She was showing clear signs of increased work of breathing, including belly breathing, visible retractions, and complaints of chest and back pain with breathing. Her heart rate was 151, her respiratory rate was elevated, and her oxygen saturation was around 93%. As her parent, my biggest concern was how quickly her condition could worsen, and the possibility of her progressing into respiratory arrest. A paramedic had previously noted wheezing, yet Dr. Patrick stated her lung sounds were clear and did not appear concerned by how hard she was visibly working to breathe. I suggested that albuterol might help open her airway, but he told me it is only used for people with asthma, and no breathing treatment was offered. During the visit, he asked if she was up to date on her vaccines, and I answered no. After that, his tone noticeably changed, and the interaction no longer felt objective or supportive. When I explained that I would prefer for her to be seen by my clinical professor, who specializes in pediatrics as a nurse practitioner, he responded by saying there was "no such thing" as a nurse practitioner specializing in anything." At that point, I made the decision to leave. As I was walking out with my daughter, he made a comment in the hallway, in front of staff, saying "maybe you should vaccinate your kids." That was unprofessional, inappropriate, and completely unnecessary. As a nursing student, I have been taught that medical professionals should leave personal biases outside of the patient's room and remain aware of their own biases when providing care. In this situation, that standard was not met. Instead, it felt like my child's care was influenced by judgment, and the comment about vaccines was thrown in my face rather than handled professionally. I spend a significant amount of time in clinical settings shadowing nurses and have seen a range of bedside manners. Unfortunately, this was the worst bedside manner I have personally experienced. Parents bring their children to the ER expecting professionalism, compassion, and objective care. I left feeling that my daughter's respiratory distress was minimized and that the overall interaction lacked the level of care any patient deserves. I would not recommend this provider based on my experience with him. That said, this review does not reflect the practice as a whole. The nurse, paramedics, and Debbie who helped me were all amazing, and I truly appreciated the kindness and professionalism they showed during a very stressful situation.

What was especially concerning was an interaction involving a male nurse who made inappropriate and offensive comments about a patient who was there seeking help. When the patient decided to leave because of the way they were treated, other staff members appeared to try to walk back or minimize what their coworker had said. The nurse should have known better and it honestly seemed like he thought the patient wasn't in the right head space to understand what he said, so he felt comfortable saying it to make his co workers get a kick out of the patients situation I asked one of the nurses in the back for the male nurse's name, and she responded, "I don't know his name." Considering that she appeared to be his coworker, that response was difficult to understand and made the situation even more frustrating. Patients come to urgent care because they need medical attention and expect to be treated with professionalism, dignity, and respect. Based on what I witnessed, that was not the experience here. I hope management takes situations like this seriously and addresses how patients are treated by staff.

The next available slot was a month later, which was disappointing.She couldn't work me in since it was her fault in cancelling my appointment in the first place. Despite arriving 15 minutes early as indicated in multiple emails, I encountered issues checking in due to the receptionists being occupied. When I finally checked in, I was informed that I should have arrived 30 minutes early per the instructions from Ms. Rodriquez, which contradicted the previous communications. It was frustrating to wait an additional 30 minutes, only to learn that I might not be seen that day due her ridiculous notion of wanting new patients to wait for 30 minutes, even when I completed ALL paperwork online. The nurse was the only courteous staff member I encountered, and I felt that overall, the office is poorly managed and does not prioritize patients' time. Do not waste your time and money at this office. It is understaffed and not efficient.

I chose the practice because of its strong reviews, and my first visit gave me high hopes. The…read moreoffice was clean, I was seen on time, and the physician in training who saw me before Dr. G was outstanding: thorough, thoughtful, and attentive. That first visit was so positive that I even recommended the practice to my mom, aunt, and sister. Everything after that was the opposite. It took multiple calls to get my prescriptions sent correctly after they were sent to the wrong pharmacy and most weren't sent at all, and we'll call you back took days. Then, When my lab results were ready, I called and was told they could simply be emailed to me, and they were. A few hours later, I received a notice that I had missed an appointment and was being charged a $35 no-show fee. I called the next morning, explained the misunderstanding, and was told to come in Friday to review my labs. On Friday, the receptionist handed me paperwork for an annual wellness visit I never requested and had recently completed. When I tried to explain I was there only for a lab review, she repeatedly interrupted, waved me back toward the waiting area and simply repeated multiple times that was what I was scheduled for. I said I did not request a wellness visit. I was told I would be charged another no-show fee despite being there in front of her if I didn't have this procedure done (despite having had it done recently). When I asked about the attitude, she laughed and said "I'll go get my lead", I never asked for a supervisor. The receptionist left and returned with the office lead, whose first words to me were, "What do you need?" She did not ask what happened, only repeated the policy and said I would be charged. I asked if I could briefly speak with Dr. G about the scheduling error. I was told no. I asked to simply leave my phone number so Dr. G could call me later so I could share my feedback, and while I was finishing writing it, the office lead demanded I go sit down to finish it or threatened to call the police. THREATENED TO CALL TGE POLICE, when there is nobody behind me, when I didn't raise my voice or curse, I wasn't asked to leave, simply because I was unhappy paying a no show fee for showing up to a type of appointment I didn't request. There were no patients waiting behind me, and I said repeatedly that I was happy to leave if that was what they wanted. While she had the police dialed she went back and Dr. G eventually came to the front. I appreciated that, but before I could explain, I was told I couldn't disruptive as she was arriving (I wasn't even speaking to her yet) and she referred any feedback back to the office lead. After seeing the same behavior from the doctors as the tone deaf staff, I left because it was clear my concerns were not going to be heard and the staff is one that escalates simple matters. This was a scheduling misunderstanding, not a safety issue. A receptionist or office lead should listen, clarify, and de-escalate, not jump straight to threatening to call the police. Because of how this was handled, I called my family and told them not to become patients. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this office to others or trust it with my family's care.
