Alena, who did our hair, was simply phenomenal. She carefully walked through the inspo photos we provided and made thoughtful suggestions based on our face shapes and event needs. I told her I wanted volume at the crown, but still needed a style that would hold all night long--and wow, did she deliver. My hair stayed perfectly in place for 12+ hours, with lightweight hairspray that didn't feel stiff and a secure yet gentle hold using bobby pins. Alena's approach was kind, open, and collaborative, and her execution was perfection. I truly felt beautiful and comfortable the entire night. Mercedes, who did our makeup, was equally amazing. She matched our references exactly--giving my daughter a fresh, natural glow, and giving me a smoky glam look with a subtle shadow wing that was elegant and dramatic without being overdone. As a newbie to the area, I didn't know but if you come here on a Saturday be prepared to park far away at City Hall and walk over. Not a big deal unless you're 8 months pregnant and hot! I understand she has a business and a family as well, but I messaged her 36 hours before the appointment she had plenty of time to respond to me to tell me she was going to have to charge me. I also asked her several time if there was any way if we could make this work out, if I could join a wait list if there was ever I time she had extra space in the day where I can apply the fee to a new service - she said no.
