First time here & recommend by a friend. The service was quick! Our sever was quick and attentive. The chips and salsa came out immediately...warm! The Ambiance was super cauthentic with their decor. The food came out HOT & DELICIOUS!!! My husband got the QuesaBirra dinner and said they were phenomenally delicious! I asked for a special order of a Quesadilla Appetizer (which was HUGE!) I ordered the chimichanga dinner which came with refried beans, rice, & 3 chimichanga's topped with cheese, sour cream, tomatoes, lettuce, & guacamole the food looked delicious, and tasted delicious. The waiter was friendly & attentive and did a great job. The dining room had some designs with dim lighting. There was a good amount of parking. The food is fresh and tasty. They 'over stuff' anything you order. The bean and cheese tostadas are amazing. They don't get 5 stars because their salsa and ground beef filling are not that great. Other places in the area are much better. Lastly, their new minimum order value for delivery is too high for a single person to meet. They have a pretty high delivery charge so that should allow people like me to order delivery. I don't drive so now I'm forced to take my business elsewhere. read more

This place is wonderful! I went there with my very picky So Cal sidekick who doesn't give Michigan Mexican much props, but even he loved this place. Very small but very authentic. Great salsa! The prices have skyrocketed to being past ridiculous. Especially when you're paying almost $20 for a grilled entree and only receive 7 pieces of steak that's supposed to fill up 3 tortillas. I found this restaurant through DoorDash and I am so glad I did. I had the Burrito dinner with chunky beef and cheese and it was delicious! The food was fresh, packaged well and was a really good price. They are definitely going to become one of my go-to places. I haven't been to any of the locations so I can't comment on the staff or the feel of the place but I am definitely going to check it out once the lockdowns are lifted. I highly recommend! read more

I can't believe that I have driven past this little hut of gastronomic delight for FOUR years and never stopped to explore it's fare. What a loser I've been. Endless tanks of gas spewed into our atmosphere searching for the taco cart with the best al Carbon. Waiting weeks for the free time to go to Armando's for tamales and enchiladas. And little did I know that on my twice weekly, or more, drives downriver I could have had it all. Yo Adrian! THEY ARE A CONTENDER!!! Okay, enough drama and movie dialogue. Angelina's food is really, really good. The chips were quite fresh (read warm) and the mild salsa was very tasty. I didn't try the hot. Daughterwhospeakstofastformetounderstand ordered Tacos al Carbon. I made the silly mistake of tasting them. GODDAMN! they were the best I've had. Ever. Really. Sorry taco carts-we will return for the experience, but you have been bested. I ordered a combination plate with a burrito, tostada, enchilada, and taco. Then I added a tamale. Rice and beans were included. My oh my. How good it was. I decided to take the folks at Grady Central a sample. They raved and raved. Tip: Small dining room. Expect a wait. First off, it has to be said: when I walked in and saw other Mexicans, I was immediately relieved. You'd never catch a Mexican eating at a place like Amigo's, but there were at least 4 or 5 other Mexicans at Angelina's. The place was busy when I arrived and it was seat yourself, but a waitress quickly came with tortilla chips and salsa. The salsa was good, and so was our app, the shrimp quesadilla. It would be more than enough for one person as a lunch. The shrimp was cut up inside the quesadilla so that it could be evenly distributed and easily chewed. I had the carnitas tacos, which are served with pico de gallo on top. They were very good, but the carnitas are not as good as carnitas found elsewhere (like Honey Bee Market). Instead of shredded, they are cubed and were a little tough. But they worked very well with the pico de gallo and lime, and they come with a little side of guacamole, which I did not try. The beans and rice were good; the beans, actually, were excellent and very flavorful. The rice was just good. Some have said that the portion sizes are small. I wouldn't say that. I think that they are adequate, but they are not huge - so if you have a large appetite, perhaps get an appetizer. I could only finish two tacos (four come on a plate) and part on my beans, part of my rice. All in all, I will definitely be back. read more

I was doing some business at Ford in Allen Park yesterday and wanted to bring in lunch for some people. They wanted Mexican so I Yelped and found Angelina`s on Allen Road . This was a carry out. They have specials on the back. I ordered one of the the family combo meal so there was something for everyone. I had the tacos and they were some of the best I had had. A little smaller and tighter than Mexican Village but better tasting. The chips were hot and fresh. People raved about the salsa..both the mild and the hot. The food was packed very neatly. Everybody asked me where I picked the food up at, It was a big hit. It is a nice clean small restaurant right on Allen Road. I will come back to eat lunch and sit down inside next time. Not sure if they have cocktails or not..but I will find out. :) read more
