First off I've ordered from This location several times. The food is always good. I love how you can order through the Door Dash App. I would give Five Stars for the food and the ability to use the app and the speed from order to ready (especially on Taco Tuesday). If you want the product the way they make it without eliminating or changing an item don't hesitate to order from here. My issue was I had a request to change FROM chipotle sour cream TO regular sour cream on an order of Carne Asada Fries. On the app there is a box that says "Preferences...add special instructions ". I didn't want to chance it so I went and ordered at the restaurant. The young girl behind the register was nice and pleasant and let me order directly to her. She seemed to understand what my request was. Unfortunately when I got home it was wrong, it had the chipotle sour cream on it. It's just very disappointing when I took special steps to get it right that it was wrong. I asked the young lady when she handed me my order if she thought I would have got the swapped ingredient had I requested it in the "Preferences Special request box on the app. She said yes. Fortunately it was not a food allergy issue it was just a taste preference. So now Taco Stand has dropped off my Taco Tuesday lineup options. The food is good just don't try to alter the ingredients. The portions were also good and I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the small fries which I shared with my friend. I really liked the horchata as well. In the midst of the freezing cold, I was in the streets looking for a place to grab some good food. Of course I jumped on Yelp to find the nearest and best place to go... Considering that I wasn't far, The Taco Stand seemed to peak my interest. Upon arrival, I could tell that it was pretty slow and I'm sure the weather is to blame. But I walked in and the facility looked pretty clean on the inside. I couldn't see behind the counter but it looked alright. I placed my order with the young lady and she was pleasant. I waited about 15min for my food to be ready. It smelled really good. I got to the car and started to try out the food. The tacos were pretty good. I wouldn't say the best I've ever had, but they were flavorful. The fries were pretty decent too. I wish they were just a tad bit crunchier. I know the meat and cheese takes away from it, but they didn't have that crunch like most fries. They were still tasty and I LOVE the fact that they used Fresh cut potatoes. So good. Mid..at best. Very pricy. What gets us sideways is the chicken..it is so plain. No spice detected, at all. The chicken bowl-which is chicken over rice and beans- was made without a lick of salt! The ground chicken definitely was full of misc bones ground up in the mixture. No cheese is put on unless you ask. They do use double shells-but it's so basic. I don't like the wait, and it feels unwelcoming inside. PS. Update: We took a chance as it was quite a long time since ordering from there. I ordered a chicken bowl-and it was sooo salty..just terrible! They went from zero spice, salt or Mexican flavor- to nothing but a ton of salt! I knew I was in trouble when they recommended the California burrito. I wanted authentic Mexican food not an American version of it. I ordered a asada torta sandwich which I have been dying to try because I was told they were delicious from other restaurants. I am disappointed with the burrito I received from this location. I usually go to the Allen Park location but I was close to the Riverview location this day. I ordered a steak taco stand burrito with avocado and sour cream. I got about 75% rice in the burrito. Most of it consisted of rice and beans and very little meat. I've been here plenty of times and have nothing but wonderful things to say about the food, customer service and staff. You can't beat the price to quality ratio unless you're eating here. 99% of the time when I come it is Ashley taking my order and she kills it. The kitchen staff is quick too. I haven't tried anything from the menu that I don't like yet, and their meat, salsa, and toppings always taste fresh and delicious. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who likes quick, easy, delicious authentic Mexican food. read more

Walked in on a whim, they had no menus to read, just a small copy taped to the counter, and some screens overhead, that were hard to see. Couldn't read it so I ordered 3 beef tacos, no onion and no cilantro. Received 3 "steak" tacos, no lettuce or cheese, just some overcooked plain meat that was hard to chew. Wow! I wish we had discovered this gem sooner! Decided to give it a try tonight and was so very happy we did. I love tacos al pastor, and these guys nailed it! Perfect flavor, and they did not skimp on the pineapple. I ordered the carne asada for my mom, and she was super happy also! We rounded it out with rice, beans, and chips/salsa. Since my initial review was deleted, I'll try again. The tacos we ordered were not the ones we got so I had to drive back and the girl at the counter acted like she couldn't be bothered. Finally after 30 mins, they finally got the order right but the food was so salty I felt like I was going to have a heart attack after two bites. A terrible excuse for a taco stand and needless to say, we will never return. read more

They remade my food for me without any questions after i forgot to ask for an ingredient off :) very appreciative.

I use to love this place but I hadn't been there in a few month so I decided to get it today and it has gone downhill dramatically. To start off the salsa is watered down SO bad it tastes likes straight up water and the consistency is so runny... on top of that they made the cups way smaller so you're essentially getting no salsa at all. Why are they being so stingy? I use to love their bowls and Al pastor tacos but they were both FLAVORLESS today. read more

The menu is limited which is fine. The food is tasty but I wouldn't put it up against any of the taquerias I've visited in cities with a larger Mexican population like Chicago. It's great for a carry out lunch. They have limited indoor seating and a small patio for outdoor seating. No waitstaff. All in all, it's better than any fast food and priced similarly. Stopped in for lunch for first time. Clean place. Ordered three corn tacos, pork, chicken and steak, asked for no cilantro. Of course they all had cilantro on them. Got their red sauce and green sauce. Red was a medium heat and green had no heat. Of the three tacos the steak had the best taste by far. To me the sauces took away from the tacos instead of adding to them. If I come back I'll get a steak burrito, betting that will be really good. Probably would be three and a half stars if no cilantro and four stars if the sauce was better. read more

We love Taco Stand. I've frequented the Taylor one for years and the Riverview one is great too, it's close to home and the staff is always very pleasant. Their chicken street style burritos are my favorite and their carne asada fries are fantastic. They do have have a bit of a spice kick if you're not ready for it. read more

First time trying this place and it was fantastic. Newest location and very close to home for me. Wife got a burrito and it was stuffed with chicken, more chicken than rice and most places load you up on rice so this was very surprising! I got 3 quesadillas each with a different meat and let me tell you, they did not skimp on the meat. Chicken tasted good with enough seasoning to not need a sauce for flavor. Steak was the same. Chorizo tasted amazing and it was NOT greasy like chorizo usually is. That makes a huge difference when your flour/corn tortillas are NOT soaked with oil/grease. The red sauce has a little more kick than I was expecting, which is good for me, and it has a great flavor and goes well with the food. We will definitely be ordering from here again. read more
