Angelina's has some notable upsides and a couple downsides. First, I am not a fan of their standard cheese slice. It seems to have too much "flop" and the dough is not very toothsome or crispy. Overall, the slices tend to be oily too. However, Angelina's makes up for this in other areas. Their chicken and pepperoni rolls are not only huge but delicious. Their empanadas are also fantastic. And their burgers are shockingly great! They always cook the beef to the requested temperature. (I like mine medium rare.) The chicken tenders are also really good. Moreover, some of Angelina's specialty slices, like the chicken piccata and the so-called "Pizza from Mars" are creative, if nothing else. The interior is also clean and inviting and the partners who run this restaurant are super kind. It's a great place in Cold Spring to stop for a quick lunch, or dinner break, but you may want to choose from the menu instead of just grabbing a slice. read more

We had really satisfying dinner at Angelina's during our recent stay in Cold Spring. It was Monday night and many businesses in town were closed. I found Angelina's through yelp and after reading positive reviews, we walked from our bed and breakfast on main st. We ordered spicy chicken tortilla soup, chicken frances (lemon chicken) which came with a nice portion of pasta (we got angel hair pasta) coated in simple marinara sauce, and hamburger with sweet potato fries. Our order also came with a nice warm basket of house bread and simple salad. Portion was generous and the food was excellent! Especially chicken frances was impressive. Chicken was super tender and moist and the lemon sauce was truly lemony without being too sour. The burger was also fresh with meaty patty and served on kaiser roll(?) instead of typical burger bun. The place is a casual spot with a good amount of indoor sitting area, away from the main street. We actually liked that it was somewhat off the beaten path and not on super touristy main street. Clean, hip decor without being pretentious. Overall, really enjoyed our food here and appreciated friendly service from the staff as well as clean environment. They are doing great job with covid restrictions (social distancing, staff wearing masks and gloves.) The price point is reasonable and we will not hesitate to dine here again next time we are in town! read more

My kids are moving to Cold Spring g and my Son-in-Law and I were doing some pre work on the house and needed dinner. I saw that Angelina's had a good looking Sicilian pie, so we ordered one. Pizza is a lil heavy on the cheese n light on the char- which makes it soft with no crunch. Sauce is very good. I'd prefer it baked a lil more but it's not a bad slice at all. Glad I read the reviews and tried this place because the pizza was very good! All fresh ingredients and it makes a big difference in the taste! Service was great too. We had the "Cold Spring Salad" which consists of "crisp apples over mixed greens, fresh cranberries, mandarin, and goat cheese" with Raspberry Vinaigrette dressing and it was so yummy! We couldn't decide on which pizza to get so we got half "Pizza from Mars" (Mascarpone, Truffle Oil, Sun Dried Tomato, Spinach & Mushroom) and half "Sorgente Fredda Pizza" (Grilled Chicken, Broccoli Rabe and Mozzarella). Creative signature slices like their MARS with truffle oil, sun dried tomatoes, and mushrooms to their Taco slice fully loaded with taco fixings, to their classic standards like bacon chicken ranch and meat lover's. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. They take their specialty slices to the next level. You stumble upon this gem of a lunch or dinner spot in Cold Spring and you are one of the lucky ones. Kamal, the owner, is super friendly, and clearly loves classic rock as the walls are adorned with framed Beatles and Hendrix posters. Staff is nice, attentive, and helpful. Unexpected surprise. The place does not look like much from the outside, but if you are in a neighborhood do drop in, you won't be disappointed. Food is freshly prepared. Very disappointed in their takeout food. We have been trying them out for a few weekends over the winter as a result of local comments about the quality and value. Last week my husband and I ordered a few slices of "specialty pizza" and an eggplant hero and the slices came with the wrong toppings and very little toppings for the extra $$. The eggplant hero was so bad we threw it out. Before posting here, I sent the restaurant an email from their site explaining the situation and asking for a refund. No response. A very good restaurant and pizzeria located in the Foodtown shopping plaza in Cold Spring. I will admit, I was a little skeptical of this restaurant for the longest time. It doesn't look like much, and my general experiences with pizzerias-in-shopping-complexes haven't always been positive. But given the very positive reviews that Angelina's has long received on Yelp, I swallowed my pride and placed a takeout order here one evening when I didn't feel like cooking. Boy, was it worth it. I walked in on a Thursday - you wouldn't think that the place would be busy on that day, but there were a fair number of people occupying the small number of booths that constitute the dining space at Angelina's. The owner manning the counter was a friendly guy and told me that my order would be ready in 15 minutes. When I returned, my food was ready, waiting and piping hot. The owner made sure I had a takeout menu - I did - and the price for my meal was quite reasonable. I ordered penne ala vodka, and it came with a nice side salad and a very large piece of bread. The penne ala vodka was quite good, and Angelina's indeed lives up to its reputation as a quality place to order some terrific food. The dish was flavorful and there were plenty of leftovers, all of which tasted even better the next day. Angelina's also serves up a variety of tasty, appealing dishes in addition to their highly successful penne ala vodka. This tiny little restaurant smelled great, and the odors of food clung to my coat in a good way after I left the restaurant. Also, the patrons who were there on that Thursday all seemed to be enjoying their meals. An older gentleman was eating a bowl of pasta e fagioli soup that looked scrumptious. Angelina's is definitely worth checking out. Cheaper than some of Cold Spring's more upscale places, Angelina's is a nice place to get a casual, high quality meal at a very low cost. read more

We recently moved back to Cold Spring after several years on the West coast, to find...surprise! ANGELINA'S! I think it's as good as, if not better than, any pizza I've had outside of Brooklyn. For real. Their pasta is good too, although it's a bit steep and sometimes too oily for my tastes. If you go, bring a bottle of wine and kick back in a booth. Or, order to go and write some poetry in the "waiting for take out" book by the register. You can even order from their online interactive menu, it's super easy. My only complaint is that $2.50 per topping is a lot for a family on a budget. It adds up, especially when your wife prefers Spinach-Garlic-Fresh Tomatoes on her pizza, it's over twenty bucks. Finally got the chance to go to Angelina's on my day off. What really brought me in that day was the picture of their garlic knots . When we got there we were greeted by the owner , Kamel and a basket of knots on the house . We love his other two locations Beacon Bread Company & Tito's Taqueria . I ordered a plain slice , to get a feel of the place . Of course it was DELISHHHH. My boyfriend had a BACON EGG & CHESSE SLICE . Thats right , a bacon egg and cheese slice lol. Best Vegan Pizza Ever!!! - I have had a lot of vegan pizza but this one is my favorite, hands down. We ordered the Grandma pizza. Well of course the pizza itself without cheese is fabulous and I usually order it without cheese when I eat pizza unless vegan is available. The crust was thin but not too thin so it flops. It was crunchy yet not dry. The tomato sauce and spices were delicious. I don't like when the (Vegan) cheese overwhelms the pizza and this did not disappoint. Came here after doing the popular breakneck ridge hike and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the restaurant. Though Angelina's is ostensibly a Pizzeria, the menu offers plenty of healthy options you can order if you're somehow not in the mood for pizza. I ordered the "Pizza from Mars" and I can't recommend it enough. The combination of the truffle oil, spinach and sun-dried tomatoes work beautifully with the creamy mascarpone cheese. I'm glad I ordered the personal pizza, but you can also get individual slices and try a few more varieties. I must also mention that the interior ambiance of the restaurant is a cut above your standard local pizzerias. Though small, Angelina's makes up for the lack of space by having a quiet, quaint charm accompanied by an eclectic, soothing soundtrack always kept at a comfortable volume. read more

I had Sorgente Fredda Pizza after 7 hour hike in Breakneck Ridge. I chose this place because this place had the highest Yelp rating in Cold Spring. The pizza was amazing - I was able to taste the sauce, cheese, and all the little ingredients on the pizza. The pizza had a good balance of texture between crust and rest of the pie. In addition, they had some amazing root beer from Sprecher. I've never had it until I was at this place, and I would recommend it to anyone who's a fan of a good root beer. read more

We've been eating at Angelina's since 2010 on our way to hike the nearby mountains. We've always enjoy the cool relaxed vibe & the good food here. They have craft beer - doc's cider!!! lagunitas IPA!! and Feltiman's Ginger Beer for minors. Their pizza has paper thin crust which turns crispy when heated. I've eaten eggplants with marinara & basil, mushroom with spinach & cheese, and my bf BBQ chicken and we were very satisfied with the quality of food, the service of friendly & prompt teenage waiter, and the price: 4 pizza & ginger beer rings up to $16. Went here for pizza with my husband and Angelina's delivered. The fresh mozzarella and plain slices we're good. The barbecue chicken slice had real barbecue sauce which was a nice surprise. The staff were friendly and the place was very clean. Also, the fact that there is parking is a huge plus give how busy Main Street can get.
