We were give a gift certificate to Floria. What a pleasant surprise. Their pizza has to be the best in the area. Usually when you get pizza the sauce is on the sweet side. But at Florina you taste the herbs in the sauce. Our pizza had a wonderful thin crust and was cooked perfectly. My order was ready on time. We also ordered wings and they were nice and crunchy! 7/28/23 - we haven't been by here in a while. I don't know why? The owner; Edwin always takes good care of us. For a change, I tried the manicotti, instead of a slice, or a hero. Bring an appetite; it comes with a house, salad and garlic knots, and there are 4 large manicotti on the plate. For $16. I couldn't make this at home for that amount. Besides, it's late July and the temperatures are in the 90's do you think I really want to cook? My friend had the mussels Fra Diavolo. They call it an appetizer, it's more of a meal. And they can adjust the sauce to make it a little hotter or not. The sauce is very good, use the garlic knots as a scarpetta so you don't waste a drop. Been living here for over a year and somehow missed this place. Their sauce is pretty good and i love how thin the crust is. I also love how they use tomato sauce on the CBR so it doesnt get so dry and glueing like other places. I would recommend just eating there, i feel the pizza lost crispyness in the box/car. This small restaurant serves up wood fired as well as traditional oven pies. I ordered a meat lovers pie along with wings and their house salad for take out. It did take longer than I expected. The meat lovers pie was topped with tons of meat with a thicker crust. I enjoyed the slightly charred part of the crusts since it was crispy. The house salad came with a thick house sauce and was decent. The wings were disappointing. The meat was on the tougher side and some pieces were really small. I do recommend coming here for the pizza. They have a good selection available to purchase for single slices, which are huge btw. I finally figured it out. The pizza was really good some years back I would assume someone of authentic Italian ancestry was there. The Spanish/Mexican pizza makers just don't have the same flavor palette and this is true for many locations. The dough is dry ( poor quality flour ) the sauce doesn't taste right, ( poor quality products used ) not much better than a frozen pie. Make your own at home it's so much better Florinas pizza sauce, It's either too sweet or has an off taste with the seasoning they use or lack of. You can go to the same pizza place and two people make the pizza taste different. I only go once in a while for pizza I'll be skipping Florinas It just doesn't scratch that " I want great pizza itch" Make your own at home save the money. The place was clean but there was no indoor dining. The slices are large and appropriately $5 a slice. Some less, some more. They were polite and friendly. The pizza was warmed a little bit not hot. I'm one of those that really like it hot. The crust wasn't bad in flavor and a bit thin (which I like). When we first got into the car all we smelled was garlic. We're not huge fans of garlic. We feel it's a spice, like all others and should be used to enhance not drown. But again, that is how we feel. That all combined is why I only gave 3 out of 5.
