Beautiful setting - absolutely gorgeous! Front desk person very welcoming, polite, friendly. Now......all I can say is that my massage was.....meh. I feel SO guilty (and I wish I didn't have to feel that way!!), because I guess I should have said something. But every massage I've ever had, the person massaging me would ask...'is this the right pressure?', or 'is this too light/too heavy', etc..... I was wanting to relax, just let it happen. But, for this $110/hr massage, I was kind of 'rubbed' lightly for an hour. Three words: Massage with Carol. OMG, I have had hundreds of massages at dozens of spas. Literally, every time I travel. This was one of the best. From the hot towels on your back and feet, to using lotion rather than oil, the the mechanical table that can adjust to take pressure off your back...I'm in love. Smart details from start to finish. And Carol is fantastic! Granted, I was her first massage of the day, but she was firm and strong. She doesn't talk all massage, either. She picks up on cues. Went with my son's girlfriend for pedicures for both of us, a massage for her, and a facial for me. We enjoyed a relaxing afternoon; no complaints. The aesthetician who did my facial, Maria, was exceptionally talented and professional, and our visit was enjoyable from start to finish. Even a billing error was handled quickly and competently by the manager the following day. Clean, relaxing changing room with lockers and shower; comfortable waiting room with tea and flavored water, plus a very friendly resident cat on the porch. Mid-week special prices are a great value, so if you can time your escape for a weekday, it's definitely worth it! read more

This MUST be one of the best-kept secrets of the area. From the outside, Angeline Spa is a small house on the property of the Clearwater Casino on the Suquamish Reservation. But inside is a cozy, luxurious day spa with a menu of body treatments and spa experiences to rival larger establishments. I have been here a couple of times, and both times I was expertly pampered by fabulous professionals. The prices are on par with other day spas in Seattle, but the setting adds SO MUCH VALUE! There is a decadent Relaxation Room where you can hang while waiting for your service, or even linger after your service is done when you aren't ready to leave. It overlooks the Agate Pass and the grounds of the resort. It felt completely centering to sit and gaze out the window and watch a boat fishing in the pass, take off and land in the water, and forget that the city is just beyond it all out of sight. I have had the most decadent Basalt Hot Stone massage I have ever had here, and most recently I had the Hot and Spicy detoxifying body wrap with mini-shoulder massage included. It was so relaxing I'm afraid I snored. The staff are impeccably professional and welcoming, and they are never snooty like you might find elsewhere. All this really makes you feel like you should be paying double for what you get in terms of quality, the choice, the atmosphere, the hospitality, and the total experience. But I'm sure glad I don't! I highly recommend this to any Seattleite looking for a nearby day spa retreat, or for any out of towner looking to have a relaxing resort and spa experience (see Clearwater Resort reviews). I got a gift card for the chocolate wrap and massage they offer and it was my first time here. I was very impressed. They start with putting you in a robe and flip flops and you wait in the "relaxation room" which overlooks the water. My massage therapist was Teresa, and she was amazing. I asked her for a gentler approach to taking out the knots in my back and she did exactly as asked. By far the best massage I've had. She was sweet, caring, and listened to my needs. She also explained everything she was going to do as to not present any surprises. It was a very relaxing and classy environment and I will definitely be returning! read more

I had signed up for "relaxation", but based on my questionnaire, she suggested some therapeutic work around my chronically tense area, and oh-my-gosh I left feeling better than I had in a year! I scheduled a couple's hot stone massage for my husband and I for Valentine's day. The service was decent. But the massage therapist that was assigned to me, Theresa. However very sweet-- was absolutely terrible. I could barely feel the pressure most of the time. I was freezing, the techniques she did were all wrong and she didn't use a bolster to support my feet. Instead she had me dangle my feet to each side of the massage table. I had to pee the first half hour (which you're supposed to check for before having a client get on the table). She also kept talking to me. About my name and what nationality I was. She also put me face down while my husband was face up, and visa versa. So we couldn't even enjoy each other's company. The massage I had was quite relaxing, and it was different than any other spa that I'd experienced previously as it had a heated massage table to lay on that also could adjust positions. However in the room I was in, you could hear the spa's entry way doorbell and people talking at the front desk which took away from the experience. read more

I came to Angeline hoping they could save my nails after I received the worst manicure ever from Carkeek Nails. They were able to take the disaster that the other place had made of my nails and not only restore the natural nails to their former beauty, but also improve them without making them any shorter! In addition, the staff was amazingly nice and most accommodating. They make you feel valued and special. The rooms are wonderfully clean and from the moment you walk in everything just smells amazing. The furnishings are most comfortable and the view is breathtaking. The staff will also make sure that you are well taken care of, from offering tea/coffee/fancy water to fantastic conversation. My husband took us to the Clearwater resort for our 2 day honeymoon and he spoiled me by getting me set up with a pedicure, manicure on the first day and deep tissue massage the next day. I left feeling pampered and happy. If you have the chance to visit this spa, it is well worth the trip! read more

You would never know that tucked behind the bright Clearwater Casino lights and monstrous parking garage that a lovely waterfront resort hotel and spa can whisk you away into pure Northwest relaxation. The Angeline Spa is a Must-Visit due to its friendly staff, gracious attention to detail, a spectacular Northwest waterfront view, and relaxing spa facials, body treatements, massages, mani/pedis, etc. Unlike many other spas, prices are reasonable, selection is diverse (Warm Peach Cobbler Wrap!), and most importantly, the overall ambiance is unpretentious! The spa is a house-converted-to-spa cottage and it is tastefully designed and very cozy. You can lounge in the relaxation room before and after treatments and enjoy an amazing view of Agate Passage. On this week's visit, the hubby and I enjoyed a overnight getaway at the resort plus much needed Angeline Spa massage treatments. I asked myself, why haven't I come back more often? Abina's maternity massage had me planning my next appointment real soon. On a previous visit, the Manager graciously coordinated over e-mail a family reunion spa day for 8 of us, including several folks who have never been to a full-service resort spa. Sadly not what I had hoped for. The place was beautiful but the massage therapist I had was not good. I can't remember her whole name but on my receipt it says the therapist was Ablemont. I felt like she was massaging my bones and didn't really get into massaging my muscles at all. I felt like I kept waiting and waiting for her to start getting to massaging. I was very disappointed. A shout out to Diane Dempsey & Evelyn at Angeline Spa. Ended 2018 with a fantastic service on New Year's Eve. First visit and I was impressed with this smallish spa with BIG service! I was immediately greeted with friendly service (Diane), she showed me to the locker room, went over everything with me then when I had changed she escorted me to the relaxation room which had the most beautiful water view, fireplace, refreshments and all with a gorgeous sunset. Evelyn then came, greeted me, reviewed my intake form and went over the service asking me questions to ensure my expectations were understood. The entire massage was relaxing and the first time I have experienced a zero gravity position (bad back) that took pressure off my back while getting massaged. The SERVICE was that of large spas like Mandarin Spa's, 5 star hotel spas. The spa is on the small side so I took 1 star off but not because of service, amenities or experience. I would add the view from the relaxation suite and being small and less crowded made it special. So this was a great find and I'd highly recommend it. Ask for Diane & Evelyn. First the good things about Angeline Spa: It is possibly THE most beautiful spa I have ever been to (and I've been to a few). It's located in it's own building adjacent to the new Clearwater Casino Resort - also a completely gorgeous place. I went here with two friends for manicures/pedicures the day before my wedding. Fortunately, the Angeline was able to fit us in just a few days before after the original spa I booked (Port Gamble) emailed me to say they had closed. The manager, Belinda, offered us "mini" pedicures/manicures - a service not on their menu because we had a schedule to meet that day and had to wait for each other to complete the 1 hr 15 min treatment. Belinda assured me the $80 service was everything the regular service was (cleaning, polish, massage) - except for the parrafin treatments. In general, the staff present that day were very nice and accomodating. The quiet waiting area was outstanding. Now for the parts that were disappointing: When we arrived, one friend wasn't with us because she had fallen ill. I booked a massage ($95) last minute - the business didn't lose any money. One friend had booked a massage in advance but then had to wait an extra hour and a half beyond the original appt time. Apparently, someone called in sick or had a funeral to attend. That on its own is completely understandable. I went in second for my mani/pedi and while listening to the stylist's stories about her family (not bad, but I didn't have a choice), I noticed she had proceeded to the polish without any of the massage. I asked her about it (didn't get her name) and she was really nice about it, explaining that her understanding was that it wasn't included. I explained I had been told otherwise and she was fantastic about following up with the staff to see if we could get some money back. Apparently, they couldn't do anything about it without the manager, Belinda but promised to convey my message and have her call me back. They offered to forgo the 18% automatic tip for our group (which we weren't told about to begin with) but at least it was a gesture. Three of us spent close to $500 that day. I never got a call back from Belinda. I called her myself and explained the situation. - how she told me the mani/pedi service would include everything but the parrafin and that what we got wasn't worth the $80. All she kept saying was that she felt their services were worth the extra expense. I kept saying "but we didn't get the promised service" and we just went around and around. She claimed a few contradictory things like "must have been a miscommunication" that we didn't get the massage part and that the mini mani/pedi wasn't on their menu while I claimed that we paid for services we were promised and didn't receive. I also heard a lot about "the company won't let me" in her answers. We had previously considered having our wedding at Clearwater too but similar attitudes caused us to choose something else. Interestingly, Belinda had taken the time to ask me twice for a credit card to hold our appointments (once when I made them and then again a few days later). Net: no phone call. no credit. no gift certificate. no interest in keeping a customer. Two stars. What a shame. read more

This is the worst massage I have ever received. The facility is very nice with a view of the water. The staff was also friendly. I booked a 60 minute Swedish massage - I have had several in the past. I don't know if my massage therapist was tired or what but I kept waiting for the massage to start it it felt like it never did. She did everything BUT massage - she stretched my arms, stretched my legs, put hot washcloths on my feet, hands and face, pressed tons of pressure points...but didn't really massage. The kicker was that she said she does the back massage while I am lying on my back. What? So she pretty much used my body weight to do her massage and it was not very relaxing and lasted a little over 10 minutes. Waste of $100...I will not be returning. read more

Sadly, I was very disappointed with my massage received here and the facial was just okay. My brother, sister and I came in for a special occasion and we were all in agreement that we would not be returning. My brother and I had the same masseuse (shorter Hawaiian lady) and while very nice, she lacked any technique. Just a bunch of rubbing and swishing on top of the sheet as well, it was incredibly bad. Beautiful space overall but the massage was a huge disappointment and so was the wrap. I paid for a body wrap and body massage which was way over priced for a service that was not even mediocre. I've had better serices at the fast food of massage places, Massage Envy. There was loud plastic under the sheets while my massage was being preformed by Theresa who is very nice but not what I was hoping for massage wise. Not relaxing, not therapeutic and not going back. I could not relax due to the loud rustling in my ears. Wrapping the bed prior to the massage is a bad idea, they did this so they could go right from the massage to the body wrap. Beautiful place. Tony up front was extremely sweet and helpful. My massage therapist Avina was wonderful. One of the best massages I've ever had. Here is the problem with this place. I could hear the door chime during my massage. I could hear the spa manager talking almost the whole time . Afterwards, in the locker room, the manger came in and started cleaning up. She took my water glass, that I was still using, and my sisters towel. As much as I would love to see Avina again, its just way to noisey. That manager, needs to keep her voice down as well. An added note, I even called to talk to someone about this. No one called me back. read more

I did not have any spa services done. My husband, self, our daughter and son in law came to get some information. We were excited to book 4 massages. The spa manager, cassidy, was pushing longer massage times, or a facial. When I said nails, maybe, she said she didn't have nail services for that day. I felt pressured to spend more money, just to make this manager happy. I felt sorry for the girl working behind the desk. She really tried to listen to all 4 of us and gave us all the pricing pamphlets. My husband, finally fed up with the manager, made us walk out. She did come outside to let us know that the appointments book up quick, and we should book now. Went to Poulsbo and had 4 great massages done by another spa. We also payed about 25% less! Beautiful place, but it's not a spa. It's almost like a door to door salesman trying to sell us things we don't want or need. read more

I have been to the Angeline Spa several times and the place is gorgeous! It is a cute little building overlooking the water. The inside is beautifully decorated and there is plenty of space to relax and just melt in to the scenary. The downside, it is really, really expensive!!! The five times I have been is all because of gift certificates. I would never pay $120 for an hour long massage, to me that is way over priced. My boyfriend and I had the journey for two (basically two massage tables in one room) and for an hour each it was almost $400 The other downside is you never know what type of massage you are going to get, even if you as for just a relaxation massage. One woman just moves your body, one dug WAY too deep and caused me a lot of pain and the other was so light I didnt think she was doing anything. If you want an experience, this is the place to go but be prepared to hand over your wallet at the door. read more
