I called and left message on the Drs number and got a return text from the Dr. "Good morning, I'm so sorry to hear about your baby unfortunately I'm not on call Sundays, I don't have anyone to watch my baby". I asked to see if there was another doctor on call, but they were "not sure". I was referred elsewhere by this doctor to take my dog that was having a legit emergency. Of course, I would have paid whatever the amount was to save my dog or have her put down to keep her from suffering/pain. Sadly, she is no longer with me. One would think you would have updated information on the on-call doctor and phone number. The whole situation dealing with the dr and getting the help needed was handled unprofessionally.

We were told that the puppies might not survive and that the priority would be doing everything possible to save our momma. At that point, having her come home to us was all we could hope for. But this amazing veterinary team did far more than we thought possible. They saved our girl, and they saved 6 of her 9 puppies. Seven lives saved in one day. It is difficult to put into words how grateful we are. Those six little babies are here because this team was willing to fight for them while also taking incredible care of their mother. When you bring an animal you love into a veterinary clinic during an emergency, you are placing a member of your family in someone else's hands. Valley Veterinary Clinic showed us exactly what skill, compassion, dedication, and genuine care look like when it matters most. We walked in terrified that we might lose them all, and we walked away with our momma and six beautiful babies. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for saving seven lives today. I had someone else recently go there to her and she is treating their FIV cat and did not recommend euthanasia, so I guess our cat died so she could learn her job??? Anyway, so very hurt still as I miss that cat dearly and he did not need to die needlessly due to her ignorance. Additionally, the front staff is often unfriendly and uncaring. At all costs avoid going to this vet. They only care about money not your pet!! BTW, they are also very expensive.

When private equity takes over expect prices to rise and quality of care to go down. So, first sign I have noticed....when you call they do everything they can to avoid having to answer the phone. You are encouraged to call back if no one answers or to use the app. This is common practice for these PE firms---cut down on front office staff to increase revenue. So don't expect the phone to be answered. Go use the app and save us money on salaries. The other tactics already in play are to raise the prices on exams, try to force the customer to use Riverview's pharmacy, make it difficult to get refills without requiring an often unneeded exam, and so forth. It's time to start looking for another clinic that is not owned by private equity. My love for my dog should not be an opportunity for a profit driven PE firm to cash in on me. It's disgusting.

Her office has a small town feel, she knows my pups by name, and has wonderful flexibility to ensure they have the best care. For example, my dogs have a history of adverse vaccine reactions. She ensured that they were seen in the morning (a time when she typically performs surgery) so if they had a reaction I could call her office instead of paying emergency vet fees.
