This was a horror show. The manager obviously cannot read because he attacked me for having a dog, even though I registered with a dog; attacked me for having a second person a room, and I registered for two people. When I attacked, I mean literally attacked. He did not physically attack me, but he screamed and yelled , Even though I explained to him that my guest had PTSD. He didn't care and he completely went ballistic over nothing. When I checked in, I left my drivers license at the front counter. He initially told me that he had it, but after his freak out, he told me that he did not have it and winked his eye. He told me that he was going to shred it and winked his eye again and I never got my drivers license back! It was unbelievable. The manager is completely unhinged and should not be in a position with anything to do with guest relations. It was traumatic and truly awful. When I called Motel 6's corporate number, they referred me back to him so clearly they didn't care and nothing was resolved. read more

OK let me just start by saying that I booked this motel through Chase rewards and the photos of this property looked nothing like the actual property as far as cleanliness goes. I let the motel know that I would be arriving pretty late around midnight or so and it's sad on all the websites that I checked that they had a 24 hour front desk but when I arrive at this motel basically they said they were close by 1 AM and I checked in went to my room then I inspected everything W. T. F First of all there is no blankets there's two sheets and a really ugly duvet cover and then the biggest disgusting thing ever is there mattress protector was covered in either what looks like poop or blood I have no idea what the heck is on this thing but it is disgusting and the floors are dirty I attempted to call up Chase rewards to understand what the issue was and why it has such a good rating when this place is garbage and then I tried to get hold of the front desk either by calling them or by ringing the doorbell and yet nothing so I had to drive two hours to get back home after already driving four hours from shooting a Wedding up north I did not receive any compensation for leaving the hotel, sadly there was someone else that was trying to check in or get a room and it would've been an easy switch where I wouldn't have minded to pay a cancellation fee and then this motel could've made more money by booking another person last minute but no they were closed and yes I making us insanely long because I was livid having to drive back home This was $110 lesson that I learned read more

This is motel 6 was awful, the attitude you get just to check Inn is very unfriendly, right away they say we charge 50 for deposit. Then the cleaning ladies doesn't clean and you've to call the front desk for you to get fresh towels. They change sheets every 3 or 4 days. The ONLY night we stayed, we realized the floors were FILTHY, I mean FILTHYYY! Our feet (including my daughters) were BLACK. 2. We decided to pull back the bed sheets (because I do not like sleeping on motel bedding) & sure enough there was a dead bug smashed into the f*cking sheets. These 2 reasons alone made Us want to leave but it was midnight & we drove hrs to get here. But the next morning OMFG I woke up to a nasty f*cking roach on the floor. This is a great deal for 'low budget" motels. We were going to be in the area for a party and did not want to worry about driving all the way home so we decided it was better to rent a room for the night. I called around looking for the best deal and found this place from the yellow pages. The staff are very friendly and answered all my questions. They reassured me this was not in a scary area and they did not have creepy people wandering around. The rate was very reasonable. King bed: $55 flat fee or Queen Bed: $45 flat fee. The place was pretty good for the low budget motel category. The pool looked clean. The building is old but maintained. The rooms are fairly spacious, but the walls looked a little dingy. The A/C worked great, the bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean and crisp. The bathroom was decent. They had a low supply of towels in the room but luckily we brought our own. The rooms come with a mini refrigerator, cable TV, and free WiFi Internet access. The room I was in had a huge mirror facing the bed... interesting :) Also if you have kids with you, be careful with the remote as there is a "spicy" channel. The motel is actually in a good area. Across the street from a police station and walking distance to a nice shopping plaza, variety of fast food joints and restaurants. Considering the good and the bad of this review, overall we were very happy with our budget motel accommodations. read more

This is now known as motel 6 Pico Rivera. I'm not sure if they're a franchise of the motel 6 outlets across the nation but definitely with the newly renovated rooms and designs it's different from other motel 6 out there. First they don't have a 24hr front desk service. I'm not sure how this would place is still up and running but I went there to check in at 7:30am, I'm a travel nurse and I called the night before booking the room if they allow early check in, and the guy I spoke with over the phone told me that they do if there's room available. I know that's usually the case is to all motel 6 that I've been to. So after my 12hrs long overnight duty at work, I got to the motel around 7:30am, I've been ringing and buzzing their doorbell, says on the door ring for service but no one went outside at all. I stayed there for 30 mins. NO ONE CAME OUT. I also called around 2am but no one answers. Then I called again 4am and still the same. Then when I got there that morning, I'm like, how can this be a motel or hotel if there's no front desk? What if there's an emergency and no one is available? I ended up going somewhere else to rest that morning and I came back around 11am. I thought by that time someone will be in the front desk already but there's none. So once again I rang the door bell, and was greeted by an Indian lady who seems like she's just woke up. I told her I have reservation for today and I'm wondering if I can check in early, I told her I'm a travel nurse, I worked graveyard 12hrs shift and I'm tired. Then she told me that the earliest she can accommodate me is at 1pm. Then I told her that I called last night prior to book the room and the guy told me I can check in as early as 6am if there's a room available. Then she respond, I have no available room to give you. At that time I got heated up.. so I asked her, what are you talking about? The entire place is deserted? There's only 5 cars parked in the parking lot? If they're fully booked then the parking should have been full too? So at that point, I told her I will just go somewhere else but I want a full refund of my reservations. Then an Indian guy came out and she told him about the situation, and then I told the guy about the phone call I had last night and then he said, yes we have a room. WTF! Pretty basic motel is the best way to describe it. Upon arriving to the motel you'll see a good amount of parking spaces.. but you'll also find sketchy people standing midway out their door, just starring. Besides the sketchy neighbors, the room has a modernish design. It has wood floors and a wood panel headboard. The dark colors make for a cool vibe. I also liked that they had a microwave and a good size mini fridge. But they do not offer a coffee maker. I did not find bugs (I checked) but the toilet barely flushed and the hot water took a while to come out. Besides these minor things, it's an okay place to rest your head. I enjoyed my stay here at the motel. The sheets were clean, the room was clean, I found no roaches like these past reviews show. Managment is very friendly, and the price is not to bad either. They do ask for a $40 deposit, but you get it back if all goes well after checkout. I stayed here just one night with my partner and we both had an overall great time. The room was really nice. ***DO NOT STAY HERE*** for a motel charging over $100 per night, it makes it very difficult to get some sleep with the AC unit not being able to keep the room cool during the one night I had to stay here for work. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere that serves breakfast, have refrigerators and AC that works, don't have dirty comforters with holes/stains and a bathroom without red and brown stains on the walls. I hope this help saves people the heartache, if not then welcome to Angels Motel where you get way less than you pay for. P.S. I've stayed here for one night at a high price. I came back recently for a weekly rate and was treated disrespectfully. The older son and father have no tact. They both are absolutely arrogant and rude, for no reason. He did not acknowledge me as I walked in and waited for him to hang up his phone. He raised his voice when I asked details of the place and pricing. They whip out their hand wanting you to pay without convincing of comfort. Talk about money hungry. The owners should beware that this could shut their business down immediately and legally, if you hit the wrong nail with someone. He confidently claimed I could not find a better rate in town lol. Well let me tell you, I found an 8 day rate for $85 cheaper and for two people. The one I found was definitely "in town" and friendly staff. Angel's Motel is not clean and nice. I will start by saying that the rooms looked very nice. They looked recently remodeled and the floors were very nice. The from desk staff was also polite. My biggest cpmaint and why I am only giving 1 star is because of the MULTIPLE bugs/roaches that were in our room with me my boyfriend and our 6 month old son. I informed them of the first one and took it up there and was told it's a water bug because it's hot outside. The morning of our checkout as I pack my boyfriend's shorts which were the only clothing left on the floor and 2-3 in roach was crawling around my suitcase. I freaked out and took it up front. They were understanding and finally offered me the refund I was hoping for. So far I tried to check in 15min early as I drove from Las Vegas and needed to use the restroom. Was told that I couldn't and that check in is at 3pm. Waited 5min for someone to show up at the window to check me in once 3pm came, just to tell me my room isn't ready and to wait 10-15min. Huge inconvenience and unreliable for check in times. Had my TV looked at by maintenance and ended up having my keys taken. I knew they took them since I never left the room, I knew where I placed them before they came in, and they "found" them in the maids quarters assuming they were trying to blame the maids when I hadn't even stayed long enough to have my room serviced. We stayed 2 nights here. I know for the price I can't complain too much, but there were a few things that bothered me. The check in was fast and the gentleman was very nice. There is no elevator, so you'll have to pack your bags up and down the stairs. They remodeled the inside and did a nice job. There's a nice size fridge and a microwave and a nice tv. The air conditioner worked great at keeping the room cool. A few of the things that bothered me: The mattress was awful. The room was really clean, but smelled like weed. Both mornings I went to take a shower and there were huge cockroaches on the wall. I had to try to know them off the wall into the tub, and then smash them. I don't think anyone should ever have to fight with roaches when they pay to stay somewhere. I was appalled. I won't be staying here again. read more

The beds are comfy, and the bathroom is bigger than most. It's right next to a bunch of restaurants and a small shopping center, so it's a great location. Don't ever stay here. I know the price is cheap but there is a reason for it. My brother I'm from out of town staying there for a week. Somebody stole a bag of his room that we paid for a week for which I paid for. The people that live there are not the most honest people that I have ever had to deal with. So I told my him to check out and we will get our money back. I didn't mind just paying for the night but refund my money for the night would be the honest thing to do. But calling us liars was the last straw. I know how they stay in operation with people skills calling them a liar because they rent to criminal group due to the fact that 4 sheriffs car pull down before we wait for our officer took a report. Prices are very affordable and our room was very nice. New bathroom, new hardwood floorings, nice flatscreen tv and it just looked so nice. It has had a very nice remodel and it shows. What makes my stay a 1 star? Well for starters there was a blood stain on our sheets and we found used condoms and wrappers in the night stand drawer. We stayed for 2 days and these issues were never resolved, even with housekeeping 'cleaning' the room. read more

The rooms were average, nothing fancy, but we did have a little faucet problem in the bathroom sink. It was runnin a little slow, or slower then most but no big major problems. I was in a really nice non smoking room at first for about a week and somehow even asking to pay in advance to stay in the same room before anyone else can book the room was told was sold. They switched me to a smoking room that had just been "cleaned" I had barely woken up carrying my blankets and pillows to the next room I fell asleep for about 2 hours and woke up itching really bad and it started to burn, I woke my girlfriend up and told her to check the bed to see if there was like a spider or something and we find these bed bugs crawling everywhere baby ones big ones all bright red and after I told the office I managed to catch the housekeepers and they had told me the maintenance guy cleaned the room well he's also a resident there and has his own room full of crap told me the guy that had been in the room we were in was there for 6 months and never let anyone clean. So overall it was a good stay until they had switched me rooms I guess just ask for a room without the bed bugs if you really have to stay here. read more

I booked on hotels.com. When I arrived I told hotels.com on the phone I would be there in 30 minutes. It was 1:30 am but they assured me all was fine and I'd be good to go when I got there. When I arrived they would not answer the door. after I buzzed more than 10 times she finally does. She tells me she can't give me a room until they receive the paperwork faxed from hotels.com then she goes to hide in the back. It had been 30 minutes since my reservation so I called customer service to hurry it up. I have never had a place not let me get a room while they wait for the paperwork because they take my confirmation booking number and it's fine. So when I am the phone with customer service, behind the desk won't answer the phone for hotels.com to talk to her. She called three times. I had to buzz her back in the lobby three times before she'd come back and I was met with an eye roll and a "oh my god what?!" I asked her to talk to customer service and she is extremely brief and goes back into hiding. Frustrated, I know it will be hard to get her to come back to the front again. Hotels.com said 5-10 more minutes and I'll be good to go. It was now 2:30 and still no paperwork and I couldn't get a room. My boyfriend had to be at work early and could not keep waiting for this lady to decide to help us while I sit there trying to buzz her into help. I called hotels.com and told them what happened and they called her at the office and again no answer, at the point they gave me a refund and I went to the motel 6 five minutes away for less money. I would never deal with extremely rude customer service from that place again. Let me just say, this was by far the worst motel I have ever stayed in... and I've stayed in a lot. My whole family was bitten up by bedbugs. The management is cowardly, they just hid out, while the maintenance moved us to another room. They took no report, they didn't offer to wash our clothes or luggage, didn't offer discount or money back, etc. Not only is this motel infested with bedbugs, it also is infested with cockroaches. We killed 5 huge ones and 3 small ones. We picked up the bed in our new room and two dead cockroaches fell out along with two dead bed bugs and signs of bed bug feces stained on the box spring. The worst part was when I abruptly woke up in the middle of the night, grabbed my neck, and squished a mystery bug between my fingers. So needless to say, we spent most of our trip in paranoia and carrying out extermination procedures. The pictures give an appearance of quality and cleanliness, but they spent no time, effort, or money on making sure the place is clean and bug free. This place has a nice outward appearance, so if you are the kinda girl who looks like a super model on the outside but you got crabs down stairs... or if you are the kinda guy driving a Mercedes when you filed for bankruptcy... First of all, the maintenance staff is awesome. Friendly and very helpful. That said, the bed had BED BUGS!!! . I spoke to management and had no response except to say I probably brought them. I killed it and my blood squeezed out. There is never just one. They travel and the place might be infested so there was no point in changing rooms. After they search the room and fumigated my bed, my mother found one on her bed. She's disabled so moving would be a challenge. Management seemed to not care. We ended up staying 8 days because we had nowhere else to go. The morning of our check out, June 2nd we were locked out of our room at 8am. After a long convo with the owner he unlocked the door so we could get our belonging. Check out is 11am. No coffee maker in room. The staff was very pleasant but I don't recommend because of the rude management. At no point were we even offered an apology much less a discount for our ordeal with BED BUGS!! "Cleanliness is next to Godliness." and that the "Angels Hotel" understood all too well. The comfy yet slightly 'ghetto' little neighborhood of San Bernardino, California, that the "Angels Hotel" rests in makes it hard to believe that the hotel just might be a hidden gem. For someone who grew up on the edge of the Englewood suburbs and rough city of Denver, San Bernardino almost felt like home. The two story, L shaped, truffle brown building is home to an outdoor pool and right between the Santa Monica beach and the Rosebowl stadium. The hotel was also right down the street from a Panera bread, a Walmart and a few other restaurants, which made it even better. Once we checked in and were settled into our room we soon realized the "Angels Hotel" was by far more than exceptional when it came to ease of checking-in, cleanliness, and quality. The morning had been stressful and the ease of the entire hotel process made everything instantly melt away. My boyfriend and I had made the eighteen hour drive from Denver, Colorado all the way to Las Angeles, California only to be disappointed with our original hotel of choice and needed to find another hotel immediately. We looked on hotels.com and found the hotel on the cheapest listings-we were on a hard budget. We called the booking agent and he was instantly able to book us a room in the non-smoking section of the hotel. We immediately drove right over to the hotel and were able to check-in. Although, check-in wasn't supposed to be until eleven thirty a.m. the hotel manager allowed us to check-in an hour early. Upon checking in we needed our ID's and a valid credit card. While we waited for credit card to go through the hotel manager was very friendly with small talk and filled us in with some of the hotels guidelines: noise level, jokes about not to trashing the room. He also let us to make sure that if we had any questions to call the front desk or stop by the front desk. After, we were sent on our way to enjoy our room. We were welcomed into our room by beautiful wooden mahogany floors, a large sized window-with shades that could black out the room if we wanted, and a thirty-two inch TV all the while we were greeted by the scent of bleach and fresh linen. The scents let me know our room was fresh and clean. Before unloading our stuff we checked the bed for bed bugs and found nothing but bright white clean sheets and a silky white clean mattress topped with a thick tribal print comforter. The night stand next to our bed, the table and chair, alongside with dresser were all wooden and smelled of lemon pledge, another indication that those were also cleaned. We looked inside the mini fridge and found that it too was bleached down and ready to be used. They not only gave us fresh towels in the bathroom and new bars of soap on the first day but also on the second and third days of our stay. I opened up the window and looked down on the air-conditioner to find the vent was clean and so was the top of it. The "Angels Hotel" really knows the meaning of "Cleanliness is next to Godliness." After a long morning and drive I decided to get settled in. I first took a shower, and there was no hesitation in the water to get hot. I really enjoyed that because after a bad morning I was in no rush to wait. The bed was big, and soft enough for my boyfriend and myself to sleep comfortably. We are both taller than the average person so our feet might reach close to the end of most beds but this pillowie cloud was longer then us and that I enjoyed. To our surprise we not only had cable in our room but we also had a menu of our favorite TV shows that we were able to watch on our demand. Not only was it great to have cable but it was also nice to have high speed internet so that we could post the updates of our stay on our social media sites. The "Angels Hotel" was a great hotel for being small and individually owned. The hotel managed to combine quality, easy check-in, and cleanliness just as well as corporate hotels. The way the hotel manages to give everything you expect in a larger hotel sets it apart from the other competitors. I felt comfortable because of the friendly service and staff and that is what makes a world of a difference. I would definitely go back to this hotel for my next stay Los Angeles and highly recommend it to others who are looking for an affordable and comfortable stay. read more
