    It's chilly up in here!

Starting with the staff, A+ CUSTOMER SERVICE. Room was clean, sheets did not smell like the previous tenant. Overall I will be back, don't waste you're hard earned money on drug infested Hotels.

This past year because our group was so large we were able to get a package deal that included cheaper parking and a simple continental breakfast. The breakfast was really helpful so that players and families could just go downstairs in the morning and eat before the games. The service for the most part was exceptional. Our organization loves to hang out in the lobby which gives everyone the chance to catch up and see how everyone did in their games. A person from the front desk even came around to make sure that we didn't need anything in our rooms while we were in the lobby. This was a first!!! Here's my only complaint. While hanging out at the pool we called several times to get towels at the pool and it took over an hour and when the towels came they were gone quickly and again we called several times to get more and again it took over an hour to get more towels. Beyond the pool towel issues our stay was amazing and we look forward to coming back here next year!

They even have Starbucks, Crystal Palace, and Five 55 bar and restaurant in the lobby so you won't get hungry and bored. I even love their interior and able to chill in the booths and tables with complimentary wifi. Even high school students know to go here to study. Lots of restrooms available on two floors. The rooms were clean, lotion and soap provided. I didn't like the body wash, shampoo and conditioner they had because they don't lather and I felt less clean than drugstore brands, so I preferred bringing your travel sized hair products and body wash. The shower flow was slow and there's no option to control it. I liked how the toilet has a bidet to clean your bottom; felt like I was in Japan for a while. If you need your room to be cleaned regularly, you must request room service yourself on the phone or at the front desk. All the concierge were friendly and attentive on providing services for us. Even the room service ladies were kind to provide clean towels, replace soaps, and an electric kettle to boil water. Make sure the mini fridge is on at the cooler setting by taking it out and setting the temperature at the rear, which was a pain in the butt. If you want to wash your clothes in the laundry room, you have to purchase your laundry detergent (preferred at Walgreens) and get tokens from the front desk. You'll be charged $5 laundry during checkout. I also got a chance to workout in the fitness room which was small, yet clean. Clean towels provided to wipe your sweat, complimentary earphones for your old iPhone/android, a water fountain to fill up your bottle, and sanitizing wipes for equipment. The pool and patio was nice to walk around and chill, but no one dared to swim in a 3 foot pool during spring, so I skipped that. Too bad there was no spa or sauna to relax since it's a 3-star hotel. Before my check out time, I took a chance to check out a local event happening in the ballroom. It was a SoCal Card Con where Pokémon and One Piece fans trade and purchase cards that can go over $1,000 for limited edition. Security was tight, but welcoming. I was able to befriend a few local card vendors as a Bay Area tourist lol. Overall, I would love to stay here when I visit Monterey Park. There's also a bus stop in front of Five 55 where you can go to LA and anywhere else with LA Metro. So convenient to travel and eat around.

My friends have been er been here, so I felt this was the best location especially since one of us is Chinese from Malaysia. It was nice because I was able to park at the Hilton honors spaces when available. At check in, Vincent was soft spoken, and courteous. He made sure my room was feather free as requested due to my asthma. Our room was ready when we arrived. Great since we were hungry, and we could drop off our luggage in the room before heading out. I always check round with my blacklight to see the cleanliness of a room. But the only reason I didn't give a five star this time was before I even checked with my blacklight, the curtains were open, and we saw dust caked on the dresser, lamp stand, and too of headboards. Unacceptable since two of my friends have allergies, and as an asthmatic I am allergic to three different dust mites. I called Vincent at the front desk and he immediately sent someone up. Now the train I have a four star and not a there is because of Linda from housekeeping. She said she understands because she has brothers who are asthmatic. When she saw how dusty the room was she also was appalled by the condition. Linda did a great job. Although we left a small to in the room for whoever will be cleaning next, we left something extra for Linda at the front desk. That being said the bathrooms were clean. Beddings clean but bed a little too hard for my liking. The other gals told me it was fine for them. We were going to try their dim sum restaurant downstairs, but we were pretty dim summed out, so we tried something different nearby.

Looks nice inside, the panel rooms were smaller, but accommodate the smaller attendee population too. Internet connection for the event was fine. Acoustics in the ballroom and panel rooms, along with AV set up was good. Lobby area and some just standard hotel backdrop were perfect for photos. I could've stayed at the Le Méridien in Arcadia, but I picked the Sheraton instead because of that feature. At check-in, I specifically asked again about the pool temperature, and staff assured me it was always kept between 80-85 degrees. To my surprise, the pool was absolutely not heated. When I called the front desk, they first said, "Oh yes, it should be" and "It's always 83 degrees." Once I explained the water was clearly cold, they changed the story to "We turn it off during certain hours," then immediately corrected themselves and said they were "having technical difficulties." At that point, I was already disappointed. Then I tried using the hotel room phone, which barely worked. The staff member kept saying, "I can't hear you," and then hung up without even attempting to follow up or figure out what the guest needed. Other issues: * WiFi was extremely slow and unreliable * TV streaming/WiFi barely worked * TV remote was terrible -- buttons had to be pressed hard and had a 5-second delay * Shower water never got hot enough Overall, this was a bad experience from start to finish. The hotel looks nice and has all the fancy bells and whistles, but the actual experience was frustrating and disappointing. To top it off, during checkout, nobody seemed to care about the issues I experienced. They just told me the total for the bill and moved on. Will not be coming back.

Our room faced the rear of the hotel overlooking the golf course and consisted of the beautiful lake. The room was spacious and clean, and fully equipped with things that make you feel like you're at home: plates, cups, bowls, utensils, + a full sized fridge. Bonus points because complimentary breakfast is offered daily. Hours of operation M-Fri are from 6am-9am. Weekend hours are from 7am-10am. This is absolutely THE BEST complimentary breakfast spread I have ever had the pleasure of taking part in. Granted, most places I've stayed @ doesn't offer this. Here you will find a waffle station with all of the toppings you could imagine, eggs, ham, sausage patties, assortment of cereals, yogurt, fruit cups, and fresh fruit. While I am not sure how great the options are for a vegetarian standpoint but I did notice meatless patties. My complaints: 1)The lighting within the room are positioned horribly. Whether you decide to use the restroom light or the ones located in the dining|kitchen area as a nightlight, they are both extremely bright making it difficult to sleep. My toddler and I struggled to sleep soundly due to us being sensitive sleepers. 2)Someone triggered the fire alarm during our stay. Walking down 6 flights of stairs with a toddler is already tough but adding in groups and groups of other patrons caused for more traffic than I was ready for. Once we made it back to the lobby we were told it was a false alarm. **insert EYE ROLLS emoji** 4 stars overall. Our stay was comfortable and parking was never an issue. Home2 Suites by Hilton LA Montebello comes recommended. I'd stay here again but would probably bring eye masks for myself and my toddler.

There are a couple of minor things that I feel are worth mentioning. 1. The breakfast areas requires you to walk around the pool, which because it was raining was awkward. Normally in California (it never rains in Southern California ; ), this would be good, so not a big deal. 2. There were folks several times at the pavilion in the back corner "partaking", and I could smell it, especially when I had to park next to it. "Do what you want, just don't involve me." 3. I pre-paid the room, which saved me a bit of money. The hotel was able to accommodate my need for a small fridge and a microwave (for Bella's food). Everything at the hotel is lovely. Pasadena is a true gem. I loved walking in the Oak Knoll neighborhood and enjoying the wonderful gardens on the Langham property. Talking with many passersby. Taking deep breaths... finally feeling like I could and DID relax. I visited the Tap Room and the Terrace twice because we enjoyed our experience so much. Something that is unique to this hotel -- is the overwhelming friendly disposition of every staff member we encountered. From Nathan (the guy that works on the ponds and pools), to Max (at the Terrace), to Abby & Francis (at the Tap Room)... to the front staff (forgot his name) that helped me (even locating me in the Tap Room when they needed me)... Honestly, I think all of the staff truly likes this place, and THIS shows with how they treat their guests. No ask is too much and even though I didn't need anything crazy... just making it reasonable to travel with a senior dog that gets homemade meatballs, it was really a nice feeling. I would do anything for my pup, but this trip was really for me. I think Bella was sad to leave... and that's always a good sign; if you've stayed too long you're listless and lethargic (even), but we left still smiling and beaming from our experience. I needed it. And, I got exactly what I wanted. Thanks a million, to the Langham! My one suggestion/critique (albeit small) -- is they need to make the amenity fees more clear upon booking the room. I thought all of that was taken care of (and I was surprised by the daily charges).

I genuinely do not understand the hype around the The Langham Huntington, Pasadena. The first time was Valentine's Day shortly after I gave birth to our third child. My husband took me to The Terrace for a simple lunch because we live walking distance and thought it would be an easy, relaxing outing. Instead, we got terrible service and shockingly bad food for a supposedly luxury hotel. Completely forgettable experience. Then we tried the Teddy Bear Tea a few years later with our kids. Again, awful. The food and tea were both mediocre at best, and the setup felt chaotic and lazy compared to a proper afternoon tea service. Instead of the elegant presentation you'd expect, everyone was handed messy pre-plated trays dumped onto the table, and getting tea refills felt nearly impossible because staff were nowhere to be found. Last spring we decided to give the property another shot through a ResortPass cabana day. While the pool itself was peaceful, service was practically nonexistent. We spent more time trying to flag someone down for food and drinks than actually relaxing. For the prices they charge, pool service should not feel like a scavenger hunt. Most recently, I booked a one-night staycation to spend some one-on-one time with my oldest daughter. Same exact issues all over again. The pool was packed and there appeared to be ONE server working the entire area. The room itself felt extremely dated, and the bathroom fixtures were rusty and not particularly clean. My daughter actually told me the hotel "felt haunted," which honestly summed up the entire atmosphere perfectly. What's especially frustrating is how heavily they market themselves as family-friendly with all these supposed kid amenities and "special touches." They advertise things like a kids passport/scavenger hunt experience, so my husband specifically noted it in the reservation ahead of time and even called afterward to confirm. Despite all of that, nobody seemed to know what we were talking about and nothing was prepared. It perfectly captures the overall experience at this hotel: lots of luxury branding and promises, but completely disorganized execution once you actually arrive. At this point, it feels like this hotel survives entirely on its reputation and location, not on actual hospitality or quality. Beautiful grounds can only carry a property so far. For the price point, the service, food, upkeep, and overall experience are consistently unacceptable.
