Do you love the pupusas? Do you love tacos? Well, this place excels in both, but you need to try the fusion -- putacos. A cheese pupusa used instead of a tortilla as the base, and it's loaded with all of the fixings. I ordered them for a party years ago, and most recently I tried their chorizo and shrimp ones for the first time. They were delicious and filling! FYI they're $6 each, but I think it balances out based on what you're getting. This is my first time they're in person since they moved. It used to be deeper into Landover... Right across from where my friend lives, actually. Now they are basically at the intersection of 450 and 410. Unless you look closely at the window, they are very easy to miss. When I went, the blinds were closed and they don't have a sign! Decide you order on has a few tables, and the other side has more with a pool table and bar. I don't know when the bar opens, but it looks like it would be fun. The chair is at the tables on that side look like they could use some updating. It's up to you whether you decide to dine in like I did, but you absolutely must try a putaco. DO IT. read more

This place is pretty unassuming outside and hard to find. It's located under the Pops Seafood sign. Inside, there's table seating and even a pool table. I ordered two pupusa tacos-one steak and one shrimp. They have a chicken and chorizo version as well. The pupusa tacos were not on the menu but they costed $6 each. It was between a 10-15 minute wait. Tacos and pupusas are two of my favorite things separately so I was excited to try them as one. The steak was flavorful on its own and was good in the taco. My only issue with the steak is there were some fatty pieces that were inedible. The shrimp was a little tough but still good. In my opinion, the steak taco was much better than the shrimp. I wish they came with a side of curtido because that would've really set everything off. I would go back to try more items. The food was tasty and there's a designated parking lot. The steak putaco was pretty good but you only get one with the order. I did not care for the chicharones, they should be crispier and the fried plantanes were good but should be served with something more interesting than mayonnaise. read more

I ordered a few items for delivery on a weeknight and the food tasted like I dined in. It was super hot so I could tell it was cooked to order but the best part about this experience was the flavor. This restaurant has some of the best pupusas I've ever had. Both the dough and frijoles were seasoned well and cooked to perfection, I'm so glad I ordered two frijoles con queso. A late night scroll on IG led me to try out this spot. What's crazy is that I didn't know it was there. Bruhhh, the PuTacos!! I had the steak and chicken PuTacos and they were both so flavorful. I was pleasantly surprised as my prior experiences at other spots, left me feeling underwhelmed when it comes to the meat. The well-seasoned steak and chicken, the extra flair of the pupusa, and the jalapeño green sauce with a nice little kick, definitely had me wishing I had room left to eat more. Since I was being greedy, I did order the shrimp quesadilla but I only ate a small portion of that since I really wanted to try the PuTacos. That was well-seasoned as well and guess what?! It was NOT greasy! However, I did save my quesadilla for later. I would definitely give this spot a try if you're in the area or looking for a new spot to try. The steak was fall apart tender and well seasoned. The base / gravy was more tomatoey than I've had in the past at other establishments but it was still very tasty. Food was amazing. My hubby and I are in the area for the Army/Navy game and we decided to try a new restaurant. The place did not disappoint! The food was amazing. I had the "Putaco" and some chicken enchiladas and it was sooo good I'll definitely come back. As soon as we got there we were greeted by the older lady who welcomed us very warmly. The waiter was very friendly and polite. The ambiance though could be better by separating the restaurant from the bar or at least to not hear the drunk men drinking watching the soccer games. Wow!!! I was worried as this was my first time eating from this establishment. Let me say that this place exceeded my expectations. The Angel's special plate was SEASONED to perfection. It's true that they don't speak English: if you call them and attempt to speak English on the phone, it is likely that they will hang up. (That's the only reason I've deducted a star; I think it's reasonable to expect that someone on staff be able to understand at least some English to handle phone inquiries and orders.) That said, the food is great, the prices are fair, the service is decent, and it's a pretty upbeat and welcoming atmosphere (even for outsiders). They have some of the best fajitas I've ever eaten. Disgusting hole-in-the-wall, roach-infested establishment. Waitresses were extremely rude and tried to force me to eat 2 entrees when I ordered one, using the "language barrier" as an excuse (but she spoke perfect english up to that point).......... Quaint little place. They didn't speak English but the food was delicious. The table had Mexican enchiladas, quesadillas and burritos and everyone loved what they had. The sauce on the enchiladas was the bomb!!! I'll be back for a another visit soon! read more
