She altered my dress for my granddaughters wedding. Was perfect! She hemmed it also and it was just where it should be. Highly recommend.

Bought a new wool vest size xl. I'm between a large and extra large It just didn't fit right or hang right. Had Angie take it in. Wow what a great job. Looks like it was made for me. After loosing weight I had to havs all my clothes taken in or buy new. I had Angie's take in all my dresses and suits and she took them all from a size 10 to an 8 and they all looked fabulous. Prices are good and her quality of work is all very good! Thank You Angies Alterations! read more

Fair, quick, and good quality. I only stopped in to get some pants hemmed and they were done in a week. I wouldn't plan on that amount of time for formal pieces though. I heard there was at least a 3 week wait due to homecomings and proms. I wouldn't hesitate to come here the next time I need alterations. read more

So my mother bought a coat for my daughter for Christmas this past year. The zipper needed to be completely replaced. She heard good things about this place so she tried it out being close by. She dropped the coat off and got a call a day early to pick up. The lady at the front took the coat and folded up and quickly put in the bag without showing her. My mom paid but when she got in the car she pulled it out of the bag to see the zipper was completely off. One side was far up and otherwise was correct. So she went back in. Both ladies she spoke with were VERY RUDE to her and told her to come back in the morning. When she got it she saw it was not that good of a job. I see myself but I do not personally do zippers however I do know proper stitching. This is the worse job I have ever seen and wasn't worth the cost. My mother will never use this place and I will make sure I tell the people I know to never use this place. I will be posting pics on Facebook and other social media sites I have. I do not know how you can stay open with doing such crappy work. It looks like you ran the coat through the machine and let it ride without doing it slow to make sure it all lined up. At that you used cotton thread which we all know with it being a children's coat one would put a stronger threading. The material is all bunched in areas and no stitch is straight. Poor service; half ass attitudes and no apology and no refund. If you want your alterations to look like a child did it then go here. It's very sad you couldn't do a better job. My daughter took her bridesmaid dress for alterations. The dress was ordered by the bridal shop a size too small. Every time she went for a fitting she had to wait because she was still sewing it. We picked up the dress this week and I noticed the buttons and the loops were off about an inch. I had to take the buttons off myself and move them. I noticed some of the sewing work was awful. I could have done better. The dress wasn't even steamed when we got it. I would not recommend her for any type of alterations. read more

Angie was very nice and did a wonderful job fitting our wedding clothes. It is very quiet in there and a little hard to find. It is in the back of the State Farm office. She is playing Christian music over the radio. It is definitely a no frills spit. For being the only person in northwest Indiana doing alterations she does a nice job. I went in for two fittings for my bridesmaid dress. Angie is very thorough and very nice, but when I picked up the dress and took it home she took too much in and I couldn't zip it up the last COUPLE inches and it was for an out of state wedding, too late to get it fixed!!! read more

Do not go here. I called and specifically explained the alteration I needed and they made an appointment for me. Upon coming to the grandmas creepy basement looking "shop", the seamstress came in and basically had the worst people skills I've ever seen. She just looked at me and said "that's going to be a big job and I don't get into reconstruction of things" there is a sign inside regarding them not doing reconstruction work, but did I speak to a deaf person on the phone? It was no secret what I was requesting, they are bad business and should've told me on the phone that they don't take work on like that. I wouldn't have been so mad if she was at least compassionate and gave a shit, she didn't even try to give a solution or alternative and her attitude pissed me off she didn't care whatsoever and then just walked out of the room, no emotion. Someone like that needs to work in a place where there's no people because she was the most odd person I've ever met with a rudeness to her that you want to feel sorry for her when you look at her, but you see she's just a mean lady that probably can't sew well so she basically sent me on my way, with no suggestion, no other outlet of help. So I would never recommend this place again. read more
