I used these guys once, and will never be back. I needed them to troubleshoot a sound on my Subaru. I thought I had a bad CV axel (common issue with Subaru's) but instead it appeared to be a heat shield on the wheel that was rubbing. Fair enough, easy fix. Instead, they chopped it off on the passenger side. About a day later, the noise was back. I crawled under the car and could see the drivers side was doing the same. I took a screwdriver and bent the shield out of the way and noise never returned. I'm just baffled that they didn't know how to fix the issue easily or without a less destructive way. Tells me they didn't test drive it or really diagnose the issue to begin with. read more

Hands down recommendations was this place Anglers Auto Service. I have to say, "No long waits here." They are friendly and helpful and they go the extra mile to make sure the customer is happy. There's free coffee, magazines, and tv to occupy your attentions during your short wait. I especially enjoyed my visit with Zack the front counter manager. He knows his stuff and he'll get you what your car needs. I have to say I was in and out in about 35 mins and that's because I was having them do a full maintenance check and tire rotation. We had a doctors appointment in Wenatchee. The car started making scraping noises enroute and was getting worse. Fortunately, we made it to the doctors clinic. We needed to get back home but I didn't want to drive 100 miles back (in the snow and ice) without first getting a mechanic to judge if the car was safe to drive. I called several repair shops and explained our dilemma but they all were too busy. I tried Anglers and after explaining our dilemma, they made space for me. After 20 minutes they had the problems fixed! Amazingly fast and talented. These days it's so hard to get that kind of service but Anglers stepped up and helped us. I highly recommend these folks. DO NOT GO HERE. They worked on my boyfriend's car and the job was completely unprofessionally done. The job was a heater core and we will see if it was actually done semi correctly in time. My boyfriend received his car with grease all over the front interior, broken plastic all over the place, screws nuts, bolts on the floor, the interior and dash not put back together completely, small metal plates that never made it back to their home. This place clearly doesn't care about the work they do for others. If you need a job done and want it done correctly, I highly recommend going elsewhere. Wenatchee does have several better options and this was a $1400 lesson learned. There is no justification or excuse for this kind of treatment to a vehicle that someone depends on. read more

Worst auto service I've ever experienced. I brought in a 05 passat with what seemed to be a blown head gasket. ( I'm from Skagit county) so it was a worse case scenario due I had my 10 month old daughter with me. Anyways all togeather it costed a little over $2200, no buggy. But when they said they repaired my vehicle I had a friend drive it over to anacortes. He said that he had to fill the coolant 4 or 5 times before I got it. Once I got it. It had a hell of a time starting no bottom end power and still not holding coolant. Thier excuse was it's going to have a hard time starting cause of the computer rebooting. Come to find out was a down right lie. The incompetent machanic couldnt cam it right. So I wanted my money back which I should have stood my ground but needles to say I'm out 2200 with a worse car than I brought it in for. Dont go to this guys they are peices of s***. read more

Angler's fixed my vehicle, but did not treat it well. They smeared grease in the interior, did not fully reinstall all of the car's components, and let a mouse in. My heater core went out on 06/05/20 as I drove to Wenatchee for a visit. Angler's was open on Saturday and I was thankful to have a shop open who could take the car. They quoted a price on Saturday and said it would be ready by Tuesday. The price was accurate, as was the deadline. For all of the above, I am very appreciative. The car did not return to me in good condition, however. I initially noticed that the dash trim was not properly installed, and that there were large grease stains on my gray headliner (see picture below) and on various dash components, as well as ground into the carpet. Those are all things that can be fixed, so I headed back to the house because I had to return to work. I left the car alone until Wednesday afternoon, when I had to return to my hometown. When I went to load the car--which had been sitting in the driveway with the windows up and doors closed--I found mouse droppings on the dash (see picture). I've never had mouse problems in this car before. As I looked closer I found a multitude of broken plastic dash paneling connectors on the floor. When I opened the center console I found the pocket missing (picture) and could see straight down into the innards of the car. I found the pocket in the glove box along with an assortment of nuts and bolts and clamps that presumably belonged on the engine side of the dash holding things together. The car came with a factory-installed ipod cable to connect to the sound system. It was still in good working order when I brought the vehicle to Angler's. When I got the car back, the ipod system was uninstalled and sitting in the glove box (picture). Returning to the a'fore mentioned mouse, he apparently took up residence in the vehicle because the mouse droppings had not been there the day before when I picked up the vehicle. In addition, I found a mouse-shredded Taco Bell Hot Sauce packet under the seat. During the drive home and shortly there after, it chewed through a box of instant oatmeal I'd brought as well as a beanie (picture), and a bag containing mouse traps and mouse bait that we had brought after noticing the droppings. I realize that this is a long review, but I think that it is important to list all of these things, because it describes my Angler's experience really well. It was death by a thousand cuts. I can deal with grease stains, so long as the car runs, and I can deal with a minimal amount of broken plastic connectors (those things are awful), but then those were combined with a mouse infestation and an incomplete reconstruction of my vehicle. The last is by far the most troubling, because now I'm second-guessing their work under the hood, and wondering if I'm going to run into additional problems down the road from parts coming loose because the were not properly installed. In the shops defense, I did not return the car to them for them to make it right. I had to get home and couldn't stick around another day to take it back. As it stands, I would highly recommend taking your vehicle elsewhere, unless you like incomplete work and pest infestations. Scott Customer # 17520 read more

These guys are awesome! A couple of my friends and I were out on a backcountry trip. My vehicle was an FJ cruiser and the other was an Xtera. During the trip, the Xtera had blown a flat and when we got back on paved roads his aliment got really thrown off. His steering wheel was crooked and his tire was showing a lot of negative camber. This caused him the squeal his tires at almost all turns on the road. So, we checked out Les Schwab to get an alignment, but they could not get us in on time, as we had to head back west the next day. to So, we decided that the next day we'd try a different place because this was towards closing time for most stores. The next morning we found this place on Yelp called them up and headed straight there right when they opened. They helped us with the Xtera and got it better then it was before. I think Mike was his name, but that dude is awesome. One of the nicest guys. I also had them check my FJ because the CV boots were spewing grease on the lower control arms. Mike got me in an told me that the boots were torn. He quoted me a reasonable offer and got us out. Overall, the experience was awesome. Only if I lived closer I would of got my FJ fixed there. We took our Ford Ranger in for a diagnose. We were told that it would be simple to diagnose, it is free to do the first hour and all he had to do is remove four bolts to do the diagnose. We took our truck down the night before so that they could diagnose and give us a call, when they had time no rush. At 1 pm the next day we called to find out if they had time to diagnose, we had to call them, because they had not called us. They SAID they had diagnosed it and told us what they thought the issues was. Come to find out, They do not even do the work that they diagnosed and referred us to someone else. When we came to pick up our truck they were not even nice. Doors were left unlocked, windows down, and the truck was parked in neutral without the emergency brake. Our problem was diagnosed in the rear end. We were being cautious and marked the 4 bolts the mechanic told us he would be removing to do the diagnosis. HE DIDN"T EVEN REMOVE THE BOLTS. Even though they gave us a diagnosis. He gave us the same diagnosis that he gave us in the parking lot the night we came by to find out if he had time to look at the truck. I will NEVER refer this Business to anyone, I will however tell all my friends. Total waste of our time. read more

We have a '97 Ford truck. It died suddenly as I was slowing at a light on the highway. I couldn't get it to start, so put it in neutral and rolled it off to the side. On hindsight, I may have panicked and tried to get it started without putting it in park first. I really don't recall. We had the truck towed to Anglers. We were told there was no oil in the truck and the engine was blown. The estimate to have the engine replaced was $5000. We asked it we could keep the truck there overnight while we decided what to do. I had checked the oil recently and there was plenty. It is an older truck and things happen...but it doesn't really seem to go through oil. A friend who is a diesel mechanic said he would never send anyone to Anglers and recommended getting a second opinion at Mid Valley. We had it towed there. They ran the truck for a while and drove it for 40 minutes. THE ENGINE IS FINE! It does not need to be replaced. I had been hearing a noise, which was explained when they informed us it has a small exhaust leak. I have been driving it for a month with no issues and have not had to add oil. I have no idea who the tech was at Anglers. We never spoke to him, only heard from a gal in the office. I don't know if the issue was with that particular tech or if this is how the whole place is run, but I will never go there again and will tell everyone I know not to go to Anglers. read more

First, I need to preface this review by saying I suffered a breakdown on Highway 97 which on a business trip more than 150miles from my home. I normally do all my own vehicle repairs and have a well equipped shop for that purpose but in this case, I had to have my truck towed to a shop to get it fixed and chose Anglers as they appeared to be a small enough shop to be flexible and to hopefully able to fix my truck quick enough for me to get home the next day, however this belief was misplaced. I am not saying this shop is incompetent, but they did not know that deeply discharged batteries require a manual charger to get them charged. Because of this I was told by them that I had to buy two new batteries which I did but with the suspicion that they were wrong so kept my old batteries which when I returned to my own shop I found were fine once I put them on my own charger with a manual setting. They should have known this and simply put a jump on my truck first to get enough charge in the batteries so their own charger could take over. This is not however the biggest issue I have with Angler's Automotive. The greatest issue I see with this shop are their ethics (or more rightly, the lack of them). When I informed them that I was not happy they made me buy two batteries I did not in fact need for almost $400, I was at first set upon with very nasty vitriol from them in our email exchanges. They wrote as if they were a junkyard dog looking to rip my throat out for "extorting" them when I said I reserved the right to write a review such as the one I am writing now. No admission, no apology, no conciliation, no trying to understand my position, only attacking my own character telling me that somehow I was the responsible party. While I did not back down to them, I did not rise to their bait and continued to press the matter as rationally and calmly as I could to try to get them to realize their mistake which they have yet to admit to. The only form of negotiating with me was to offer to take the batteries back for a refund only to pull that offer rapidly afterwards saying that my window to do so had closed. Throughout, I have only asked for an adjustment to the almost $600 bill to reflect the error they made. This they steadfastly have refused to discuss and finally having reached the point where I see no hope for resolution, I am using the only means left to me which is to tell others to treat all the 5star reviews posted about this shop with skepticism as I find it ironic that there are no middle ground reviews. Only others like me who came away from their experience with this bunch as being unsatisfactory, frustrating and ultimately costly. Are these other customers who claim to have had "perfect" service genuine? I am saying that I am quite doubtful. So if you are forced to choose a shop to take your vehicle to, be wise and don't choose these guys. They are mean spirited and to them the term "customer satisfaction" is not in their vocabulary. My sister and I had the unfortunate occurrence as to overheat while driving through Wenatchee last week. However, we had the very fortunate experience to find Ken at Anglers Auto. Not only did he diagnose the problem and because he was unable to fix it at his shop, being a warranty issue for Toyota, he told us what to do in order to make it back to Tacoma without overheating or what to do if it did. After all that he did not charge us and would not even take on offered tip. He also insisted that we can call him when we got home so that he knew we were safe. Our only regret is that he is not in our area to be our regular mechanic! read more

Drove up from Oregon for Labor day weekend. Woke up Saturday morning and the starter had gone out. Anglers was the only shop open and despite being short handed in the shop they were able to get the car right in and a couple hours later we were back on the road. I had my oil changed here. The price was very good, Ken was very nice and they even tightened up my A/C belt (which they didn't have to do). Nice job all around. I will definately be telling everyone to take their car here rather than other oil lube places where they charge anywhere from $30-$50+ dollars. My boyfriend took his van to this shop, he was very clear bringing it in that if they wouldn't be able to get the work done in the next couple days he would need to schedule with someone else as he is currently converting the van to live in. It took them 5 days and they were hostile and would give I accurate estimations of when it would be done. When he went and picked it up (spending over $900) they hadn't even fixed the problem he took it in for and one of the mechanics stole something out of the van! When he went back to talk to the mechanic (Zach) he was rude, hostile, and accusatory. It was a horrible experience. AND THERE WAS A MOUSE IN THE VAN WHEN HE GOT IT BACK THAT 100% CAME FROM THEM! We will be reporting them to the proper authorities. I urge everyone to read the bad reviews and, more importantly, the hostile accusatory responses of the owner of this joke of a business. read more

I had a check engine light come on in my son's truck. Stopped in and they said they would check on it and let me know. 30 minutes later they called to say it was the throttle assembly. They would try to clean it and replace the gasket instead of replacing the entire unit. Three hours later they called to say they were successful cleaning the unit. I've had a few not bad experiences here, but they were spoiled by some very bad ones. I took my car in as the front left tire seemed to have an issue. They told me it was my wheel bearing and quoted me at $250. I got the car back and it still had the issue, so I took it there again. First they told me that I also needed a new right wheel bearing and struts, but they didn't say those were the cause of the problem. They looked at it for several more hours over the course of several different appointments and were apparently unable to find the problem. I got the feeling of being jerked around a lot by them, like they weren't sure what they were doing. I decided to get a second opinion at Les Schwab. The people there told me the right wheel bearing was causing that problem. They quoted me $200 for a new one and did it that day. The problem was fixed after months of dealing with it. read more

After dropping off my car I "spent" a total of 15 minutes on hold over two phone calls and never got any service (plus one call where no one ever picked up). And I "spent" $110 on an oil change, wiper blades and battery terminal scrub. What a joke. Never again fellas. Enjoy the extra $50 you jacked me on beers and fries at The Igloo Tavern. Feel so ripped off and am never going back and I hope this never happens to anyone else. The thing is that I'm not just a stupid pretty girl, I just didn't have the time to fix it myself. I read good reviews about this place so I figured I would get treated right, however after leaving my car there for a whole day so they could figure out what the problem was I spent $600 and just under a week later, guess what, my car was doing the same thing it did before. I took it back and had to leave it for another almost full day to get it checked out, they said it was something different. I took it to another mechanic and it took him 10 minutes to tell me what was wrong AND got the parts for less than half the price!!! I couldn't get it fixed for a few more days due to my busy schedule so he tells me he can do a temporary fix that'll last for a few days till I can get in..... Hmm sounds familiar to what happened to me at Anglers, so what did they fix for my $600??? RIP OFF!!!! I will never ever ever ever go back or recommend them to anyone!
