I'm very disappointed in the work done on my vanagon. First of all, the mechanic (don't know his name) told us the engine rebuild would be done in a month. The van was finally done after 4 months, and it was clear that it wasn't being worked on efficiently. It was super disappointing because we were planning on taking it on our honeymoon which we weren't able to do. And now, lo and behold, it's still not up and running. Mechanic decided not to fix the starter, so we're stuck with more work to be done on the engine. Another thing is the shop doesn't have a receptionist, so you have to call a couple times to reach the mechanic who will be annoyed you're calling since he had to stop working to answer the phone. He doesn't call with updates either. He also charged us 1000 over the agreed upon price. I'm sure pandemic times have made waiting on parts a more lengthy process, but the fact that we had no idea what was going on and had to call sometimes 8 times to reach someone is completely unprofessional. My advice is to go somewhere else for foreign car work. read more

I had an appointment to get my car worked on. 4 days after a big snow storm, the only entrance to their shop was through a non plowed back ally. I called the shop to confirm this was safe to drive through and they said yes, they just had another car drive through. I got half way to the shop through the ally and got stuck. The 2 guys came and shoveled a couple of scoops of snow and then walked off. I was stuck for over an hour I had to call other people to help push and dig me out of the deep snow. I called them to inform them that "I was able to get out, not that they cared".....and shared a few other choice words with them. And all they did was hang up on me. This place is a travesty.... He lies, overcharges and screws up constantly... he is a rip-off.... he doesn't pay L&I, SS for employees, taxes, personal or business, yet he charges the customer taxes that he pockets, and has for 15 years.... this place needs to be condemned and the owner needs to be held accountable... When this place came in highly recommended for our Mercedes, I was kind of skeptical. I have never known anything about this place except driving by. Curbside appeal does nothing for this business but once we met and had them work on our car, we were completely sold. They were completely honest (which is already a step up from 90% of all other repair shops) about what they could and couldn't do, there were no hidden fees or attempts at trying to sucker us in for repairs that don't need done. We will continue to have them work on our car for whatever it may need done in the future, no hesitation whatsoever! read more

I've been working with Continental for a few years now. They've handled service on my 93 Mercedes E300 with small and larger repairs and more recently with my 2000 VW Golf. I am always pleasantly surprised with their level of competence and the reasonable pricing. I just got through working with them on my Golf. Someone stole my one and only key last weekend and so anyone who owns a newer VW can sympathize with what that means. Had to order keys from Carter VW in Seattle and then discovered that Continental has the ability to match the keys to the car (not a typical capability). They saved me from having to tow my car to Seattle to have this done and the service itself was way cheaper to boot. At the end of the day the cherry on top is that they are great guys who obviously love cars and are fun to work with. Don't even hesitate. Two thumbs up! read more

I was visiting Wenatchee on business recently. While there, my Jaguar XJ8 broke down. Since there isn't a Jag dealer in the area, I had visions of the astronomical towing bill to haul it from Wenatchee to the nearest dealer near Seattle. I called a local foreign auto parts store and explained my predicament. I asked them "if you were in my shoes, who would you trust to take care of your car and do the repair properly?". He didn't even hesitate "call Jim over at Continental Auto Repair". I had the car towed over to Continental the next morning. Naturally, I was very concerned that they would take care of my beautiful XJ8 Vanden Plas, and I admit that I was briefly concerned when I saw their facility. I was expecting to get hit pretty hard - here I was, broken down foreign-made luxury car, out of town, etc. AND a business-driven deadline to have the repair done so I could head back to Seattle within two days. Not exactly a sweet spot to be in with any car, but when it's a Jag, you expect to get nailed a bit. I can't even begin to express how stunned I was when Jim phoned me a few hours later saying that the repair was finished and that the total cost was under $100!!! I just picked it up and it drives like new. Obviously, a less scrupulous shop could have caused me some real pain in the pocket book - I know the Jag dealer would have. But not Jim and his guys. That means a lot - far more than a Yelp review can ever convey. So, five stars? If there were twenty stars possible, that's what I'd rate Continental Auto Repair & Service. These guys are honest, competent and compassionate. Jim understood my plight and he did his best to help. You just don't see that very often. I would recommend these guys very highly - they're the BEST. read more

I am from Tacoma and ended up in Wenatchee with a problem with my Mercedes E320 CDI.. It completely lost power going up hills. I looked online and found this repair shop and just stopped by. He took the time to hook a diagnostic scanner up to my car and then took it for a test drive and gave me his opinion about what was wrong with it along with some tricks to keepit running on the way home. It worked and I'm home, and he charged me nothing for his time. This was truly a gift. Thank you. Peace of mind is worth a lot. read more

This is an exceptional repair shop. They recently repaired the cooling system in my 325 ci BMW and did it in record time and under budget.
