Hang in for second paragraph-its where the magic is! It is my pleasure to write a great review for MVA. I did some research for an honest mechanic about 15 months ago, and had them do a major 102K service on my Acura MDX. They were professional, timely, and courteous-dropping me off at home and picking me up when it was done. If you are not doing your own work, then there is always some concern over whether everything is being done according to the best practices. I was very satisfied. Fast forward, and I came in for a yearly oil change. When I picked it up, I was told the vehicle needed a valve adjustment-a significant expense. I pointed out that this was supposed to be included in a 102K service. I said that I remembered talking about this last year, and was pretty sure they already did it, even though it did not show up as a line item on the 2023 invoice. They offered me a discount, but I felt like it was close to a bait and switch. Good price on the 102K job, but, "Oops we didn't do a major piece of it". I decided to contact the owner about the conundrum, and included a copy of several lists of just what is included at 102k (valve adjustment #1 on the list). I got a call back SUPER FAST! "Please bring your Acura in and we will take care of it." no argument, No stress JUST 100% PURE INTEGRITY. Most automobile projects are blind items. I am only selecting one start because Google makes you select at least one. I took my daughter's 2006 Subaru in to MidValley a couple months ago because it was over heating a bit and I knew that Subarus are known for head gasket issues. I made that clear that I was aware of that when we dropped it off. They took at look at it and told me the water pump was leaking and they needed to do the timing belt at the same time. I was told the head gasket was seeping not leaking and was assured it was not the cause of the overheating. In fact- Danny told me ' your daughter will get another 60-70k miles out of this car it's in great shape.' (That was about a 1850$ bill)While I know I could get a second opinion, I did not due to the time crunch, busy schedules and the reviews for the shop looked excellent. Anyways, a few weeks later the car goes haywire and I determined that the alternator had gone out. I towed the vehicle to the shop and they replaced the alternator. When I was given the quote for repair it was simply that. I went down paid the 760$ and left. After I got home, I saw a diagnosing fee of 160$ which Danny had not informed me about! It seems odd to charge a person 160 for diagnosing when I told them what the problem was in the first place. I shrugged it off at that time, tho I was frustrated and moved on with life and thought lesson learned do not swipe a card until you have reviewed the bill in entirety. A couple weeks later, the car is overheating AGAIN! I had it towed yet again to the shop and had them look at it. Thinking make the water pump was faulty and it would be covered under the warranty from the first visit to the shop. WRONG! I get a call from Danny telling me that it is the head gasket and they verified that by doing a combustion test. He quoted me around 4K to repair the car and he said ever so happily you will get a new water pump and timing belt included in the repair. What a deal since I just paid you $1850 for the ones that are on the car now. I decided to take the weekend to think about it since I know the gasket is a couple hundred dollars, labor is about half a day, and the head may or may not need to go to the machine shop. All in all 4K is wild! Anyways, after reviewing all the docs I had from all the times I took my daughter's car to the shop I realized that this was the first combustion test done which is odd since the first time I took it there my number 1 concern was the head gasket!! They did not complete that test the first time, but I'm guessing he knew that would ensure that I would be back. I called Danny on the following Monday and spoke to him about why the test was not done the first time...when he finally stopped taking over me and interrupting me, (my guess because I caught him in screwing me over from the get go)..I was able to say, so my daughters car won't get that 60-70k miles that you assured me of after the first time you had her car! And of course, I also found out he is the manager, so I am not going to get anywhere. He was trying to say they did the combustion test the first visit, but this is not the case there was no mention on the phone or on the paperwork of that. I am extremely disgusted by the way this was handled and that I was lied to a couple of times and the fact that I spent 2600$ to have a car that does not run. I am not impressed with Danny at all. Here is my suggestion to him- if you're caught screwing someone over, don't talk over them and keep telling lies, just take accountability and find a way to make it right for the customer one way or another! After all, customers are the ones who essentially write your paychecks! read more

I had my first work done at Midvalley Automotive in 2019 and have been there a total of 4 times. These people are good and honest. I don't look for the cheapest place to get my work done but I do want to mention that I was told that the bill would be $200.00 the first time I was there. When I picked up my car the bill was only $138.00 because they said it didn't take as much as they thought. I'm not aware of many shops that will do that. The 4 times there I knew how much it would be even before the work was done. They didn't try to talk me into doing more than I wanted but I asked what they recommended. I was referred to mid Valley by a transmission specialist that I respect and have used in the past. I took my Miata to mid Valley to have them work on the cruise control. They spent time without success. It was an aftermarket product. I was pleased when I picked it up and was told there was no charge since they were on able to I fixed it. Really pleased with the level of service and communication. I recently had my vehicle towed there with an electrical short that was very intermittent. They found the issue, or at the least felt that they have found the issue. Where I am most impressed is with the level of communication and the want to right for me, the customer. The price was reasonable and the communication very honest. They did let me know that they were confident that the issue was resolved but not 100% and lead me where to look if I had issues down the road. And again, reasonable costs. When my '97 Ford truck died suddenly on the highway, we had it towed to Anglers. We were told that it had no oil and the engine was blown. The estimate to replace it was $5000. A friend who is a diesel mechanic told us not to trust them and to get a second opinion at Midvalley. They ran it, drove it, ran diagnostics. The engine is fine! There is a small exhaust leak, which explains the noise I was hearing. I have been driving it for a month without any problems. I am so thankful to the guys at Midvalley! Mid Valley automotive is a SCAM! I am an older woman, with a very high education. I have experience in customer service and have worked with the public for 40+ years. I took my car into Mid Valley automotive, through a recommendation, to get an alignment done on my car. I have had NO problems with my car, and have maintained it regularly since I bought it. When I took my car in, the "mechanic" told me that not only did I need an alignment done, but other issues needed to be fixed also. He told me it was "critical" that these items be fixed for the safety of myself and others. I reluctantly agreed, since I was never told before that there were any other issues besides my car needing an alignment, and they spent hours "fixing" my car. "Fixing" was the last thing they did. They BROKE my car! After I paid over $200 for the "services," I drove home. While driving, I noticed that my car was not driving the same as it had. Later that week, I took my car into a dealership for the scheduled oil change, and was flabbergasted and in shock with what I learned. The dealership MANAGER brought me back to my car and showed me where "someone" (mid valley automotive) BROKE pieces and did NOT properly align my car!! The dealership manager wrote down EVERYTHING that he saw that the mid Valley automotive had done. I drove to mid Valley automotive immediately and asked to speak to the manager. The manager was SO RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, and ARROGANT! After arguing with me about what HIS men had done to my car, and showing him the proof from another mechanic, he said he had to "put my car on the rack to see for himself." I agreed; that sounded right to me for him to see with his own eyes the damage that was caused, but what I witnessed when he put it on the rack blew my mind away. I WATCHED, in astonishment, the mid Valley automotive manager take a crow bar and BEAT THE INSIDE OF MY WHEEL, break pieces off of my axle, and then DROP my car off of the rack. I didn't know what to do, I was in so much shock that I just stood there. The manager then comes inside, THROWS my keys and my money at me and says "there's your stupid money back!" Before walking away. I HAVE NEVER, EVER been treated in a way that I was at mid Valley automotive in my whole life! This company tries to take advantage of women, and convinces people that work needs to be done on their car that DOES NOT need to be done. They suck people out of their money and don't even do the work they say they're doing! This company needs to be SHUT DOWN and investigated for FRAUD AND THEFT!!
