It is also a wonderful spot to come and just enjoy the beautiful view of the lake and all the surrounding areas. You can see Anchor Bay you can see Mac and Rays you can see all the way over to Harsens Island on a clear day. In the wintertime the ice fisherman love the spots on the bay because they can catch a multitude of fish from perch to walleye I've even heard it said a muskie or two have been caught right in these Waters. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources has put a lot of time energy and money into this spot it's a shame more people don't come out and truly enjoy the peace of mind you get just by looking out into the vast view of Anchor Bay. If you're ever in the area make sure you stop by I think you'll enjoy it.

This site is included in the recreation pass that can be purchased when renewing your license plate for a very reasonable fee. I launch a 26 foot boat with plenty of room in length and draft.

The breeze and the water made it very comfortable even on the decks enjoying the sun. We boarded at the Jefferson Beach Marina in St. Claire Shores. The Ovation yacht is three levels of accommodations for 300 people. The event was perfect with a DJ on the top level with an open bar. The second level was the food, lounge areas, photo booth and open bar. The third level was the live band and more food. It was a beautiful day to enjoy the waterways and views of the boats plus the shorelines of both countries. A trip down the Detroit River is such a pretty sight. Couple of things I noticed on my detour, lots of families have patio furniture or hang out areas on the grass or in the parking spot near their well. There is a pool (or two) and the bathhouse is updated and clean. Driving around, I thought this looked like a great place to hang out and I bet people have a lot of fun. Don't get me wrong it's not the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club no pools no parks no games just boats.
