An Unforgettable Evening On The Ovation Yacht! The Other Evening, My Wife And I Were Lucky Enough To Be Invited By Incredible Friends For A Themed Night Aboard The Ovation Yacht--Courtesy Of Infinity And Ovation Yacht Charters--And Let Me Tell You, It Was Straight Out Of The Great Gatsby! From The Moment We Stepped Aboard, We Were Blown Away. This Ship Is Absolutely Stunning--Elegant, Spacious, And Soaked In Style. The Food? Phenomenal. The Weather? Perfect. The Music? Next-Level. With Pro DJs Spinning Up Top And The Kufflinks Three-Piece Band Serenading The Main Level, The Vibes Were Immaculate. The Drinks Were Flowing, The Company Was Amazing, And We Even Got To Spend Time With The Owner, Steve--Who Is Every Bit As Awesome As The Yacht Itself. We Had So Much Fun, We Didn't Want The Night To End. Can't Wait To Do This Again--Already Counting Down The Days!

I recently attended a wedding on a yacht and it was a wonderful experience! The crew was delightful. Every person was professional, well-dressed, patient and kind. I appreciated the friendliness with all the servers and bartenders. The bathrooms were clean (and I'm guessing it the was the bride that placed the supplies in there but there was Dramamine and I was grateful!) I appreciated the multiple staircases and bars. The ride was mostly smooth. The only time I really felt it was while dancing and it wasn't a big deal at all. The food was delicious! So many options of appetizers and hors d'oeuvres, prior to the meal with multiple stations. My only critique is that I wish they had a salad option at both the beef and the chicken options, instead of just one. Not a huge inconvenience though. Servers did a great job of clearing emptying plates and glasses throughout the time aboard. I liked that we remained on time (we left when they said we would and got back when we were supposed to), and were able to stay onboard 30 minutes after docking. It was a pleasurable experience. I hope to have the opportunity to go again someday!

Attended a wedding aboard the Ovation Yacht this past August and it was the BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! Frankly, everyone should have their wedding on a yacht, it's so much fun!! My friends tied the knot on land right at the marina - the ceremony took literally 5 minutes and then we were boarding the boat! The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, pointing out gaps and spots we needed to step over for our safety. Ovation Yacht had 3 levels to it: the first level was the main banquet room where dinner was served, the bridal party had a giant table at the bow of the boat, which was surrounded by glass windows all around and above, so it was perfectly lit and magical! There's doors on either side of the bow to exit the enclosed banquet room area to the outside area where you can do your Titanic posing at the very tip of the yacht and get the best uninterrupted view of where the boat is heading! The banquet room was a ton of hemisphere tables (against the walls) or fully circular tables situated throughout the room with different food stations throughout. All the food was delicious and loved the variety you could get - pasta, chicken, beef - all different food stations. I'm unsure of whether or not this food was provided by the company or a separate vendor coming aboard. There were also very nice, even if a bit small - which is to be expected given that we're on a boat - bathrooms in the back, stern-side of the boat. The second level was where one of the bars was, with half the floor indoors and half outdoors. There was a staircase from the first to second floor from both the bow (indoor) and stern (outdoor) of the boat, which divided up traffic nicely. The bow was where the bar was situated, so blocked the view on the second floor, which was fine because there was never a bad view on the boat! They served snacky bits on this floor, along with the slices of the wedding cake once that was cut into. This is where some private rooms were on the boat for bridal/groom suites and the like and then the back half of the second floor was outdoor but covered awning with metal tables & chairs all around for people to sit at, along with the staircase on both the starboard and port sides up to the third and final floor! The third level was all outdoors, with the front half of it being shaded with an awning and the back half being completely exposed to the elements! Thankfully it was a beautiful weather day, bright and sunny, without being too hot even in August given that we were cruising up and down the river! There was another bar on this level (perhaps the least trafficked given its further distance) and was at the bow of the boat again under the awning. Further in front of the bar was where the crew was operating the boat from, which was completely enclosed as well. You were able to walk around to both sides of the bar, past it a bit, to get that high vantage point of what we were seeing ahead and what a beautiful view it was! The back half of the third level was open and had a few small metal tables/chairs around and a few high top tables as well to stand around, but for the most part this space was open because it was the DANCE FLOOR! There is nothing quite like getting to boogie down to the music while you're swaying a little bit this way and that on the third floor of the yacht! SO FUN! Overall, this was just absolutely delightful! The trip was so smooth and I believe we spent about four hours on the boat which departed from the marina at Saint Clair Shores and went all the way down to Detroit! The turnaround was just past the Ambassador Bridge, which meant we got to go under the bridge - TWICE - and that was truly incredible! The bride and groom had their first dance while going under the bridge and it made for some of the most spectacular photos! I do wish we could've gone down just a little further past the bridge rather than immediately turning around after we had barely cleared it just to be able to spend more time in that area, but ultimately I'm very pleased with the route they took! Parking at the marina was a breeze! I know some mentioned that earlier in the day as they were arriving, the gate to the marina wasn't open and people had to get out of their cars and walk up to the guard shack to ask them to open the gate, so that was a bit inconvenient. By the time I arrived 10-15 minutes before the wedding ceremony was set to begin, it was open and I was able to drive all the way to where I needed to be with no issue. If you're looking to valet with Infinity and Ovation Yacht Charters, you have to drive all the way to the front, which means driving by all the spots yourself. Since I was comfortable and able to hoof it a bit and saw some available spots further back in the lot, I just pulled into an available parking spot instead of driving all the way up to the valet, but that is an option and nice service they provide! All in all, we had a great time! Thanks Infinity and Ovation Yacht Charters!

Wedding ceremony on the water followed by a reception on the yacht. An amazing experience - I hope experiential weddings catch on! Food options were bountiful - 3 floors of food, fun, drinking & dancing.

i had the pleasure of decorating the Ovation last weekend . The Ovation is just a beautiful yacht but we were able to transform it in to a Magical place. Thankful with Alex ( manager) for all His help! Attached you can find pictures of the Ovation decorated by Unforgettable Touch!

I had a work event on here a few months ago. It was fantastic! The views, the yacht, the food and staff were great! I went on another cruise last night and again, everything was really good. I highly recommend this yacht for outings and events.

One thing I can say is that it is amazing! My husband and I made a reservation online for an igloo. We were greeted and taken to our igloo. It was very nice, we ordered some beverages and an appetizer to start. We got the Arincini to start and oooooohhh myyyy goodness, please get it! It was so yummy, the oooy gooey ness of the rice and mozzarella was exquisite, they also served it with marinara meat sauce! Great combination! The lamb chops were super tender and marinated to perfection. The mashed potatoes were also a hit for us, they use fresh potatoes and whipped it enough to be the perfect amount of creaminess. My hubby bear got the surf and turf, that was exceptional, the lobster and butter just melt in your mouth & the steak was cooked perfectly (medium rare) ;) the only thing was we wished his dish had more meat haha because who wouldn't want more of that yummy goodness. It is a bit pricey but well worth it. Everyone there was super attentive and sweet. One thing that we were a little bummed about was the igloo was a bit cold my toes and fingers were pretty cold. They have a small heater in there but I would advise you to bundle up but the food and service makes up for it all!! Bon appétit!

There were a lot of spider webs on the outside of the windows due to being so close to the lake. If you don't like bugs, I don't recommend this venue! I was just interested in the historical marker and the building itself. Unfortunately, we did not have an opportunity to walk the grounds around the building to view the lake as a keen eye can see across to Canada from here. The marker reads, "Russell A. Alger, Jr., (1873-1930) son of Michigan's Governor Russell Alger, built this Italian Renaissance style mansion in 1910. Alger was one of the founders of the Packard Motor Car Company, Charles A. Platt of New York designed this elaborate structure, and Ellen Shipman of New York landscaped the grounds. The home, situated on Lake St. Clair, was referred to as "The Moorings." Alger lived here until his death in 1930. From 1936 to 1948, the house was used by the Detroit Institute of Arts as a branch museum. In 1949 it was deeded to the Grosse Pointe War Memorial Association in memory of those who served and died in our nation's wars and for facilitating the educational, cultural and civic needs of the community." It also mentions that it was erected in 1983 by the Michigan History Division. Russell A. Alger, Sr. was a Civil War general who served as the 20th Governor of Michigan from 1885 to 1887, US Senator and eventually, US Secretary of War under President William McKinley from 1897 to 1899. He was replaced during the Spanish-American War. The original home is still here and has had an auditorium added in 1962 and art wings added in 1977 and 1993. The original home building was donated by the Alger family to the Grosse Pointe War Memorial Association in 1949 and is an event venue. I'd like very much for someone to invite me to a wedding here!
