We found Caroline's at the one stop shop hop a few years ago and have been wanting to visit her store. We were not disappointed. I do not think I could say one bad, negative thing. Everyone was so friendly. So helpful. My friend was picking fabrics for a small wall hanging. This is her first foray into civil war, reproduction fabrics. Caroline was so enthusiastic, it was inspiring to watch. She explained what she was thinking and looking for in her color choices. I bought three kits. I never, ever buy kits. The fun is choosing fabrics, right? But her color sense is beyond belief. I can't wait to get home and start sewing ! I can't wait to go back. Please visit. The private lot but it's basically a large room filled with dusty products that haven't been purchased and probably never will due to the age of the item. Very Amish oriented and for the people that don't live in that way the items are of zero use. This isn't a grocery store. They sell fabric and farm equipment along with kitchen wares. Lots of sewing supplies and such things along the lines of that. If there is a specific item like that you're looking for the. This would be the place. I also found the employees to be unfriendly and judgy because I wasn't Amish. Or at least that's how I felt. I wouldn't go back but it id locally owned so I would support it if I had something there I needed.

The newly-built store opened in April 2025 and is a combination fabric store and Amish general store. The aisles are wide, the lighting is excellent, the inventory is updated and very well organized, the prices are very good, the store is spotlessly clean, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The fabric section has an expanded selection of quilting fabrics. Cash or checks only.

I have no sewing experience at all so I was looking for a quilt that was already made. The quilt I was interested in only had a sample on display and was not for sale. The shop was only selling the kit. However, when I asked the owner if I could purchase the sample, she said YES!! I was ecstatic!!! My husband spotted an "Old Guys Rule" (his favorite t-shirt sentiment) quilt hanging on display and located the kit. I had never purchased a quilt kit, but he talked me into it. Fast forward to August this year. Due to shelter-in-place orders, I completed enough of my UFOs to start a new project. My husband has been anxious for "Old Guys Rule" to put it in the RV. Unfortunately, when I started cutting for it, I discovered that I was short 2 fabrics. (just needed inches more). I contacted the shop and owner, Susie, responded the next day. They no longer had either fabric in stock, but she did an exhaustive search of the neighboring quilt shops and found one of the fabrics I need. As it turns out she was not able to locate fabric to match my background, so she replaced the whole background fabric for me! I highly recommend this shop, not only do they have beautiful fabric and quilts, but great customer service.
