We came in for my birthday without any reservations. This place has an amazing cozy ambiance, and the staff was really friendly. Our waiter, Peter, was great, and later by Mr. Costa who greeted us and to check on how everything was going. I can't begin to say how nice everyone was! As busy as London was, it was nice to find a spot so warm and welcoming. Everyone was kind and friendly! Peter was very professional and made sure to ask if we had any allergies before we ordered. I started off with a filet mignon, which came very quickly and tasted mouthwatering. To top off the meal, we had a wonderful dessert: cheesecake and ice cream. The amount of food was just right for the price. I would highly recommend Angus Steakhouse. If you're going for an evening meal, you will not be disappointed. If you are looking for a great meal, excellent customer service, and a fair price, come to Angus Steakhouse before the sun sets.

Beautiful interior and views

The food was delicious. Colin provided great service! We had window seating and had a great time people watching, as people made their way to and from Paddington Station. I had the English Breakfast and coffee, and it was awesome. My Daughter enjoyed the steak and eggs and strawberry milkshake. My Wife had avocado toast. This place is a classic and I would highly recommend it.

Full English Breakfast

We went for breakfast here and loved it. The Turkish eggs were delicious and had a nice flavor I loved the bread that came with it. We also ordered the Full English breakfast and the Cumberland sausage was tasty. Each time we went we had attentive service, and were seated right away.

I am basing my review as a former experienced bartender and server for 8 years. It saddens me to walk into an establishment and find our server not take pride in the restaurant he represents or customers who walk into the door. Our server was polite and courteous, but took 20 minutes for our drinks, and proceeded to take everyone's else's order before ours. In my book unacceptable and we waited 45 minutes to order. Finally received are meals very unsatisfactory. It doesn't matter if you are a new server or bartender you do not belong to the on the floor must improve on their training. Unfortunately, we will not be back.

New York steak

Great location across from Paddington station. Price is decent. Only problem is they ran out of Angus steak so I settled for the New York. It was cooked medium and was not bad. The salad that came with was decent, just greens. The garden salad with goat cheese was fairly fresh. Friend got the roast chicken but said Swiss Chalet was better. Great service though!

Odd seating in the basement dining area.

Way overpriced for the quality, and you are likely to eat in the basement. I did have issues with my meal. The steak was a good cut of meat, but I ordered medium rare and it was closer to Blue (will post pic). Above that, I found a hair in the mushrooms. I notified the waiter, and he did very well apologizing and did take the mushrooms (and a £3.50 water) off the bill. I tried to push through on the steak, but left half of it there.

Stopped in after a long hot day walking around London. We were looking for somewhere with air conditioning and drinks that was open late night, that was near our hotel. We ordered ribs and the Mexican app to share, several rounds of drinks, and some desserts. Everything was fantastic and our server Jacob was very friendly and put up with all our requests and shenanigans.

They offer a full English Breakfast from 10 to noon. I sat for an hour after ordering and never received my food.

The basement has a bar, lounge and restaurant. It was a little noisy. But we could still talk. The roasted scallops were cooked perfectly. The green sauce was tasty. I love the presentation. The Bill Marrow was also good. It was very rich. There were two kinds of Sunday roast a sirloin and a rump. Three of us had the rump roast dinner and three had the sirloin roast dinner. It was hard to tell the difference. All the dinners came with roasted potatoes greens and of course, Yorkshire pudding. It was all delicious. I have to say my favorite part is always the Yorkshire pudding. I also have a green salad, which is basically just lettuce with a light dressing. It was very fresh. We were too full for dessert. The service was excellent. We were seated right away and given water. In the UK, you can order sparkling, still or tap. Sparkling and still come with a charge. Tap is usually free. Our server was attentive without hovering. It's a good idea to make reservations at Hawksmoor especially for the Sunday roast. We got there at three by the time we left around 4:30 some of the roasts were already sold out. Just a note: Sunday roost is usually a late lunch not a dinner. It's good to go between two and four especially if you don't have a reservation.

A really great way to try their variety of meats. First, the portion was absolutely huge - I definitely appreciated how much vegetables there were, the roasted brussels and carrots were delicious. Sides were all good - including the roasted potatoes and yorkshire pudding. The star was the meat of course, my favorite ended up being the lamb which was super tender and flavorful. Loved the crispy pork rind that comes with the pork roast slices and the gravy and sauces on the side really rounded out the meal, added a ton of flavor and made it fun to try the different sauces with the variety of meats. Service was great and everything came out really quickly! Definitely would recommend Blacklock to try the famous Sunday roast in London, you can't go wrong here!

The gravy was so delicious and paired well with the beef and vegetables. Having visited several of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants before--including Bread Street Kitchen,…read moreGordon Ramsay Burger, and Hell's Kitchen--I came into Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill in Mayfair with fairly high expectations. Thankfully, it lived up to them. One thing that immediately stood out was how intimate the restaurant is. It's probably one of the smallest Gordon Ramsay venues I've visited, which gives it a cozy atmosphere but also makes for a different experience compared to some of his larger restaurants. The service was memorable, although not in the way I expected. When we sat down, I already knew the Beef Wellington was the signature dish and was prepared for the advertised 45-minute wait, but I wasn't quite sure what else to order. Our waiter enthusiastically declared, "I've got this," started saluting us, and proceeded to recommend--and seemingly order--the Beef Wellington, T-bone steak, and steak tartare before fully confirming what we wanted. We had to flag him back down and explain that we probably didn't need an all-meat feast. After some adjustments, we swapped the T-bone and steak tartare for gnocchi, Caesar salad, and green beans. In the end, those changes turned out to be the right call. The Beef Wellington was everything it should be--perfectly cooked, rich, and worth the wait. The green beans with pine nuts were unexpectedly one of the highlights of the meal, packed with flavor and executed beautifully. The gnocchi was also excellent, with a great texture and comforting richness. By the end of the meal, everyone at our table agreed that this was the best meal we had during our time in London. That's saying a lot considering the city's incredible dining scene. My only real complaint is the restroom situation. The bathroom is tucked behind what feels like a hidden doorway, and there are very few signs directing you there. Overall, Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill delivered exactly what I was hoping for: outstanding food, memorable service, and a meal that stood out among everything else we ate in London. If you're debating whether the Beef Wellington is worth ordering, the answer is absolutely yes.

The Beef Wellington was incredibly underwhelming. The pastry was soggy and lacked flavor, the beef wasn't memorable, and the mashed potatoes tasted like cardboard. For the premium price, I expected a meal worthy of Gordon Ramsay's name, but instead it was a complete disappointment. This is now the second Gordon Ramsay restaurant that has let me down, and unfortunately it's enough for me. I can't justify spending this kind of money for food of this quality, and I won't be dining at another Gordon Ramsay restaurant in the future.

Three courses for £35, I started with the chicken liver pâté, rich and silky enough to make you close your eyes and savor it. The slow-roast West Country beef. We were seated right in front of the fire pit, which added a rustic, cozy touch to the whole experience. Sure, it got a little toasty toward the end, but with the freezing cold outside, I wasn't about to complain. It felt like a true British winter dining experience, and I'd do it all over again.

Our food and drinks arrived promptly. We got the 40oz Tomahawk Steak and split it between 3 adults. Ordered the steak medium rare, and it came out a bit closer to rare but that's OK. The peppercorn sauce was delicious. Steak came with 2 potato sides so we had roasted potatoes and fries. I've been traveling in Europe for 2 weeks and these were easily the best fries I've had the entire trip. Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, and well seasoned. They do not offer real/straight horse radish. Only a creamy horse sauce. We had a delicious Bordeux red with the steak and it was a perfect pair. They do have a kids menu, which had some decent options... Squid and chips, burger, Mac and cheese, steak frites. The grilled Tuna Steak almost overshadowed the Tomahawk. We ordered it pink inside, and they delivered. It was perfectly seasoned and served with a garnish of grilled avocado with a tomato salsa. An incredible piece of fish! The building used to be a porn cinema so some of the artwork reflects that time. I'd describe it as tasteful decor, despite the subject matter. I felt like my Negroni cocktail was watered down. Don't miss Sofie's. So good!
