    Beef Wellington

We had dinner here tonight. It is a very casual atmosphere with a nice mixed menu. The cocktails were not great. I had the Espresso and Baileys martini. It had an unpleasant taste that was kind of artificial? Not sure what it could have been, but it left an aftertaste. My husband had the Rosemary Paloma. He said it was "okay". My son ordered an arancia soda. He got a glass that was 1/3 full of orange liquid and a bottle of club soda. He said it was so bitter he couldn't drink it. Drinks were 2/5. For dinner we had the Wellington for two and my son had the burger. The Wellington was DELICIOUS! Incredible. 5/5. The mashed potatoes were 2/5. I make better mash than that. Disappointing. And surprising. My son enjoyed his burger. 4/5. For dessert we had the bread and butter pudding - my husband loved it. (No clue what it was! I didn't try it.) 5/5 I had the sticky toffee pudding. Again - disappointing. I've had better. 2/5. Overall this was mediocre I'd say. The Wellington was fantastic. Service was fine - not bad, not great.

My wife and I had a terrible dining experience tonight where we were not greeted at all and when we sat down we had to wait 20 mins before this very unenthusiastic waitress asked what we wanted and took our order. We ordered the Beef Wellington and a Vegi Maki and Stone Bass Ceviche. We told the waitress we already had too much to drink and we didn't order any wine and she got very upset on her face. The starters tasted ok. The beef Wellington came after 45 mins and it's was as advertised. We didn't get a chance to finish the plate before the waitress came running and took our food away without asking us if we are finished. How rude!!!! We then asked for our check and the lady disappeared we have no idea what happened to her as we waiting over 40 minutes for our bill !!! We tried to fly down a couple different servers but they didn't want to help us. So finally this server helped us and tag on a 15% mandatory tip for crying out loud. I told the waiter I am not going to tip any amount tonight as the service was horrible. We will never come back again. Stay away

Restaurant was ok. It's located in our hotel so gave it a try. No complaints here. Had the beef Wellington, fish and chips, the Cesar salad and the Mac and cheese. Salad was spot on and beef Wellington was also delicious. It's big enough for three people. Not sure it's worth the wait though with 45 minutes to cook.

LOVED it here. I'm not sure what the reviews are about but perhaps this has taken a turn in the recent months. I came with the goal of having the beef Wellington but was on a time crunch and they certainly delivered. Ordered medium rare with glorious side of potato puree, it was perfectly cooked and flavorful with crisp and flaky puff pastry and a nice red wine sauce accoutrement. To start, we tried the sour dough bread and caeser salad. Bread was lovely and warm. Caeser salad with a jammy egg was a perfect surprise but so so good. For dessert, had the sticky toffee pudding. STP definitely required a sweet tooth and a love for caramel but I enjoyed it. Special shout out to the guy making the drinks last night because each mixed drink was superb - well balanced and oh so flavorful. Next time I'm around, I'd definitely come back !

The location is lovely. I was drawn in by the name thinking that if this restaurant is in the Gordon Ramsey chain it must be good. Well. Chef Ramsay should pop by unexpectedly some time because I think at the rate this restaurant is going it won't be around this time next year. They have the benefit of being attached to the hotel so likely to get first time but no repeat business, which is not sustainable. While the server was a lovely charming man, he was stretched too thin and unable to take care of his tables. I asked for a glass of champagne really cold. I saw it sit at the bar for over 5 mins before they brought it to me. The shrimp starter was tasty. Nice and hot. But it was downhill from there. The steak was chewy and the dull steak knife they gave me could not cut the meat. I ended up leaving over half the steak. The spinach was fine a tad greasy but good enough. I pushed my plates away and there they sat until I left even though I saw plenty of staff walk by here and there yet no one thought to pick up my discarded dishes. With so many excellent restaurants and pubs particularly in Mayfair this was a wasted meal. And btw very expensive. Avoid this place. Better to order room service in a pinch. I would have given it 1 star but for the kind server.

Made it to Gordon Bar and Grill in Mayfair last time I was in London and was sat at the bar immediately. The experience lived up to all of the other gordon restaurants I've been to! The bar tender was kind and prompt and always made sure that I had a drink in front of me! I got the fish and chips and they were incredible! Ambiance of the other patrons was rather upscale for a "bar and grill" but I thought it was perfect for the occasion! I'll make sure I visit again next time I'm in town!

Food was great. Our service was great. I cannot remember his name, but he was really good. Drinks were the best I've had in London. Service was very good and it had a good vibe. I would recommend a beef Wellington

Gordon Ramsay has a bar and grill right in the heart of Mayfair and it is good. It's not one of his fancier restaurants but it's certainly elevated bar fare. I had a superb Caesar salad with a nice jammy egg on top followed by a great burger with perfect chips (fries!). And maybe even a little sticky toffee pudding for dessert! It's a nice comfortable space with a bar that would be great for happy hour. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon.

A quintessential, on-brand, get what you'd expect from a Gordon Ramsay outfit. High quality, clean and creative, efficient, delicious, classic meal. I had the perfectly prepared rib eye, sampled four dinner wines from the bottle menu, and two dessert wines. And because it was London, I went in for the hot brownie dessert which was BEYOND. Tip top as they say in London Town.

We just had the loveliest week-long stay at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square -- one of the highlights was definitely enjoying the Gordon Ramsay Bar and Grill throughout the week. They had the most incredible breakfast spread every single morning, and we even ordered room service a couple of times. Not only was the food incredibly fresh and high-quality (you could really taste the difference!), but the staff was fantastic. Ella Kamila and Maffer Olivera especially took such great care of us. Whether you're staying at the hotel or just looking for a delicious breakfast or dinner option, I highly recommend checking out the Gordon Ramsay Bar and Grill. You won't be disappointed.

My girlfriends and I had a celebratory dinner at this Gordon Ramsay restaurant in the hotel we are stayed in Mayfair. The foods may look simple but all tasted fantastic. The most intriguing we tried was the mashed potatoes with bone marrow gravy. Delicious!

low light, fun music, strong bar appeal. First time trying Ramsey's beef Wellington. Pastry was a bit toasty. I didn't enjoy the flavor of the red wine jus, but a sauce was necessary to add moisture to the Wellington. Ceviche was flavorful. Best sticky toffee pudding in all of London!

The basement has a bar, lounge and restaurant. It was a little noisy. But we could still talk. The roasted scallops were cooked perfectly. The green sauce was tasty. I love the presentation. The Bill Marrow was also good. It was very rich. There were two kinds of Sunday roast a sirloin and a rump. Three of us had the rump roast dinner and three had the sirloin roast dinner. It was hard to tell the difference. All the dinners came with roasted potatoes greens and of course, Yorkshire pudding. It was all delicious. I have to say my favorite part is always the Yorkshire pudding. I also have a green salad, which is basically just lettuce with a light dressing. It was very fresh. We were too full for dessert. The service was excellent. We were seated right away and given water. In the UK, you can order sparkling, still or tap. Sparkling and still come with a charge. Tap is usually free. Our server was attentive without hovering. It's a good idea to make reservations at Hawksmoor especially for the Sunday roast. We got there at three by the time we left around 4:30 some of the roasts were already sold out. Just a note: Sunday roost is usually a late lunch not a dinner. It's good to go between two and four especially if you don't have a reservation.

I love that the entire restaurant is underground. We ended up getting an 800kg ribeye and it was the perfect amount of meat for us. We did supplement with lots of sides including the bone marrow, mushrooms on toast, beef dripping chips, and sweet potato. My favorite was the sweet potato, which was ash roasted for 10 hours and you could taste it. They all went will with the steak that came out in about 20 minutes, pre-sliced with a nice presentation. The peppercorn sauce was delicious. Steak came with 2 potato sides so we had roasted potatoes and fries. I've been traveling in Europe for 2 weeks and these were easily the best fries I've had the entire trip. Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, and well seasoned. They do not offer real/straight horse radish. Only a creamy horse sauce. We had a delicious Bordeux red with the steak and it was a perfect pair. They do have a kids menu, which had some decent options... Squid and chips, burger, Mac and cheese, steak frites. The grilled Tuna Steak almost overshadowed the Tomahawk. We ordered it pink inside, and they delivered. It was perfectly seasoned and served with a garnish of grilled avocado with a tomato salsa. An incredible piece of fish! The building used to be a porn cinema so some of the artwork reflects that time. I'd describe it as tasteful decor, despite the subject matter. I felt like my Negroni cocktail was watered down.
