All of the reviews online say this is the spot to go for Sunday Roast, but none of the reviews ever mentioned that you can only get your roast in 2 different styles: Rare, or Well done Ewwww. Neither really work for me. I ordered the well done and it was just straight barely eatable. The rare was like eating blood. I really don't like meats in either of these 2 styles so that was disappointing. I ordered a £14 Lychee Martini and it was basically the size of a shot. It tasted ok, but it was mostly memorable for how small it was. I also tried a £16 Fuller Old Fashioned. It was like drinking a shot of whiskey. There was nothing else in the drink. I think the bartender messed up. I liked the popover (although one of them was hard and burnt). I wouldn't come back here.

I wanted to experience a Sunday roast in London, but I did not realize its popularity. Luckily, Hawksmoor Seven Dials had a same-day reservation for two available, but it was for towards the end of their Sunday roast time. When we first got seated, we were first told that the Sunday roast was out, but to our delight, we were soon told that the kitchen was making more. The Sunday roast consists of dry-aged beef rump, beef-dripping roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, roasted carrots, buttered greens, roasted garlic, and bone marrow gravy. However, the kitchen was out of roasted carrots, so they let us pick some sides as substitutes, and we picked the baked sweet potatoes and macaroni and cheese. The meal was so delicious. The meat was a perfect medium rare, and it was so soft. The roasted potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The Yorkshire pudding was perfect for soaking up the gravy. The gravy was the best part - it was so rich and flavorful. Hawksmoor's Sunday roast was a really good experience. The food was perfect. The restaurant was once a brewery, so it has a rustic vibe to it. The staff service is top-notch. Make sure to plan ahead and book a reservation since it gets busy.

Great to be in town on a Sunday with work pals for Sunday Roast! Hawksmoor has several amazing restaurants to choose from and each one has an amazing service team and great food! The trio of us went for two types of meat with Chateaubriand and rib eye and both were cooked to perfection! We topped up the standard fare with cheesy cauliflower and everyone had a full belly! Definitely love trying each location and meeting all their wonderful staff. An extra bonus was the very extensive drinks menu that features non alcoholic beverages as well as wine, beer, and spirits!

So, in our journey to find the best sticky toffee pudding in London, we landed here. And let me tell you - the reviews that led us here weren't wrong! We literally came for just dessert (and a drink!), and we had an excellent experience. Staff was wonderful, and the place is a total vibe. Dark, moody, and wildly classy. Exactly what you'd expect from somewhere like this. The tiramisu was an add on, as our waitress let us know that it was a new dessert that had quickly risen in ranks among the staff. Truly one of the best I've ever had. The full fat old fashioned was a delightfully buttery twist that complimented the desserts well! The sticky toffee pudding?? My God. Incredible and will knock your socks off.

Wow, what a recommendation! Since I'm not from the area, I didn't know what to expect--the Hawksmoor Seven Dials, this beautiful underground restaurant is truly a hidden gem. The food was excellent, portions were generous, and prices were extremely fair. The service was warm and attentive from start to finish. We came here based on a recommendation, and we were absolutely not disappointed. I highly recommend anyone in the area to give this place a try--you won't regret it!

Wonderful service and incredible food. We shared a Caesar salad, Chateaubriand (650g) with marrow gravy, beef dripping chips, and the sticky toffee pudding. Everything was over the top delicious. The Caesar was the absolute best I've ever had. (I make my own from scratch at home and now I'm jealous that I can't make mine as delicious as theirs). The chateau was cooked medium rare perfectly, had an excellent exterior sear, and paired perfectly with the umami bomb of a gravy. The chips were indeed as beefy and crispy as everyone says. We'd never had a dessert like this before and weren't sure what to expect. We're definitely hooked, it was phenomenal. The interior is cozy, not as fancy as you'd find in a similar menued/priced steakhouse in the US. But that's fine! You're not in the US and it's perfect for London. We loved our service and the full fat old fashions paired perfectly with everything. Chef's kiss!

Part of a chain, but solid steakhouse in Covent Garden/Seven Dials area. Dining room is downstairs - dark, atmospheric. Restaurant sells the larger cuts of steak by the gram, depending upon what is available. Started with a Caesar salad and crab on toast to share. We shared a large chateaubriand and some chips. The meat was tender, seasoned, and the chips were crisp. Only problem? It was not enough food for our group so we ordered more steak and tried the "fries". This cut of meat was not as expensive (or as good). The fries were thin sliced, as opposed to the thicker chips (which we preferred). Service was uneven. We had many servers helping us and trying to take plates, but hardly one of them checked in on what we needed. Good for pre-theater meal.

Came by just for the sticky toffee pudding. You can just eat at the bar without needing a reservation. The receptionists were very polite and helpful. The decor is very neat and swanky. The sticky toffee pudding was amazing and it really hit the sweet tooth spot!

Excellent service and cocktails but the sirloin (ordered to medium rare) was very dry and chewy.

FRIES WITH TRUFFLE CHEESE The fries weren't as crispy as I would've liked, but the soft bite similar to mashed potatoes was pretty good. The cheese itself really carried the rich flavors of the truffle without overwhelming your tastebuds. Such a decadent cheese. SALT AND PEPPER SQUID The squid meat itself wasn't over cooked which is easy to do and makes it feel like you're chewing on a tire. Not the case here. The squid was fried perfectly, nice and crispy first bite. The garlic aioli complimented the batter they used to fry the squid in, very tasty. PEKING DUCK LETTUCE WRAPS These lettuce wraps were the perfect two bites sized appetizers. Such a flavorful and well cooked duck. The cucumber salad and lettuce helped bring the intensity of flavors down so that you could enjoy every bite. There's a full bar, but service is a little slow and congested. Staff are really nice and friendly. The dart games are so involved where each player can have their selfie taken and name displayed on the board. You can compete as teams or against each other depending on your chosen game. At the end, there is a final game stats to show who won and a group photo to conclude all the fun. A fantastic way to test out your dart skills and have fun with your loved ones!

Maybe it was…read morebecause it was kind of (not really) late and there weren't many other places open (aside from the first place we tried across the street who told us the kitchen was closed even though they were open for another 3 hours) but the place was packed! And it was loud. I guess technically it was a darts place and so there was a lot of excitement near the dartboard area. The bar staff were all buzzing about shaking their shakers and pouring drinks. It was a great vibe - apropos for a Friday night. Ok we got the little bit lychee drink (subbed vodka for gin) which was excellent with what looked like a dark dahlia floating on top. I wanted to try a British beer and got the magic rock saucery session pale ale (saying its name is like a built in sobriety test). The ale was definitely IPA but with a really clean finish. And because I'm a pig, ordered the fries with truffle cheese. Wow that was so so good! Shoestring fries with a heavy drizzle of truffle melted cheese. I can't really complain about the super loud music since it probably suited the main clientele and was really good (club versions of many 80s songs). So it looks like a really fun joint for the young locals with some older folks who maybe stumbled in like we did. Really nice bartenders and front staff. Thanks for not giving us a BS line to keep us out like the other place.
