Hands-down, my favorite store in Brooklyn. I love strolling in on a weekend, browsing the teas, crystals, books, and vibes. There are two staff members that I found super helpful and kind, but one is not my cup of tea. I've done an astrology reading here, and procured many herbs and teas that have helped my spirit. The afternoon sunlight streaming in the windows is so lovely and mood-boosting. I also discovered an herbalism summit through some flyers in the store, and appreciated the knowledge gained. read more

Fantastic place. Popped into here on a beautiful day, so it was a little crowded. Seating is very limited but I wound up browsing while I was drinking a blue rose latte (very good). There are no bathrooms in the store but it's a very short walk around the corner to 67 west. Worth a trip...the staff are amazing. I wound up buying a few of the teas and powders- they were able to sell the rose powder by the oz, so I didn't have to commit to the whole jar without trying it first! read more

Anima Mundi offers great elixirs and supplement powders. Their cafe has some of the best wellness drinks I have had and they are happy to add any elixirs depending on what you want to address (i.e. calmness, stress, etc). There are so many great products on the website. I recently purchase the Womb tea, which is perfect for women at all stages of life. I initially purchased one bag to see how I liked it. I've had two cups today and love this tea. I imagine it has different effects on different bodies but I felt deeply relaxed after the first cup, so I'd suggest this as an evening tea. I also purchased the Rose powder because the idea of a warm rose elixir during a Full Moon cycle sounds very goddess like. Really though, Rose made as a tea is a powerful nerve tonic for relieving stress, anxiety, and a number of challenges we all face on a daily basis and it's fear for the skin. I enjoy Rose powder as a plant based milk tea by itself or with other calming herbs. I also love rose water. You can find the recipe for making your own on the Anima Mundi website (love the website). I'm excited because now I can make my own rose water instead of buying it from pricey health stores. I also purchased the brass spoon from here. It's fancy and I love it! Looking forward to buying more products including the Butterfly Pea Flower aka "Blue Healer" and the Blue Lotus flowers for tea. read more

It's open during covid, everyone wearing masks... I wish I had a place like this in Jersey. I'd be here alllll the time. Absolutely my favorite place in Greenpoint. Incredibly beautiful, with a thoughtful curation of herbs, tinctures, soaps, candles, books and anything else to uplift and deepen our spirits. Oh my goodness! First off the energy when you walk in is unreal. Its is beautiful and on top of that the staff is out of this world. You can tell that this is just not a business but a life style. There is so much detail that went into setting up this beautiful place. It is easy to spend money because it is going to a cause vs a business. The cause to spread health and wellness. Today is my first experience in Anima Mundi and I'm completely in awe. Firstly, they were playing a chilled out version of Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain". It invited me in instantly. Though I only came in for the Sacred Smoke I left buying it along with the Blood Tonic (thanks to Dorian's reco). Before leaving I enjoyed a cup of The PROTECT: mushroom coffee which not only tasted good but definitely made me feel better. Because I didn't want to go broke and spend all my money on everything (because they're are so many amazing items to choose from) at once I've already decided that I'll be back! This place is absolutely incredible, a must to visit if you are in the area. It has a soothing atmosphere and cafe with a great selection of healing lattes. Every angle photographs so well and it is great to just come here to relax and have a peaceful moment during the day. They have events and workshops and in the evenings the space is even more magical. It is the best place to stock up on well sourced adaptogens like reishi and ashwagandha with a varied selection and such nice packaging. A definite favorite in Greenpoint! read more

Our Apothecary is composed of the most pristine, and medicinal botanicals found in nature. We are devoted to providing the freshest and most vibrant herbal formulas. Anima Mundi's roots are within the heart of Costa Rica. We specialize in sourcing directly from native people within Central and South America as well as work directly with small farmers from around the world. Meet the Business Owner: Adriana A.

I am the herbalist, medicine maker, educator and founder over at Anima Mundi. I'm originally from Costa Rica and started Anima Mundi several years ago in Brooklyn as a means to bridging ancient remedies to the modern world. My heart was to create a true farm to pharmacy experience through the art of medicine making with herbs. We offer a wide spectrum of remedies and plants from the world, integrating from several traditions that I've studied over the year, such as rainforest tribal styles, Ayurveda, Chinese-Daoist Medicine, and European style alchemy. I believe that by preserving these ancient forms of indigenous botany, we keep alive a very sacred aspect to our source. Anima Mundi was founded with the intention to bridge ancient healing traditions and plant remedies as a form as grass roots healthcare for today's world.

The fettuccini pasta with mushrooms is also a repeat order for me. I would love to try some of their daily special pastas one day. They sell fresh pasta and sauce as well for takeout! Never ate here but I've delivered and picked up.

As soon as my friend arrived, we ordered a 1/2 dozen West Coast oysters, which were not on the happy hour menu, and several dozens of the HH East Coast oysters. Our server did an excellent job explaining the origin of the oysters as well as the specials of the day. The West Coast oysters were Kumamoto (California), while the East Coast selection were called Bad Boys (from Nova Scotia, Canada). Normally I'm a big fan of West coast oysters, but the Bad Boys were delicious! They were plump with a bold ocean brine & crisp finish. My friend also ordered a cup of clam chowder, which he thoroughly enjoyed. One of the best oyster HH spots I've come across, because it seems to be harder finding good ones lately. Would definitely come back to try the other seafood dishes.

During my recent visit to Anima Mundi, I was met with unwelcoming and dismissive service from the male cashier on Saturday afternoon. Despite the positive interactions he had with other patrons, his attitude towards me and my inquiries was marked by reluctance and apathy. Even a simple request to check for newer stock of certain adaptogens and herbs was met with apparent annoyance. This inconsistent treatment left me feeling undervalued and uncomfortable. While the store has garnered glowing online reviews, this unfortunate encounter has deterred me from revisiting.
