I have two large dogs, Dogo Argentinos, and my male is unfixed. It's sometimes hard to find places that will allow my dogs to come for day care. We recently moved to OK from TX and had to find a new place. We had heard good things about Animal Boarding Center on Tuttle Talk on Facebook. So we checked them out. And we are super happy with them. They are good with my dogs; they have several fenced in areas so they can let different groups of dogs out at various times for playtime. My dogs get to meet other dogs through the fence, which is good for their social interaction. They don't go often as I work from home and they spend time with me, but we like to let them have some stimulating play away from home so they can experience different sights and smells. The price is super reasonable, Kim and Ronnie are great with all the dogs, and my dogs, Taco and Bella, are always excited when we pull up out front. We love that we can see photos of their time at "camp," as we call it, the next day on FB. We will definitely keep coming back. read more

I urge everyone to do check out any place you are going to leave your fur babies. Safe, responsible, and honest places. Unfortunately, I cannot say these things about Animal Boarding Center. We have been both customers and employees. We experienced things that were not safe for dogs nor people and have tried to resolve things directly; however, they refused to respond to any of our requests. This is my story. We were hired for what we thought was part time work caring for animals and using my administrative skills to create systems that run more smoothly. Instead, we were tasked with facility maintenance duties that had been long neglected - piles of soiled, nasty laundry in multiple locations and dirty dishes that had been there for at least a month. It was so infested with mice that my parents' small dog that hunts and kills small critters gave up, just lying on a blanket with large amounts of mouse poop under it. We offered food storage solutions to fix this that were ignored. Cages have sharp edges that cut us and the dogs and they weren't always clean when dogs came in. We would clean them for a dog coming in and then another dog would be put in the clean cage and incoming dog would be put in a dirty cage. They spread lime on outdoor waste to keep other dogs from eating it. We did not feel that was safe for us or the dogs. We worked on sanitation and tried to understand how things were run without a clear system, i.e., customers are told their dogs will go outside every 2 hours but it's more like every 3 to 4 hours with a few exceptions. This worked for the owners, as they know the dogs, but not for anyone else. I was told multiple times how amazing my daughter was and how she hoped one day she would want to take over the business. If further issues had not come to light, we likely would have stayed to help them get things on track. However, bigger issues did occur. A larger dog did not get to go out as often and got a UTI. Usually very sweet, but not feeling well when I took her out on her leash, she yanked the leash and my arm so hard it was dislocated with nerve damage that I am still dealing with and will for the rest of my life. When I told the owner, she said it couldn't be that bad since that dog doesn't pull hard. Well, maybe not under normal circumstances. She slinged my arm for a couple of days but did not alter work hours. I sought medical help and asked for every other day shifts, but she gave me back-to-back shifts each week. After an MRI and starting physical therapy I asked about workers comp since the injury was at work. She denied responsibility even though I was on the clock, on her property and she was in charge of when and where I worked and my tasks. I discovered workers are hired as employees but are paid and reported as independent contractors. I explained that because of the way she was managing her workers they were considered employees and not contractors, and the legal consequences of this and encouraged her to research it. We had to stop working there. She said she was sad we didn't want to work there; I told her it wasn't about wanting to, we needed them to do things legally and take responsibility for their employees and be honest with employees and customers. Before leaving your fur babies with them, ask questions...are employees covered by insurance; food storage; rodent and pest control; tour the entire facility; look at the halls the dogs use; where are the dogs groomed AND bathed; inspect the shelves in the store; any recent client health issues; overbooking policies. Daycare dogs, ask if they get the same kennel every day or check the kennel before you leave them each day. These things will let you know if they are running a quality business that is safe, honest, and responsible. The other negative online reviews mirror our own experiences. My hope is this review along with other feedback they have received from the community will only help them improve their business. read more

I love Animal Boarding Center. We have been bringing our high energy husky for daycare for over a year with ZERO issues. No kennel cough no pipe smoking. We get pictures of her playing with her friends posted on Facebook. I have personally seen the bathing area and it looks just as it should. An area for bathing dogs will be dirty at the end of the day. I take my elderly dog in for grooming with Kim regularly too. read more

Please do not take your fur babies here!! They don't show you all the areas that your dogs are exposed to. The bathing area is completely horrific. They don't clean/sanitize the cages/pens they have built at all. The owner walks around smelling like she's been hitting the pipe it's just a terrible place. This is THE BEST animal boarding center I have ever taken my animals to. Kim and her husband, neither of which smoke crack, in my opinion, are the most caring people I have ever met. I love that they post pictures of the dogs (and pigs) during their stays. When I am away from my animals, I miss them and to see pictures of them happily playing with other dogs makes me feel better when I'm away. Kim calls me with anything she notices about my animals behavior and I appreciate that. If you see anything negative about this boarding center, I would say it's someone who has a negative outlook on life in general. We just returned from boarding our miniature poodle at ABC and she had a great time and we also had her groomed while she was there and she looks cute as a button! We kept up with her by looking at the Facebook posts. I loved seeing her out playing with the other dogs. She was a rescue dog I am very timid and shy and scared of other dogs but she did very well and we will definitely take her there again the next time we go out of town or need grooming, and their prices are very reasonable. read more

With the Fourth coming up I would like to share a warning for those of you who are looking for somewhere to board your pets I would like to warn you about ABC Boarding off of Highway 37. We just picked up our dog this morning and she began coughing a lot. We took her to the vet and he said she had kennel cough. They said she was the 5TH CASE they have seen this week from ABC. She had all of her shots including the Kennel Cough shot. Five cases in one week shows us that something is not being taken care of the way it should be at this facility. We took care of our dogs by getting their vaccines, but unfortunately others did not and now our poor pup has to pay. Our dogs are family to us and seeing her sick like this is heart breaking. Make sure to do your research before boarding your dogs anywhere. When we contacted the owners they said she was fine there no signs or symptoms ever she must have gotten it elsewhere. Things happen sickness goes around from what I've read but to flat out say it was our fault and they had no fault is wrong. read more
