I can't recommend Vera Posh Paws enough! We've been using their boarding services for almost two years now. The staff has hands down the best customer service. One of the standout features for me is their use of webcams, which allowed me to check in on my dog any time during the day. Being able to watch my pup, Randy, running around and playing gave me such peace of mind. It's so reassuring to see Randy happy and having a great time while I'm away. The staff here is amazing--kind, attentive, and clearly passionate about caring for animals. They treat each dog like their own, ensuring that every pet gets plenty of playtime, attention, and rest. Like I said - they're the best. The facility itself is clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed for dogs of all sizes and energy levels. It's clear they go above and beyond to make sure both pets and owners are comfortable. When I picked up Randy, he was happy, healthy, and maybe even a little sad to leave all his new friends! I'm so grateful to Vera Posh Paws for providing such a safe and welcoming space. I took both of my dogs there today and it was literally the **best experience ever**. They offer a self-service dog wash where you can bathe your dog yourself, and it's only **$18** per dog (price depends on size, but still super affordable). I have a pitbull and a bully. They're both pretty good sized dogs. What I loved most is how **convenient** it is -- no huge mess at home, no dog hair everywhere, no clogged drains. Everything is already set up for you. And when I say they include *everything*, I mean **everything** -- dog brushes, shampoo (even brightening shampoo), towels, dog perfume/cologne, and they even give your dog a **bandana** when you're done... all complimentary. Their prices for full grooming are also really reasonable, but if you're like me and can't always afford the extras, this is such a perfect option. I can totally afford $18, and my dogs left clean, happy, and smelling amazing. Honestly, this is one of the best and most affordable dog-friendly services I've ever experienced. I have been boarding my dogs at Posh Paws OKC for many years & never had any issues other than my dogs were tired when they got home. Different story today! When I picked her up today, My doggie (ShihTzu) was wet & smelled like urine. She was filthy. Her doggie bed & blanket were wet & just as stinky. She also has one eye that looks injured. It's also matted & she can't open it. I was never advised of any issues or injuries. Since Stephanie left it has gone downhill quickly. read more

Vera's Posh Paws - Bubble day!! - Pet Boarding Near Me - Moore, Oklahoma

I don't normally write reviews, let alone spiteful ones... & I really hate to be this way, but if I can save one other animal from getting hurt by this place, it's worth it to me. I am going to try to summarize this awful experience as much as I can. I didn't want to drag on and on, but dealing with this place was literally a nightmare, and I want people to be as informed as possible so they don't end up in the same situation that we are in today. So the entirety of my review will be in the pictures below, because it cut me off at 4000 characters. Before I get into our specific story, I just want to mention that I uploaded some pictures of the WebCam even though our dogs were not on it most of the time, because I want you to notice that these dogs are left out there for hours without any water. Another situation happened that we noticed between a German Shepherd and a bloodhound looking dog - they could've just been playing rough, but the German Shepherd was dragging the bloodhound by its mouth across the floor so that was a little concerning!! No supervision at all. FYI - We have used Ok Canine Corral before and they have someone supervising the animals at all times. All of the other gifs and pictures are mainly of Shadow's injury. Alright, onto our personal experience... We left to go to New York for one week. We dropped the dogs off at Vera's Posh Paws in Moore, under the impression that we would get to see our dogs on camera every day. Not only that, but we upgraded to a "suite" that was supposed to have a camera in it as well. After one day in NYC not being able to find them on any cameras, I started calling to check in on them. No one ever answered. Not once. Not ONE TIME. All calls were during business hours and at different times of the day just for good measure. I finally left a voicemail, obviously upset, but not mean, and just mentioned that on top of the lack of communication, we were unable to see the camera in the suite, and that we would appreciate a call back with the password in order to view that camera. No call back - go figure!!! Surprisingly, our dogs WERE on camera the day after that call - but again, with no water for hours. All of the dogs were panting and it made me so sad! That brings us to today, when we went to pick up our sweet babies. As soon as we got there, the young girl at the front desk told us that Shadow had been hurt. She said that one of the managers had "tried to contact us" the night before, and failed to reach us. We were flying home from New York, so my phone was off if she really did try to call, but regardless a voicemail should have been left to inform us of the situation! Not to mention, it had already been a week of me trying to call, , with no answer or response. I should've only had to call ONE time to receive an answer or a call back from the message I left. It was clear that they were not taking proper care of our animals, and they thought if they just ignored my calls I would magically forget about the fact that we were still unable to check up on our pups. We finally got a manager out to talk to us, and they brought our dogs out. Shadow's knee was swollen to the size of a baseball. She immediately started speaking to us as though we didn't know what was going on, as though I didn't know anything about veterinary care, and was trying to dumb down the situation as if Shadow's injury was not a big deal. All the while, he was completely unable to walk on his leg. ‍ She said it was "a small knick" and that the "skin was so thin on the knee that it automatically swells up that big for super small injuries." - I will get back to Shadow's injuries in a moment when I tell you what our Vet said. At that point, I told the manager I felt like she was giving us the runaround, and I didn't even bother to tell her that I have a few years under my belt studying veterinary medicine. I've been bringing my dog to Veras for over a year now and it's amazing. They love and care for your fur baby almost as much as you do. He loves going there and his friends. The staff understands the needs of each dog and can care for a variety of them. He knows immediately when we are going there and gets super excited. I feel confident when I'm leaving him to board there that nothing will go wrong and that he will be healthy and happy the whole time. The added cameras do also ease my helicopter mommy brain as well. But now I barely even check them when he is there cuz I feel completely comfortable that he is at his 2nd home. read more

Great staff, super knowledgeable and friendly, and I got to walk around where they keep the dogs so I could see what my pup would be living in. Great area, large play places, it's a great facility. Prices are a bit steep for my liking but I have been told I'm a cheapskate. They also sell taste of the wild dog food, I might start purchasing from them instead of having to wait on Amazon. There are cameras where you can watch your dog, in not sure if you can look into them remotely from your phone but that's something handy. The fact that they let your dogs socialize is a big plus for me. I recommend this place. read more

Our dog- a 40lb blue heeler mix- goes to doggy day care at Vera's twice a week. He LOVES IT. The dogs get lots of stimulation with individual play, play together in the yard, and it's so nice to have a place he likes to go when we have to go out of town. He's high energy and it's great to have him come home tired, especially on days when we've had a full day of work! All of the staff know him by name and are so helpful. They give us a report any time we ask. There have been a couple of days where the dogs gave gotten into minor scuffles-- it's a dog day care and they are animals... One time his eye was worrying them after a small skirmish and they called me right away and even drove him to my vet and back so I wouldn't have to leave work. (He was totally fine, just being a drama queen.) They take great pains to make sure the place is clean and that the dogs are well cared for and I would absolutely recommend them. We've had him boarded and groomed there as well and they did a great job. I mean seriously. We are looking to buy a house and I refuse to move anywhere that would take Vera's away from him, not even joking. read more

Took my dog in for a deshedding treatment and a nail trim. I was told that I would be called when he was ready. At the end of the day, I called, got their answering machine. I decided to drive down and just wait for him. Turns out he was done. They just forgot. They also told me that they weren't able to clip his nails,they tried and "quicked" him on the second nail. They also told me that his fur was so thick they only got him partially deshedded & that I should just brush him a lot over the next few days. The reason why I took him there was so that they would get most of the hair. Somehow other places were able to do it. So basically I paid 45$ for a dog wash. read more

I took my dog to camp when I had surgery and I was unable to care for him. He stayed for 6 nights, I checked on him each day for the first 3 days. One of the Camp counselors let me know that he was o.k. and was doing fine I was also able to check on my dog with their Camper Cams (they don't work with Chrome yet, but Explorer worked fine). When I took Bear for his evaluation (one free day of camp to check your dogs behavior and to see what group they play in) the facility was clean and the Camp Counselors were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive.Boy do I wish I had know this place was so good last Thanksgiving. I took my dog with me to Ft. Worth and I bored him there. I will use this facility again. read more

My husband and I recently moved from Chicago to Austin and OKC was our stopping point for the night. We needed a place to board our two huskies Maple and Bacon and thanks to wonderful reviews (from yelp of course!) I was sent to this doggie nirvana. Off the bat, I loved that we had until 7pm to get them there. That gave us plenty of wiggle room time on the drive down for stops without rushing. The people who work there could not have been nicer and the dogs had a blast and weren't ready to leave when we picked them up the next morning. I love that there are multiple play areas and the employees actually play with them instead of tossing them a toy and leaving them be. They also keep them together at night when they sleep and the price was fab. I hope not to find myself in Oklahoma City again anytime soon (sorry sooners, no hate!), but if I do I would bring the pups back here in a heartbeat read more

They are trained to administer medications, they follow special feeding instructions, and offer bathing / grooming servies. My family had just moved from Seattle, Washington to OKC. We used to do doggie-daycare at PetSmart back in WA. However, PetSmart dose not offer this service in Oklahoma. So, we turned to Posh Paws. BEST DOGGY DAYCARE EVER! The first day, they gave us a tour and I was impressed with how they organized the dogs. I have two, a pug and lab-mix. My lab is an older lady who would get stressed when boarded with high energy dogs. So, what I loved was how they have an "older doggy room". My lab was so happy to be with dogs that share her energy level. My pug on the other hand, is a queen who needs to be housed with other dogs who will get her put of her shell. She had so much fun! Either of my dogs came out of PetSmart as happy as they did coming out of Posh Paws. I would also like to give a Shout Out to the wonderful staff! They love their job and are very friendly. All dogs have a "dog socialization test" that takes at least 3 hours. I appericated this because I knew that all the dogs in a play room are pet friendly. My poochies passed their tests and got a certificate with their pictures. Please stop by Posh Paws, I have never seen a better doggy day care. Worst groom we've ever had! The haircut is so uneven and my instructions weren't followed. And our dog came home smelling the same way she did when I dropped her off. I don't have the option to leave less than a 1-star review, otherwise I would. I had heard people give high reviews regarding Vera's - so I decided to board my dog there while on vacation. On my first day of vacation out of state, I was called by them that he got kennel cough. And that they would be kenneling him for the remainder of the stay to be sure that he wouldn't contaminate others. After I picked him up and paid my FULL balance - I then took him to the vet and paid for his kennel cough treatment. Only weeks later to have someone on the staff call me to say I had a remainder of my balance was still owed. Unbelievable. I will never take my pets to Vera's again. Horrible service. For the 2nd time, Vera's Posh Paws called to inform us that our dog has ran out of food. Each time we board, we take food and measure out several cups more than needed. After getting several different stories as to what happened to the food, the supervisor finally said that she spilled some! This has happened to many friends that we have recommended to Vera's Posh Paws, not just our family. When they emailed our receipt after we picked up our dog, it said on it "The owners are not friendly and our dog is not allowed back to their facility". When I had to take an unexpected trip to Tulsa for a couple of days I needed some place that could watch my dog. I scoured the internet looking for places in the OKC metro and came across Camp Bow Wow. They seemed promising, so I filled out their application for admittance and called them up the next day. I was a bit perturbed about their review process, all dogs must pass a 3 hour trial period in which they see if they fit well with the other animals, and I had no time to wait. I left my dog there and with a backup plan in my pocket, left town. My dog had no problems coming to enjoy the company here. Everyone was very friendly and enthusiastic about their work. They gave me a quick tour beforehand and I must say, the facilities are very accommodating for any dog. Four large indoor/outdoor play areas for different sized dogs and personal sleeping quarters seemed very nice. They also have webcams in the building so that you may check up on your pet either online or on your iPhone (sadly no Android app). The application was very thorough and left no stone uncovered. They want to treat your pet how you treat your pet, down to the minor details. Pickup was a snap and my dog seemed very happy, whenever I leave town this will definitely be the place my dog will stay. On a side note, my pet did smell a bit after staying there for two days, but I suppose they can't be constantly cleaning the facilities, they do offer bath services, however, so that is always an option for next time. read more

This is where I take my miniature schnauzer when I have to go out of town. He plays all day with other dogs and then they board him in his own cabin with a cot and blanket at night. I really love being able to watch him on the webcams during the day. The staff is really great. You can tell they're dog lovers. You can bring your dog's own food and give them feeding specifications. When I have to leave my pup, I feel better knowing he is being taken care of at Camp Bow Wow. read more

We've being using Vera's Posh Paws Moore since it was Camp Bow Wow years ago! Our fur babies LOVE going here. Started both going to day care for a few hours as soon as they got their last puppy shots; now go 1-2 x week for playtime, and boarded for trips, vacays etc. Cannot recommend them enough!!... The Staff truly seem to love all the dogs. I downloaded the app to watch them by vid camera and it reassures me esp when we are boarding. They go beyond the call of duty: for one of our finicky eaters, they have (with our consent), offer other foods or treats, or even parts of their own lunches to coax her to eat. I've taken my dog here a few times, when it was a CBW franchise. It seemed like a pretty good place. It did occur to me that they never offered me a tour of the facility, even on my dog's "interview" day. I tried several times, on four different computers, to watch the doggie-cam video but just got errors. I hope they are able to thrive now that they are not burdened by the franchise issues. I wish them only the best and know that the entire staff has our dog's best interest at heart. Now that they are offering a free day of daycare for this review, I will give them another chance. It is great for dogs to have a place to play, with supervision, and with dogs that are assessed as friendly and social. read more

Today was my 2nd time using this place for grooming! Will never go back! Had my husband drop her off and when I went to pick her up, she only had 1 bow in and they didn't offer to put the other one back in! They didn't polish her nails even though I furnished her polish! But they did the last time! I asked why and was told the new groomer doesn't do nails. The 2nd bow was out of her hair before we got home! So I paid $45 for a bath and trim!!! read more

I love Camp Bow Wow but more importantly Molly (our lab) LOVES Camp Bow Wow! Molly stayed at Camp Bow Wow while we were out of town for 6 days. I gave me such peace of mind knowing that Molly was being cared for by people who love her as much as we do. It was awesome to be able to check in on her via Camper Cam. No longer take my pets there, do not recommend. We've been taking our dogs there for years, since when this location was still a Camp Bow Wow franchise. Unfortunately, we've met with quite a few issues since they un-franchised, and we've finally been driven off. Their booking system for boarding is unreliable, they're quick with the no-show fees even if you're on the waiting list, and the prices for bathing have absolutely gone through the roof recently. 35 dollars for a bath and a nail trim is a criminal rip-off - you can take your pup to a separate groomer and pay that amount for a full grooming, which is what I recommend you do. Facility is modern and clean, the groomer there does a wonderful job and the girls are sweet and love the dogs, but their business practices and pricing are abhorrent. I am so disappointed in my experiences there over the past year. read more

My dogs have been going to Vera's Posh Paws since it first opened. Unfortunately, my last visit with them was very disappointing on two counts: 1. Most importantly, the last time I boarded my dog with them, they informed me when I picked up dog up that they were washing his bed. When I asked why, I was informed that it was "soaked in pee." My dog never, ever pees on his bed. He has this crazy ability to wait 12 or even more hours before having to go outside to pee. He had to have been left in his kennel a really long time without having an opportunity to go out. I felt really badly for leaving him there with them. 2. A long time ago, I spent $100 on a day care package. I used one of the five days. Then I got a job that required me to be at work at 6:00 a.m. so I couldn't take my dog to day care anymore. I asked if I could apply the remainder to the boarding fee, since the credit had literally been on my account for years. I was informed that this would be "impossible." As in, the computer wouldn't allow them to do this, as I had bought a package and there was no way to apply the remainder to the boarding fee. Really? Just say you refuse to do it. I promise you, it's not "impossible." All you have to do is zero out the day care amount and apply a credit to the boarding fee. Trust me, if the credit had been applied to my account in error, you could sure zero it out. If you want to be a real jerk, charge me a $20 fee or something for transferring it over, but don't take my entire $80. You don't open early enough for me to take my dogs to day care anymore read more

I started taking my dog to Vera's last year when I moved to Moore. I use the doggy day care on bad weather days when I cannot leave my dog in the backyard while I'm at work or when he really needs some good exercise (he's a German Short-haired Pointer and super energetic, it's not possible for me to run his energy off). He is so excited every morning he gets to go to play. He sits by the drawer where I keep his leash and can't wait to get in the car to drive there. Once there, he cannot get to the play area fast enough (he LOVES to play). He goes all day, so he's exhausted when I pick him up in the evenings. He knows when it's time for me to come get him and he's ready to go home, get some dinner, and fall asleep. The front desk staff are always friendly and seem to genuinely love dogs. They are happy to see my dog every time he's there. I don't worry about my dog while he's there because I trust his behavior and because I trust the staff. The interview process, while it can be an impediment if you do not plan for it, is extremely valuable to ensure all dogs there will enjoy being there and will get along with everyone else. Plus, it's a free day of day care, so that's pretty awesome. I will continue to use Vera's as long as my dog enjoys it, so pretty much forever. read more

If you need to board your dogs somewhere while you're on vacation, you don't want to take them anywhere but Vera's Posh Paws (formerly known as Camp Bow Wow) in Moore. My 2 dogs love going to "camp" where they are in the playyard with other dogs their size. The employees take great care of them while they are there and they are always in wonderful spirits when I pick them up. I personally like the camera feature so I can login on my computer and see my dogs playing with the other dogs. I have also used Vera's Posh Paws for baths and have been satisfied with their service. Don't go anywhere else if you're in the Moore, OK area! read more
