They lost my friends dog Roscoe while taking him outside, only for Roscoe to get hit by a car and killed. This isn't the first time something likes this has happened. Please if you love your fur babies stay as far away from this place as possible. There will be a news story being uploaded tomorrow evening. The vet claimed he slipped his leash but the person who hit him said he still had his leash and collar on. I pray she sues this clinic for everything. If your pet is healthy nothing to worry about but if your pet is in need of care urgently they'll make you wait forever for an appointment leading to your pet's life on the line due to improper care. We went to a specialist today who told us how serious my dog's condition was when my vet blew it off like nothing. Now working on trying to save my dog's eye when this all could have been prevented with proper care and instructions from my vet. Now we're looking at a 3,000 dollar surgery that could have been prevented with annual care of $500 or less to assist with a cherry eye that has now resulted as an ulcer threatening his eye and possibly his life. Do not recommend my friend also struggled with care for her cat who also needed an urgent appointment not waiting around for a week that's not good enough. read more

I had already spent almost $7000 in specialists trying to heel my German shepherd Floyd. His back legs started to go out and he was in a lot of pain. I had done CT scans and surgery with a very expensive specialist. The out come was still the same. My family vet recommended that I try acupuncture with Dr.Tim at the Fairfield office. I had never heard of doing acupuncture on dog but I was desperate. This was my last attempt to make him better I couldn't let him suffer. I was in total shock! After the very first session I started to see an improvement and he also started to eat again. I've had 5 sessions with doctor Tim. Floyd is almost 100 percent back to normal! He has also gained all his weight back. He's back to enjoying his life again. I couldn't be happier I wouldn't have believed it but I saw it with my own eyes. The doctors and staff are nice. I think they handled the pandemic well. I do not recommend getting the wellness plan. I had to put my dog down in April and they still made me pay for May which I find to be asinine. When your pet passes; they should not charge you for future months. The response I kept getting back from them was it's just one wellness payment. If the payment is a "just" then you can "just" refund my payment for a pet that has passed away. read more

ACC in Fairfield is a Great Place in my experience. Professional, friendly, and like any business, they have schedules and you have schedule in advance most of the time. There are 8 veterinarians here, with multiple exam rooms. Dr. Keisha Navarette is Jack's (my dog) Vet, she is friendly, and patient, and makes sure you as the owner understand everything, she is thorough. ACC also employs Vet Techs, there to confirm everything, and speed up the visit. Jack he is eager to enter, to see his Vet. Highly recommend. read more

I have always had great experiences here until recently. My dog has to have his tooth removed as it is chipped so I signed up for the pet wellness plan. I was told that for $62 a month, all of the office visits will be included and a teeth cleaning as well. There are only a few things that are not included and per the paperwork I received the procedure would be $280 with the plan. A month or so later, I schedule to get his tooth pulled and confirm the price. I asked to confirm the price 3 times and got three different prices with everyone saying the price is subject to go up or down. This is the day before the procedure and I have gotten prices that range from $100-$600, it's not a $50 difference, it's $500! So I go ahead and cancel the appointment because I don't have the money to just be surprised with a $600 bill when I get there. I go ahead and cancel the wellness plan and have to pay back what we used for his vaccines, no problem. I asked the woman who helped me if I would be charged for this month and she said no because it was cancelled before the 5th but if I was to call back and speak with Joanne. So, I was charged for the month, so I'm waiting on a call back at this point. The doctors have always been really great and taken their time, but I feel as though something is not flowing well there. The office staff is always very nice and I've never had a problem, but it was very frustrating that the day before a surgery, I was not able to get a confirmed price, or even a ball park price for my dog. I'm not sure if someone isn't communicating with the office staff but the experience was very frustrating. And even after being told I wouldn't be charged, I was charged. I eventually got my money back but the whole experience was frustrating. read more

I used this veterinarian for the first time recently. Having been around the block a few times with veterinarians, this one seems to be worth it. I had no trouble getting an appointment booked for just a couple business days out, and the prices for services were reasonable. I had to get a blood test run on my cat, and it was only $150 - far less than the $250 I've paid at other vets. The veterinarian that saw me seemed very knowledgeable, and took time to listen to the symptoms and answer all my questions. One important item of note. I had stopped in here years ago to talk to them about possibly bringing my Siamese by. I don't know if it's still true, but it used to be that one of the vets at this facility has a specialty in feline diabetes. Since this is a common enough diagnosis, that's a great skill to have on staff. read more

Simple, stay away from this place. I took my dog here for 13 years of his life, and they never had the answer to anything (unless you want to pay, still not guaranteed). We eventually had to put him down here (which they were good about), but still never had the solution to any of my dogs allergy and arthritis issues. My cat recently had heart failure and we had to take her to the vet quick, made the mistake of going here first and not the animal hospital (which is where we went after this placed had no solution). They immediately wanted to put her down, only gave 30 minutes for the medicine to start working, how reassuring. We took this cat here about a year prior and they gave us no indication about heart failure being a possibility due to my cats size and heart murmur. Let me save you the time, money, and life. GO SOMEWHERE THAT CARES. If your animal needs euthanized, this is the place for you. read more

They kicked my animal out ; and never came up with a diagnosis. Office manager said he wouldn't make it through the night and she didn't want to go to work the next day and deal with a dead cat ! Diagnosed him with diabetes then told me he didn't have diabetes the next morning . Said maybe an infection ? Claims they gave him an antibiotic but when I called in they say he didn't get an oral antibiotic ..... then supposedly that the doctor did but didn't put it on his chart ? They told me that they stopped treating him due to my funds ; so they are letting my cat die and kicked him out instead of letting him stay for 3 days until I could pay more . Countryside animal hospital took him with no issues and are now giving him the care he deserves . read more

Who would of thought that pets would like to go to the vet? Well mine do and it's because of the wonderful staff, service, and atmosphere at Animal Care Center in Fairfield. The hours are impressive as well as the services they offer there. My dogs and cat are especially fond of Dr. Wendy - she is amazing! This animal care center does a great job of not only treating pets but also providing knowledge and support to pet families. We are so fortunate that this care center is so close to our home- but even if it wasn't, I would still make the drive to ensure the best care and attention for my pets. Keep up the great work! I love Dr. Wendy. She's always paid close attention to my "problem" cat with allergies, and when my kitty had an eye problem she couldn't diagnose she got me in to see a specialist the same day, and even called to check on her after the surgery with the specialist. The few times Dr. Wendy hadn't been available when I had an issue, the other vets were equally attentive and kind. read more

If I had the option to pull all 5 of my animals off their wellness plans, I wouldn't hesitate. The vets are great, which is the only reason I continue to stay, other than being locked into a year long contract. The receptionists always act as though you're inconveniencing them! The wellness plans were not explained at all, just given a packet and 'give me your money' kind of attitude. But this place is so unbelievably disorganized it's almost pathetic. First of all, they got my two kittens names wrong, even when I wrote them down on their sheet their first visit, they continued to call them by their descriptions - "black" & "siamese". Also, even after calling to fix this issue and make sure they knew it was my dog coming in the next day, I received a phone call 20 minutes later to confirm my appointment for "siamese". First of all, it's my dog Aurora who had an appointment so not even the same species AND I had just called to fix this issue! Not even one day later (today) I received a phone call about my cat Tesla (finally the name is corrected) needing an updated shot. First of all, I already had an appointment set up for both of the kittens booster shots which I was told cannot happen less than 3 weeks after their first set of shots - so I made the appointment 4 weeks after the initial set of shots. But they completely left off the other kitten off the appointment! Why?! Disorganization. I have an appointment for my dog today, we'll see how this goes. read more

Stay away! Dishonest front desk staff. I selected this clinic because they were listed in the Pet Assure network and they could do a same-day appointment. Pet Assure promises 25% off Office Visits & Exams and Vaccines & Shots, and any other medical service and procedure!, "they will give you 25% off your bill, no questions asked." I phoned the clinic yesterday to get the pricing, and didn't ask about the Pet Assure program until after I got their regular pricing, and this is not a Pet Assure complaint. I was quoted an office visit price of $40. I was presented with a bill for over $400, when I asked about the discount they looked at the itemized bill and said it was "already included", a lie from the start. I paid the bill (kids were running around in the lobby, and my pup was getting excited), so I went to my car and read the itemized bill. Although I was quoted a $40 price for an office visit, I was charged $42.19 (perhaps the gal I spoke with the day before meant $42 or approx. $40). Clearly there was no 25% discount (why would they even say that the discount was "built in", couldn't they see that it was full price? They refunded me $10.55. If I hadn't called the day before I never would have known they lied and over-charged. However, they cheated me out of another $35.79, refusing to honor the Pet Assure discount. They should have discounted all services provided in the clinic, including the injections, sample collection preparation, and ear swab (total of $143.18); again the front desk personnel said the "ear swab"(where they put samples on glass slides) wasn't considered a "lab", well then it should have been considered an "exam". They said the injections were "medicine" and wouldn't discount that either, even though Pet assure says "shots" are included, but take-home meds are not. NOTE: When I agreed to "lab work", I expected a CBC, but an "Organ Function Profile" was also billed for, total $116.54. This blood work is sent to an outside lab, so it wasn't discount-able. Also, in the past I've never paid over $40 for the Convenia injection; this clinic charged $79.49. And, in case you're adding this up, there were take-home meds of $96.85, not discountable, and a medical waste fee of $2.50. I contacted Pet Assure, and they agreed that at a minimum the shots and any other services should have been included in the discount; they are attempting to contact the clinic. How was the vet visit? Well, if the front desk personnel are dishonest, there are other vets. I am thankful this was not an "emergency" visit, dealing with that emotion, and having to deal with dishonest staff. read more

When the "Vet" doesn't even pay attention to your dog and even seems 'annoyed' by it- you know you are in the wrong place.

I started out liking the staff and location. I was told that using the program where you pay $38 a month would be most beneficial got cost. We had a just gotten our 1 yr old husky that was just brand new to vets. He needed shots and to be neutered. This was to be included in the plan we were paying for but when we picked him up there was a $170 bill. They charged us for the IV and cone and other things. Ok. Everytime there seem to be extra cost we didn't know about. About half way thru the year that we had to pay for plan my husband had surgery we missed couple paymnts. I made up 1 of them and the other they said they wld add to our year term making it 1 month longer. Great! But as we neared towards the last few months I was told i had to make my monthly paymnt plus the one payment they had promised to add on at end of term. I told them I couldn't and why all the sudden would they change the arrangement and the manager said that the financial person is now insisting on paying that one $38 pymnt now. To me this is a breech in a verbal agreement we had and I just could not wrap my head around why they would do this to us. ESPECIALLY with it being maybe 2 or 3 months b4 the year was paid off. So I refused and stopped using them. I since got a bill for $469!!! Not the 3 payments of $38 left but 5x that amount! MY ADVICE DO NOT USE THEM. THEY BREAK THEIR WORD and CHARGE YOU FOR THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT. read more

Expect to pay a LOT! The facilities are nice and clean - and the staff do a great job....but be careful! They try to nickel and dime you for everything and are not honest about their prices. My main issue is that they do whatever they want without asking first, and then expect you to pay for it later. We went in to just get shots for our two dogs and one cat. They ended up doing blood work on all three, without asking, and then expected us to pay over $700! When we refused to pay for the blood work, they tried to make us feel bad for not giving our pets the best possible care (even though they are all healthy animals). I have had pets my whole life and I have never had to pay this much at a vet's office before. They seem to just care about the money - not about the customer. read more

The vets have no idea what they're doing. The first time I went it was awesome so much so that I signed up for puppy insurance (30$) a month. every time I've went after that I've ended up having to take my puppy to the ER from something they did or advice they've given and I stupidly have taken. I will go there no longer. They can have my 30 a month until I can cancel it. I'll pay them 600 a month to never have to step foot in that place. I'll take my money somewhere else to vets who actually care. Can I tell you in the 3 visits I've went there with a 6 month old puppy (Now), they never even took his temperature.... or listened to his heart.... or took any vitals at all. This place is disorganized and the receptionists act like your bothering them as soon as you walk in the door. The doctors are ok. Know what their doing but are so busy, they can't explain much to you. They want to get in and get out. The girl who explained about the after care of our dog after surgery kept giggling after I asked a question. Not sure if she thought they were dumb questions or just nervous but either way it was kinda annoying and not necessary. We won't be coming back. O and lastly, their outrageous. They tried to charge me almost $300 for a check up and 2 shots for our goldendoodle. Was about $130!at our old vet. Save yourself the hassle of just being another face in this place. The vets and staff seem nice and knowledgeable. We recently signed up for the monthly plan because it claims to cover tons of items that most pets need. We specifically spoke to the vet and a vet assistant about getting our dog neutered and they recommended the monthly plan because it would cover it! We thought it sounded too good to be true 40 a month for a year and a 40 sign up fee. It was too good to be true.... we took our dog to get neutered only to find out we owed the vet almost 150 after our "covered" plan. Outrageous considering most vets will neuter the dog for 200 or 250 flat. As we thought it's all a big trick because medicine, anesthesia, the cone and other random things were not covered and the neuter uncovered at all would have cost 350! Are you kidding me?!?! We were misled and I am extremely disappointed and upset because you would think after paying almost 550 for the year in plans certain things wouldn't cost hundreds more. As much as we like this vet once our year is up we will be more careful where we go next. When I showed them my frustration and asked questions they just blew me off and showed me the bill and acted like I should have known. This is the last place I would take a pet. My first experience was in Sept 2019 when my cat was acting like he was having issues peeing. I took him to see vet..Dr Jay.. who never picked him up or even touched him and gave him a prescription. The next day Marvin..my darling 1 year old cat was still acting lethargic so we took him back. At this point they told us he needed to be admitted so it was in our best interest to buy the gold package or so we were told. I bought it and went home leaving my cat to be tended to only to receive a call saying we needed to get to the clinic because Marvin was going to be put down. Heart broken we lost our baby with no good explanation. Oh the story doesn't end here. I adopted another kitty, Maxwell. They transferred this Gold program to him and gave him booster shots. Max is a sneezer so I told vet..the vet told me not to worry. Max's sneezing was out of control so I took him back and we did get him nose drops that helps. Yet today I took Max in to get what I was told free nail trimming with this plan only to be told it was costing me 15.99 ..seems like the free nail trim was a one time offer. Well I complained about the charge and the office manager canceled my agreement before the contract is up. So now live paid well over $400 dollars and my cat had not had the promised screening and dental cleaning. In fact the office manager came out and told me , " We will not be accepting Max as a patient anymore." As far as I can tell I am owed a full refund of the services I paid for but what really matters is that you decide if you want to use a Veterinarian practice that you don't choose this business..they are in the business of taking your money not taking care of your pet. read more

Great place! Great service! Caring, compassionate staff! I love that they have weekend hours and can usually get my pet in for an appointment on late notice if needed. I've also boarded my dogs with them and love that they can tell me some funny stories about them on their stay at the Animal Care Center. Will go back again and again. read more

Our German Shepherd had been seen twice at Animal Care Blue Ash in the past 2 weeks. She had been lethargic, not eating, peeing only when she laid down. A UTI had been ruled out. On our 3rd visit, Dr. Amanda did an X-ray and said that there was either a mass in Sadies abdomen or her spleen was enlarged and she needed an Ultrasound. So I took her to Dr. Wendy out at their Fairfield location. Dr. Wendy did the U/S and her findings were life threatening. Sadie had a mass on her spleen and an abdominal cavity full of blood and that she would need surgery. I asked if I could take her back to Blue Ash to Dr. Sarah, who is her regular vet. Dr. Wendy said that waiting until the next morning wasn't good. So after hours, she did surgery on Sadie. Dr. Wendy and her staff saved our dogs' life. For that we are very grateful. We have our old dog back! read more

How to keep it brief...... Read the other one star reviews and that's pretty much our same scenario ver batim!!! We have two dogs that have gone there for the last 4 years. Records, shots, exam visits ALWAYS jacked up(thankfully, we keep receipts). Would leave office after getting their shots and then 2 weeks later get notification that one of the dogs was past due on shots (mind you, they were both on the same schedule). The straw that broke the camels back. In this past Friday. Wanted to charge us over $400 for shots and blood work. Told us the dogs had not been seen since 2016! Dogs were just in for shots and blood work in May 2017(got a receipt to prove it!!!) They were still adamant dogs had not been seen. At this point, we were very concerned that our dogs have been over vaccinated?!?!?! Who really knows at this point. When my husband asked for our dogs records, lets just not even begin to go there. Husband had to threaten them with a subpoena. DONE DONE DONE! read more
