My new puppy we rescued was bit by the pit next door. Was seen as an emergency but left without treatment because they would not let my husband pay by credit card over the phone. Something that we had been allowed to do in the past several times when urgent issues had come up. They were extremely rude, unsympathetic, and combative. I was just trying to be a good dog owner and have her treated for her injuries. read more

The veterinarian themselves are pretty good . Staff on the other hand are terrible . TLC refuse to send prescription to chewy . Told me that if they had it in stock I was supposed to buy it from them . They are a medical facility for animals . Why would they risk the health of an animal for profit on cat food !? read more

They rushed my dog into another room to give her her shots and check up which I had to pay extra for. I did so because she had a large lump on one of her breasts. The Vet? who rush into the room said she was fine, teeth needed to be brushed daily, then started to leave, i saI'd what about the lump? I was concerned that it had grown and become hard. He said it was fine nothing to worry about. When I paid the bill it was stamped with Dr Cable's name, who knows who I saw? Took her to a different vet who said it might be breast cancer and asked how fast it had grown, and what they thought it was. Well I had taken her there for shots and check ups for years, so I called to have them check their records. When I called I told receptionist that she had a large lump and nee to check the history of her records. She came back after awhile and said that the only mention was a large lump on my last visit. Does that sound like a medical term to you or something she repeated from me? Never again will I trust them. I have gone there for twenty years, but ownership has changed, don't trust them. read more

Went to the East location, off of Montgomery Road with our new puppy, a pomsky, today. The front desk lady seemed like she didn't want to be there. The vet was very much an a** and spoke to me like I was a two year old. The first time he came into the room he said there was no way our puppy was 5 months old. When I told him her birthday and told him she is a pomsky he asked what is that. When I told him it is a Pomeranian and a husky mix he said "oh that is why she is so small. I didn't know that was a breed." He also told me to feed this puppy 24/7. Also, told me that the rabies shot that was given to her by the breeder's vet was not valid because it wasn't given by a vet, I have a paper that says otherwise. The only reason I went to this vet was because we had a free visit from the place we got our puppy. We have a vet that is closer to home but wanted to take advantage of the free visit first. We will not be returning to this vet's office anytime soon. The two aides that helped the vet were very nice but the vet could sure use some lessons in people skills. read more

The doctors there are good, but the office management is not. I spent $240 cash on treatment for my dog. I have to get the prescriptions filled there because they don't script out. The bottle of antibiotic cost $35.00 and my dog was suppose to take it for 10 days. On day 4 the bottle spilled and only a day or two was left. I called TLC to inquire if I could get more at a discount price or if they could call it in else where. The office manager told me that I would have to pay another $35.00 for more. Now to me they either don't care if my dog gets the treatment or as good customer service they could have given me just a few more days worth of medication that my dog needs. I have two dogs that I take there and have been taking there for 6 years, but because of that I will be taking my dogs elsewhere. T.Darden read more

I've used TLC for boarding, vaccinations, and most recently for having my dog laid to rest. They were $100 less expensive to have my dog euthanized than the place that diagnosed him with osteosarcoma. Reflecting on that day, as difficult as it was, the vet was incredibly helpful and took time to talk to me for a while before we started the euthanasia process. I came in a complete mess, and left feeling some peace. I can't thank them enough for that, and I won't be trying any other vets anymore. RIP Nuba read more

I bought my cat here as a stray in 2016... this June he started vomiting so we brought him to this clinic where they diagnosed him with some mild kidney failure. They saw that my sister who brought him in Because I was out of town was 16 and manipulated her financially in our emotional state. He stayed the night and we were charged 2,000 dollars for his kidney surgery. They sent him home to us and we had high hopes! A few hours after he came home from his "surgery" his kidneys were STILL rock hard. His IV was removed FIVE minutes before pickup and they didn't care if he was healthy before they released him to us. He was a 4 year old healthy cat, they completely disregarded him and us, if he would have stayed on his IV, and they would have been more careful, he may have lived. We were outraged. Emailed them for 23 days straight, and they never responded until we threatened them with court. When we did so, theyBS'd medical records that were proven to be invalid. I have worked and shadowed for vets and groomers. This is a crime! read more

Called to report that my dog was having seizures from the time they opened until the time they closed ( 3 calls) and i couldnt even get a call back from anyone Obviously they arenot concerned about the safety and well being of the animals!! read more

I brought my cat here, he got neutered and declawed, he died two days later. The vets aren't doing anything about it! I've heard awful things about this place ever since I brought him there! They were all rude, and did not care that my cat passed away from them. They continue to fight to say they had nothing to do with the cats death. Do yourself a favor and don't go here. Dr Wright was amazing and took care of our dog on a Sunday morning. He was honest and didn't try to charge us for items we didn't truly need. After visiting two vets he seems to have diagnosed the issue finally and our dog is acting like himself finally. They also answered many questions over the phone and were very friendly! Two times I have gone up, 20 - 15 minutes before they close, with no appointment and they help every time. Once for for a torn dewclaw and once when I though my dog may be bleeding internally. They are nothing but nice and helpful. Dr. Wright stayed late and didn't even mind my over affectionate dog constantly trying to drown him in kisses as he was examining her. read more

This vet really came through for us last weekend. Our dog had not been feeling well for quite a while. He had some very weird stomach issues. Concurrently, he has had a chronic issue that no vet has really been able to diagnose for years. When we took Toby to TLC for stomach issues, not only did they help us through that, but Dr. Wright also gave us some very wise information on his chronic issue as well. All along we thought Toby's chronic issue was also stomach pain related, but Dr. Wright quickly realized that his pain was actually spine driven. Can't recommend this doctor enough. read more

We had been taking our pug to TLC for the last 2 years ever since she was 8 weeks old. In April, I took our beloved Molly in for X rays because they suspected hip dysplasia. An hour or so later, I got a call from vet saying that my baby was dead. Later research I did showed me that a vet clinic has to be very competent when giving small faced dogs like pugs general anesthesia. I can't prove it, but I am convinced that TLC gave her too much. I will never go back because a otherwise healthy 2 year old dog should be able to survive an X ray. read more

I had just found out about this Veterinary Hospital when they had the free rabies shots and $10 microchipping so I decided to give it a go. Well while I was there I decided to schedule an appointment for my 2 male dogs to be neutered. The day after they got neutered I went to pick them up and I was given one of my male dogs with his incision wide open! Because they didn't put cones on them right after the surgery, so he had to end up staying again to get redone. The second surgeon did a great job on him he double stitched him and everything. My other dog's incision became infected shortly after getting neutered, i also noticed he was covered in pee around his elbows and belly as if he peed and was laying in it. when I went to pick them up they said the $50 care package was optional and they failed to mention that my dog could become infected without the package. Since I didn't have the money for the care package I obviously didn't get them only to find out my dogs wound has become infected and they are trying to say its my fault for not buying the antibiotics. I am not very happy with my service here at all . I was amazed at how cheap The prices were but now I realize I guess you really get what you pay for. read more

This is the most uncaring staff and business I have EVER delt with. We had an appt. scheduled this morning to have our dog euthanized. When I called to set up the appt. I asked exactly how much it would be so we had enough money, I was told 92.00. My mother arrived with our dog and 100.00. She was told that they don"t make change and that she would need to go back down the road to UDF and get 8.00 change from them! She said no, that she wasn't dragging the dog back to the car and putting her through anymore stress. They refused to get her change or send someone to get change. So she left in tears. I just got off the phone with Raina (sp) the manager and she was the RUDEST person I've ever met. She said it"s not their responsibility to make change. I said that when someone asks for an exact price beforehand, they should mention that then. She said "nope, not our responsibility". I told her I wanted contact info. for someone above her and she flat out refused her words were "you're not gonna get it" and hung up!!! read more
