I once loved this vet, but now all that they seem to care about is money. Any vet can take care of your pet, but it seems like they always want to try expensive and or "new" technology to diagnose/treat. My last visit was a little over 15 minutes, cost 120..(70 of which was a prescription that I found same thing on chewy for 1/4 the cost) and it didn't even solve my dogs problem. I went to this vet after I had been raked over the coals at another vet. Prices are not cheap, but they aren't overly inflated either. They do offer animal "insurance" plans that you pay monthly for all well care and vaccines. I am particularly happy with the boarding. I have a high anxiety rescue dog and he goes happily. The staff is friendly, the facility is clean, and my fur babies are happy. read more

I have been to both the Fairfield and Blue Ash office (I moved from Fairfield to Evendale) and have found both locations to be wonderful. I had a need to call today to Fairfield and Mattie went over and beyond to assist me with a number of questions that I had concerning posting my new puppies ears; she was kind and patient the entire time. My goldendoodle loves the Blue Ash office and all the attention they give him! He darts away from me every time we go in to say hello to the staff. He loves being boarded there! read more

Blue Ash location is wonderful! I started off at the Animal Care Center in Fairfield, and I can't say I was impressed! When I was about to give up hope on the Animal Care Center locations, I decided to give the Blue Ash location a chance. Upon arrival you could truly tell a difference. The front desk staff if very friendly and caring. The building is very updated and I feel comfortable bringing my pet here for care. The staff (vet and techs) can't be beat. They are all very friendly and always willing to go the extra mile. Best part about this vet, is the price. The price can't be beat. Very affordable! read more

I registered on line for emergency for dog pooping blood just real lethargic. Company text me telling me to come in which I arrived at 12:30 pm on Sunday November 19,2023. I waited 2 hours then asked how much longer I have to wait. Lady from front desk said they have one more dog ahead of me. I asked " how long will it take to get to that dog". She said maybe half hour and we have another vet coming in at 3. So 2:30 came in asked again she said it should t be any longer so I took my dog outside to wait in the car. So 3:15 pm I called they left me on hold for 10 minutes and replied we have other patients that are needed triage. I replied " you said an other vet was coming in and you mean to tell me that all your vets are in triage?" She said your dog wasn't triage and the others come first. So I left with a dog pooping blood I mean liquid blood. So unless your dog is dying ran over can't walk they will not help. read more

Disgusting facility with terrible staff and no accountability I boarded my standard poodle here and he was disoriented when I picked him up- dehydrated it turned out!! I took his bedding with him and when they walked me out to the car with his bag and bed, the bed was saturated with urine I'm guessing g he was in that cage the entire time and forced to live in there with his own excrement Horrible place do t go here read more

The Animal Care Center has provided excellent care to both of my cats. One cat (Mia) dealt with diabetes for a year, and Dr. Amanda did a fantastic job of keeping on top of the disease and making sure Mia remained well. My other cat (Stella) suffers from occasional ear mites, and the ACC team treat her with the utmost care and respect whenever I bring her in. Also, the ACC offers an insurance program that makes getting shots and blood work affordable. read more

My dog is fully vaccinated and appears to have kennel cough after spending the week there last week. Taking him to the vet today to confirm. Update... That being said I've used the place before and never had a problem. The vet said it's just one of those things that happens sometimes. Kind of like kids getting sick at daycare no matter how nice the daycare is. read more

Vet services ok but will never again board our dog and cat. We had them there over Labor Day weekend while we flew out of town for a wedding. They called to tell us our cat was vomiting and having bloody stool. I started asking questions about how she would be monitored and, lo and behold, they only had techs coming one a day for a few hours in the morning because it was a holiday weekend. The animals were only getting fed and taken out for bathroom once in a 24-hour period! I was furious, asked how they could call this boarding (and charge for such) since no one would be there.? What if the place caught on fire? We called a friend who picked up our pets the same day. Our cat was traumatized and has since lost weight and has difficulty eating. Never again would I board them there, they would better off at home in their crates if necessary. read more

You know, I really wanted to like this place. It's close to home, the vet was a perfectly likable person, rates were similar to other places. However, after years of bringing my dogs there, there were just lots of instances of misdiagnoses and failed to diagnosis! I know because I had to take my dog to a specialist before I realized they diagnosed her wrong. I don't know if it's the (lack of) technology they have or what but there just got to be too many disappointing visits. I now have found a vet thAt is wonderful who owns her own business and we are having great experiences. read more

We moved here 4 years ago and I started out with another vet for my little highly allergic yorkshire terrier, Bogie. When he had a severe attack on a Thursday the vet said they could see him on the following Monday. What??? I called ACC and they saw him immediately. I've been going there ever since and couldn't be happier. Trust me when I say I am there almost every week (with one of my 3 dogs) and they never fail to give me an appointment when I need them. read more

Everyone was very nice. I've had my dog there three times now and only once have I felt like she was cared for the time she was there. The first time no one could tell me anything about her experience, the second time I was given a full report upon leaving and today there are still questions around what they did or didn't do for her. read more

Have boarded our pet here several times. Average rates, ample dog runs, 2 play times a day and food is provided. They also offer special treats or other services during boarding if you like. Vet on site. Only drawback is their limited hours on Sunday. read more

I took my newly adopted kitten here for his first visit because of an ASPCA referral. Staff was friendly, however the exam was less than thorough. Took him to a different vet today that I usually go to and found out he had a temperature. He was diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) and had to be put down. This is not curable virus and IS contagious. Animal Care Center did not take his temperature or answer my questions pertaining to why he had a bloated stomach (which is an advanced symptom of FIP). The doctor just told me he was "gassy" even though I said he was lethargic, had white gums, and just was not normal. I have another 6 month old kitten at home who was in contact with him for a week. Although he could not be treated, perhaps going the extra mile to examine him further would have prevented my other cat from being around him for that week. Now I must wait and see if he comes down with this fatal virus as well. Doc also said to me "well he's healthy for now" after I exclaimed that I was relieved he was sound at that moment. Just felt cold and unprofessional. Please avoid! read more

This place makes going to the vet not a chore. The place is bright, happy, and clean. Literally all of the staff are so sweet and polite and have answered all million and one of my questions; this is my first pet and I hadn't even been to a vet on my own before. Dr. Kim May is extremely helpful and the Healthy Pet Program is a simple, brilliant idea. My cat was a stray, unvaccinated and unfixed with no medical history (and is crazy!) but everyone there handled him with kindness and got him everything he needed and honestly saved me so much money. I cannot speak for the other locations of the Animal Care Center in Cincinnati, but the Reed Hartman location disappointed us greatly. Our little Westie died suddenly during a routine teeth cleaning in March. Though I do not feel that negligence was involved, I believe that a more experienced Vet would have not performed anesthesia on an elderly dog for a routine procedure. We also brought a second elderly mixed dog for an exam after she had a severe reaction to vaccinations performed by our old Vet. A few weeks later, we received a card from the Reed Hartman location saying that the same dog was due for vaccinations!! Had my wife and I not known better, we could have lost our second pet as well. I contacted the main office in Fairfield immediately and, in all fairness, the manager there kindly refunded some of their fees and paid for the cremation of our little Westie...but the Reed Hartman office person complied only reluctantly with the cremation and, at first, insisted to my wife in a brusque manner that the offer had never been made. This was an extremely painful and disappointing experience for us. read more

After very upsetting encounters at my previous vet, I am so fortunate to have found this place. Not only do they have an amazing wellness plan that saves you hundreds of dollars, but their vets are incredible. They truly take care of your pet as if it was their own. Dr. Sarah has been so good to my cats and I. She has stayed late, along with the rest of the staff, in snow blizzards just to see my cat because he's sneezed a few times lol! They do everything they can to make sure your pet is healthy. It's really nice to go to a vet who also has cats, since I feel a lot of vets are dog-biased. I love the people, the service is very good. I actually love and prefer all the techs there. They have made me feel important and that my cat is cared for. However the business model is disappointing. They charge you $$$ for your yearly plan, that was fine and seemed like a deal. However, once you need meds or supplies for your animal they "promise lowest prices" but charge 3x what other places charge. Love the people, don't love the business model. read more

I have boarded my dog there three times and this past time will be my last. I know this is insignificant in the grand scheme of things, but they have had my last name spelled wrong the entire time I've been taking him there despite me telling the receptionist every time how to spell it. Secondly, they require a flu shot for my dog to board there....I honestly thought that was a joke because I have never heard of that nor have I known anyone to give their dog a flu shot. The last straw though was when I picked my dog up on Monday and noticed he was COVERED in fleas. I called them back to tell them and she flat out denied he got it there despite him not having any contact with other dogs since returning home. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, however, I just looked at the bed I took there and it had so many fleas I had to throw it away. I am so disgusted and disappointed in the care given there. I hope if you are on the fence about this place you decide to bring your sweet baby somewhere else. read more
