I take my dog in for her nail trim and was shocked when paying the bill for $50.50 . Apparently they are now charging an extra $24.00 for the technician appt and $26.50 for the nail trim. I will not be going back. They can take that money and shove it. read more

I can not believe how bad things have gotten here. Everytime you call the answering machine says closed even if it during their posted open hours. If are lucky enough to get someone to answer the phone they are unable to perform basic tasks, like emailing or facing records. They are unable to even locate your account or pets information. read more

I recently lost my 13-year-old dog that had been a very close family member. This office has taken care of not only this dog but several before this one. The care they have given my pets has certainly been "Extraordinaire". I cannot say enough good things about, not only the DVM's but their entire staff. The last one was named Ginger, and they tried in every way to help her and comfort her when they knew nothing was going to help. I was able to hold her at the end and that meant the world to me. They were both very professional and compassionate. I would never hesitate to take any future pets to them, and I highly recommend their office to anyone in need of a veterinarian. read more

Once Dr Ball left this place went downhill fast, They way over charge for every thing! Showed no care when my dog passed away not even a sorry. Had me wait in a back room for over an hour and half with dogs crying in the back ground the whole time. Never saw a vet but a helper. Took my two dogs there for years. Every time I called was told to go to the emergency clinic? My last visit I was very angry and said I was done with that place and they did not care at all!! I found Dr Diamond nice, but he kept pushing the trainers & behaviorist because my poodle puppy was so excited on my 1st visit. On my 2nd visit just for an injection he needed, they gave me an estimate for well over $200. I questioned why they added an injection (which was not due for several months), also wanted to charge annual exam (I pointed out we were there 2 mo. before). We got 1 injection & got the heck out of there. FYI: 2 mo. later we went to Emergency hosp with my poodle, he had multiple tests, plus medication & the bill about the same as one they tried to give me at Pet Extrod. This clinic dragged me through useless procedures and over $1000 worth of expenses for my cat, who wound up paralyzed and then had to be put to sleep. They never properly diagnosed her and later I discovered in a veterinary journal that she likely had a relatively common peritoneal infection. They seemed all concerned, asked if I wanted her cremated and when I said yes waited two days, called me and demanded over $300 or no go. I have nothing good to say about them. I have 4 furry family members who love Dr. Diamond! Let me just say that we've tried no less than 5 different veterinarians in the last 10 years before finding Animal Care Extraordinaire. A friend referred me to the Stuart office after I had problems getting a proper diagnosis for one of my pets at my previous vet. Dr. Diamond was very encouraging and quickly found out what the issue was with my little girl. He outlined all my options but encourage an innovative course of treatment that has d greatly improved the quality of my pet's life. Her tumor is now in remission! Another very convenient thing is being able to schedule my pet's appointments at either location. While my initial visits where in Stuart, I often use the Jensen Beach office. read more

AMAZING customer service!!! My poor baby Gauge(well not so much baby, he's 12) a black lab mix rescue is very sick and the staff here are just so caring!!! Even though my poor baby had cancer and couldn't be saved. Even after he was gone STILL caring. They even asked me if I would like for them to sit with me for a while for comfort or if I needed a hug. Honestly caring beyond belief. Not just money to them. They even offered to keep my baby there till the next day so I would have time to grieve before having to take him back home to set him to rest. If you care about your animal you will NEVER bring them here!! The staff is the worst. They constantly put you on hold when calling and they don't seem to know what they are doing. My animal had surgery and wasn't given the proper care that was needed. I was told it would require a 1 night stay and it wound up being 3 nights. Not even a full 24 hours later I had to take my animal to another office and spend almost what I paid for the surgery to get the proper care needed. Once released, they never called for a follow up to see how my animal was doing and when I called and explained what happened they said they spoke to the other office I took my animal to. Save yourself the money and headache and NEVER bring your animal here!! read more

They saved my 10 year old Pomeranian's life! I brought her into another hospital where they misdiagnosed her. For days I was left with no answers or a proper diagnoses and she was getting progressively worse. Until I went with my gut and brought her in to animal care extraordinaire. They gave me the first available appointment with DR. Ball and I am so glad we went because he performed the life saving surgery she needed the same day. Just another quick note on this veterinarian....you must have "deep pockets" as all procedures and medicines are very expensive here. That being said, if you need support, via phone, Dr. Diamond promptly returns your call. Worth the extra money paid! Update.... We eventually needed to euthanize our precious dog and would like to compliment Dr. Diamond and his staff on their professionalism. Dr. Diamond made us feel comfortable and explained the process well. We also found out that he has sold this business and will be staying only for a short period of time. So , if you use this vet, ask for Dr. Diamond while he is still working there. We had another experience with the female vet that was horrible......cold and no regard for our feelings. We will be severing our relationship with this vet due to the actions of the rest of the staff and their treatment of us when we had to euthanize our 15 year old dog that was in severe pain. The experience was negative to begin with and the other vet and staff that work here made it worse. read more

This is an incredible vets office. I moved to Stuart a year ago and started taking my 11 year old chow mix, Reagan, there for preventative care. Both Dr. Ball and Dr. Diamond are incredible and were great with her. I couldn't say enough positive things. My dog definitely had white coat syndrome and they were patient with her. Unfortunately, I lost my dog a couple weeks ago to cancer. Dr. Diamond and Dr. Ball helped make the diagnosis over a couple appointments where I noticed she wasn't acting normal. She later was in obvious pain so I made the hard decision to put my girl to sleep. The doctors were kind and supportive. One staff member there, Tira, is awesome and really stood out. Multiple times during hard procedures to watch she just came and hugged me, usually while I was crying, without me seeking it out. Truly like an old friend would do without saying anything. She obviously cares so much and her deep level of care and concern for pets and people she doesn't even know was very impressive and comforting. With all that said, your pet will be in great hands with this office. I took a shot with them and I am glad I found them. read more

I moved to a Palm City approx a year ago and started bringing my Wheaton terrier and schnoodle here. I am so happy with Dr Diamond. Not only does he take the time to explain everything, he was able to help my Wheaton with her ear infections, that have plagued her most of her life. I would reccommend Dr Diamond highly. I take my 11 year old shih tzu, Brutus to Dr. wood for acupuncture. He is very patient and gentle with him ( and me). We moved to PSL in july 2012 and went to 2 other places before finding Dr. Wood. We didn't like their approach to treatment, so we kept looking. Brutus has a number of things wrong with his health, but you wouldn't know it interacting with him. Dr. wood has been very helpful with recommending a holistic approach, acupuncture and herbs. He does get heartmedication, but our goal is to prolong his active life as naturally as possible. I am not a fan of steroids, rimadyl, even metacam if it is given every day. i believe that they actually shorten your pets life and the potential side effects can have dire impact on your pets quality of life. Dr. Wood takes the time to give his best advice and I can appreciate that. I would drive hours for the right vet, but luckily I don't have to:) We have 2 other shih tzus, Bijou, 31/2 year old & Boelle, 1 year old and now Dr. Wood is their vet too. We had called ahead to book an emergency appointment while traveling from Key West to Orlando. Dr Fourquet saw us on Sunday and she and Dr Ball took special care of our 17 year old Bichon on Monday. Our Dr. was L. Fourquet, She was amazing with our pet. We came short notice 12/3/17 the front staff was friendly and they were able to get us in to see our Cat last minute. The office visit was wayyyyy more compared to the Banfield PET HOSPITAL. We paid $65 the first time for the Office Visit had to come back b/c in the visit the Dr discovered she had intestinal parasite, ear infection and an upper respiratory infection. And she would need to do a fecal test & ear exam to verify what type of intestinal parasite she had and to confirm if she had an ear infection she told us this was normal for rescue/shelter cats. Due to the unexpected cost of having to pay $250 we had to reschedule at a more financially convenient time. We were told we could pay for the office visit and we would need to reschedule for further treatment. 12/9/17 we were greeted by front staff very friendly, this visit we did not see the Dr. She was there I guess she was overbooked b/c she accidently came in our patient room, as she explained to us. She then greeted us and quickly left, instead the tech assisted in care. Although she...the Tech was friendly unfortunately she was not knowledgeable about our previous visit she exposed in our cats chart they made a note we were not able to afford care, she wanted us to pay again for an office visit, she was unable to administer medicine properly to our cat it was spilled everywhere, she was unable to do the fecal exam correct the first time and explained she would need to attempt again, she took the parasite sample from our cat that she saw on her fur and examined it explained it was a tapeworm and she would administer the pill and would match the price with the other medicine they were initially going to prescribe and that we would still need to give her the remaining medecine (Nemex) at home, 2 weeks worth, the RX was also spelled wrong so we had a difficult time looking up the medication online(we were not sent home with RX information about the medication like what it does and it's RX use history...etc. We did get dosage information and what the medication is used for which said on their round/hookworm...or of the prognosis/and or information such as an examination report for home care, just a bill/statement) . We were requested to f/u in 2 weeks. on 12/16/17 I called to find out how long it would take for the tapeworm to go away due to us still seeing segments. I was told we would receive a call back. We never received a call... I called again 1/6/18 b/c I saw the segments from my cat again on her fur and I was told that sometimes it takes more rounds of the medication for them to go away and that she would call me back with an RX. We went to the Banfield PET HOSPITAL in JUPITER 1/7/18. They were AMAZINGGGGGGGG 5 STARSSS. That same day later on Animal Care Extraordinaire called, she spoke to my wife and explained they in fact never did administer tapeworm medication to our cat and they were in the process of getting the RX ready. At that point I informed them we had taken our pet elsewhere for treatment and we were provided with wayyyyyyyyyy more information. So that's why I can only give them a 2 star rating even though the Dr. was great with our cat and she did successfully diagnose and treat her upper respiratory and ear infection she dropped the ball in some other areas, her Tech as well. -The Byrds xoxo read more

They have been our vet for the past 2 years. They are very caring and go above and beyond. We rescued a kitty that was a week old and they had us bring him in to show us how to care for him; feeding, teaching him to go to the bathroom, etc.... at no charge. The same cat has been a healthy happy cat until now when he developed a bladder disorder which he is currently being treated for. What I like is no matter how busy they are Dr. Diamond and his staff always take the time to explain things to the fullest and make sure you are comfortable and your questions are answered. We have had different kinds of appointments from annual check ups, teeth cleaning, illnesses and injuries.... they care and they always follow-up with a phone call to make sure your pet is doing well and see if you have any questions.
