Dr. Weldon saved my Blue Heeler from losing any teeth from a broken jaw. It was terrible, his lower right jaw bone was completely broken and the right side was hanging down. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff was friendly and the veterinarian appeared experienced and knowledgeable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Dental care is all they do so I have no reason to believe they are not experts. I do take issue with their marketing scheme. They real you in with a lowball cleaning price, even offering half off exams. I was told it was going to be around $700 for the cleaning service via email. That was $400 cheaper than my regular vet had quoted, so I booked the service. Once you are there in front of a tech, they hit you with range of fees. I was still under the impression it was going to be cheaper than my regular vet so I booked the cleaning for the very next day. Once my dog was under anesthesia, they called and hit me with all the extra teeth they needed to pull out, otherwise the cleaning would just be cosmetic. Well, what are you supposed to say at that point once your pet is already under. My issue is that they get you and your pet into the most vulnerable position and then they hit you with all the extra fees that you really can't say no to. I ended up paying more than my regular vet quoted me and left feeling a bit sour by their non-straight forward pricing scheme. I'm not saying don't use them, but plan to pay at least $500 more than their teaser quotes. read more

If you're considering this clinic, think twice. We initially chose this clinic based on its positive reviews, but our experience turned out to be very very different. We brought our dog here about a year ago for dental work and extractions. Within a year, a oral mass developed in the same area. I can't say there is a direct connection, but it raises concerns and questions. I can't help but wonder whether other pet owners have experienced something similar at this clinic, such as abnormal masses developing after cleaning or dental work at this dental clinic. More concerning ...... [[HIGHLIGHT]]A pre-surgery blood test showed abnormal findings (monocytes = 0, "unidentified cells" and others), yet we were only informed of these results less than 12 hours before the scheduled surgery, even though the report was dated several days earlier.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were told over the phone that this could mean cancer cells shedding from the oral mass and entering the bloodstream, and we were strongly encouraged and felt pressured to proceed with surgery the very next day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Given the timing and urgency, this was extremely stressful and concerning. However, this statement lacks clear medical grounding (detecting circulating cancer cells from a solid tumor is not something typically determined from standard bloodwork) and is not supported by the pathology report. A well-trained doctor should not make statements like this. This experience raised serious concerns for us about communication, judgment, and whether our pet's best interest was the top priority. [[HIGHLIGHT]]At the same time, when we questioned the abnormal result, we were told it "doesn't matter" and that surgery could proceed anyway. Both the doctor and the medical director continued to push us to move forward with surgery the very next day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It felt contradictory and alarming, if the result was serious enough to justify urgent surgery, how could it suddenly not matter? We declined at that time and pursued further testing elsewhere. Repeat bloodwork done shortly after came back normal and was consistent with our dog's prior baseline results from other clinics. In contrast, the report issued by Animal Dental Clinic was significantly different, raising serious concerns about the reliability and interpretation of the original test. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This experience was incredibly stressful and alarming. Being told and provided conflicting information while feeling pressured into surgery made it difficult to trust the guidance we were given.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No pet owner should have to go through that when making important medical decisions. I was just in animal dental waiting for an appointment for my dog Tanner. We've come here a few times and I love coming to a place that just focuses on the mouth. I overheard a conversation explaining the cost to somebody on the phone and I thought oh my gosh that's probably scary. I have been bringing my dogs to a pet dental place since they were babies order to prevent the problems that decay and broken teeth can cause for them, not only pain, but it can hurt their hearts and other things to have infection going through their body. It does cost a lot, but it's actually cheaper than going to your main vet who doesn't have the skills that they have here. Depending on the age of the animal, the first visit does need bloodwork to make sure they're OK to be put to sleep and you meet the doctor. And I thought it was a few hundred dollars. Then you come back and it could be $700 or more if there's extractions. I have MetLife pet insurance for both my dogs and it pays for dental. After a deductible. You might think about getting insurance that when they are puppies and before you start seeing a pet dentist. I understand not everybody can afford this, which is I sad for animals who could potentially be suffering. Hope this helps. read more

I am sure the doctor (also the owner) has had some success, just as she has had some failures given by some negative reviews. My experience with her was a failure and she seemed uncomfortable with me asking questions as I received new information from her and her team. This was to help guide my decision making. My pet Luna was dropped as a patient, 1-day post-surgery and before we know if the mass cut out of her tongue was cancerous or not. I was to get the results in 7 days, but she wished Luna and I best of luck and asked us to go to an er or other vet for follow-up treatment, despite me telling her that I would have to pay new fees for any follow-ups by a new doctor. Unfortunately, this did not seem to be a concern to her. I should have followed a review here where someone mentioned loss of their pet during a routine cleaning. I feel their pain, loss and sorrow as I try to find a new vet for Luna. I also just recently lost Luna's brother who has been missing since Dec 6th and every day that goes by is a day I lose hope. Dealing with that and the ever-growing concerns for Luna who had multiple teeth extracted, has been nothing short of stressful. For anyone that does not have pet insurance, maxed out credit cards, you can understand the concerns of learning that your pet needs a lot more than you were initially led to believe. The ever-changing treatment plan and her inability to recognize my concerns about that and about "some" of her staff's callous responses is disturbing to say the least. Looking back, I really should have just followed through with picking up my pet which I initially asked to do, before later being told she had a mass under her tongue. A key piece of information that was so poorly delivered by her staff. I get that she may have been with another pet, but I actually tried begging the staff to get me off the call so I can wait for the doctor to find out more as it was rather uncomfortable. The staff member kept ignoring my requests and instead was focused on pushing for a decision whether or not to wake up Luna. After a frustrating 20 minutes of this unpleasant back and forth, the doctor finally came on the line to explain it. Adding a new couple hundred dollars to the bill for the mass removal. She told me that Luna was already under anesthesia and that the mass could be cancerous. That added fear and I opted to go along with Luna's surgeries as I care about my cat and the doctor kept saying how much she loved animals, and their wellbeing was her priority. Which is why abandoning Luna post-surgery was nothing short of a surprise let-down. This is my experience, yours may be different. Doctors do patients a disservice when asking questions or refusing to be turned to the same staff that were rude, has consequences that include canceling the pet's post-surgery follow-up. I was concerned for my cat and what seemed to be a tendency to upsell. $2575.55 total paid out, I felt nickel and dimmed to where it left me wondering if the money was more important. One cannot help but then start to question just how much of what is later recommended, truly needed. I want to believe that there is good in the doctor, and I do not doubt that she has helped many. Too bad that my and Luna's experience was different and, in the end, the person that suffers the most is the pet. Ask questions and capture items discussed in initial consultation. Additionally spot any upselling attempts sooner than later, especially in the case where you have to go to a different doctor to complete treatment as I did. That could cost you, as it is costing me. read more

I was recommended this place by loving family animal hospital (also a truly fantastic place), and these people are some of the kindest, sweetest most genuinely loving people I've ever met! Not only were these amazing humans willing to help me and my buddy Artemis in his time of need but they truly truly cared!! They followed up pre surgery to confirm appointments every single time, they informed me of what was going to happen and gave me multiple options, called during surgery to let me know what was happening and that he was okay and worked out a plan for me to be really successful. I was driving through the shopping center and I saw this business. I immediately called as I was curious about a location only focusing on dental cleaning for animals. I called and received a warm welcoming on the other side. Amy answered all my questions and helped me set up an appointment for my dog. There are certain days where they only see new patients/consultations. It's great, the doctor isn't rushing in between patients and takes her time listening. My dogs needs and my concerns were addressed. She listened to every single detail I mentioned about my dog being anxious, having his eyes covered when doing any blood work, etc. Dr.Weldon and the rest of the team took my breath. The attention to detail and care was phenomenal. The overall price of the cleaning is quoted at a low end, and high end. They communicate about everything during the procedure. The staff here is very friendly and knowledgable, and after the initial exam I felt confident that my dog would be in a good hands. Dr Weldon and her staff are incredible kind and accommodating. I am VERY pregnant and took my cat there for a dental cleaning. She barely opened my cats mouth and looked shocked and prepared me for what she was about to say- my 4 year old cat needed all of her teeth removed. I used to have a dog that had black markings in his mouth. My cat is an all black cat so I thought it was a similar situation. NOPE! All that black was decay and rot. The before and after pics were unreal. She gave me a quote closer to $2k but we're very helpful with submitting a claim to my pet insurance for me. I was skeptical that my already incredibly loving and sweet kitty could possibly be in that much pain that she would still somehow have more love to give after this whole ordeal was over. Boy was I wrong. She must have been in lots of pain cause somehow, now she's even MORE loving and cuddly! I never noticed that she wouldn't come downstairs very much. Her litter box and food are upstairs so I thought that was her domain. Wrong again! She's downstairs with us all the time now, hangs out in my dogs crate when the dog isn't in it. Wants to sleep in my neck crease at night lol. It's ridiculous. I feel so bad that she was in pain for so long but I didn't know! She's now 2 weeks post-op and doing wonderful, as I described. I used to take her to another vet in the area for the last 17 yrs of her life and was told "she is just getting old" and that there was not a whole lot they could do but put her down when she got worse. This dental clinic is fantastic. They took such wonderful care of my dog. Everyone from the front desk, to the vet techs to Dr Weldon herself are amazing. This is the best place to take your pet for a teeth cleaning. They will work with anyone and it is alot more affordable than most vet clinics. They can also trim claws and offer additional services that are really helpful and not to expensive. My dog has von willebrand disease which is a blood clotting disorder and most vets would not clean his teeth because of that but these guys did and were great with him.
