Everyone always hears horror stories about vets and the LAST thing an owner wants to do is worry about the people taking care of their animals health. I have never doubted, questioned or feared bringing my Dog here. In fact, I'm probably one of the few people who can say this, my dog LOVES coming to All About Paws. The entire staff (ESPECIALLY Front desk receptionists) are not only professional, knowledgeable and loving but it's very easy to see, that every single employee is genuinely compassionate about animals. Not only are they extremely accommodating but I love the transparency they display. They always take the time to explain the treatment they're doing, why they're doing it, the cost of everything and even text me beforehand, if they have to do something extra that would cost me. (THIS IS HUGE) The entire staff has treated my baby like their own and I don't feel like that's something you see often. I have no doubt I chose the right vet for my dog. WARNING DO NOT GO TO THIS VET !!! THEY GAVE MY DOG ANTI DEPRESSION PILL !! I have been going to this veterinarian clinic for the last six years (since 2016) for my 7 year old Goldendoodle. They are a bit pricey, but I thought this was the best treatment out so I didn't mind paying the higher prices for better quality treatment. I had the most unprofessional experience with DR KEITH I've ever had and here is why my dog will NEVER GO TO THIS VET EVER AGAIN. My dog recently started limping after a park visit, We weren't sure what it was. I figured I would give it 48 hours and see if it would go away on its own. It didn't. I called All about paws and let them know what was going on. I told them I would like an appointment to see what was happening with my dog. They told me due to their air condition being out, they are booking about five days out. This was STRIKE ONE. In what world do you turn down a patient because the air conditioner isn't working ???? Home Depot is a 12 minute drive away, you get some fans, you get an air condition and you find a way to take care of your patients no matter what. Anyway, I agreed to this appointment. Shortly after getting off the phone I realized A section on my dogs front right leg was bleeding and extremely Swollen and irritated. I immediately called them back and told them I had an emergency and needed to get my dog to a veterinarian now. They told me they can take him the following day with something they call " a drop off appointment ". This is where they leave him in a room OR a cage (I'm not sure) by himself, and a doctor sees him in between appointments. I really wasn't too thrilled about the idea of my dog sitting inside of a cage for 3.5 hours but I did not have a choice. My dog was familiar with their office and I didn't want to take him to a hospital and pay 1000+ dollar bill. (Now I wish I had) I dropped him off at 1030 am , they diagnose the situation. Prescribed him antibiotics ( cefpodoxime) and pain killers (carprofen). They called me at 1 PM about this diagnosis. When I asked if I could pick up my dog, they told me I would have to wait till two because everybody was at lunch. Strike 2. Get this, my injured dog has to sit inside of a cage In a EXTREMELY HOT OFFICE WITH NO WATER for an extra hour, because everyone in this entire veterinarian office went to lunch at the same time. Anyway, I go pick him up and take him home immediately. He drinks for about three minutes straight after being held for 3 1/2 hours with no water. I open the antibiotic ( cefpodoxime) and painkiller (carprofen) bottles and I noticed one pill has dirt on it and another pill looks very different. I take the pill to my local pharmacy and ask them what it is. They tell me it is an 100mg of a anti depressant called "trazodone" intended for humans to take. The pharmacist told me to let the veterinarian know of this mistake and never to go there again. This is obviously strike 3. I Think this is absolutely unacceptable. Thank God i realized how unprofessional they were so I opened the bottle and checked what they gave me. I suggest you stay clear of this veterinarian office. They should not be in business. And I have every intention of reporting them. read more

This is my second time here and both vets I've met are really nice! The techs are good as well. They're transparent about price and don't gouge you. They also write the day's pet names on a welcome board up front and it's super cute! It reminds me of what they do at luxury hotels. Everything is really clean too and there are no weird smells (from what I, a mere human, can detect). I will recommend this vet over and over and over. I have 2 dogs that go here and I couldn't be more happy. First, the receptionists are ALWAYS friendly and caring towards my dogs, let alone any other fur babies that go in there. I had to take my almost 2 year old boxer in the other day because of a lump on her neck. It was just a cyst, thankfully, but the assistant came in and sat down on the ground and gave my boxer lots of treats to calm her anxiety a little bit. They also listened to me when I said it's best for them if I go back with her and they agreed because of past experiences. Any other vet I've taken her too, they have made us separate. So I appreciated that. Secondly, I have another @9 year old Pomchi. I took her in a couple months ago and they showed the SAME respect and sympathy for her anxiety as well. Both theses dogs' have troubled stories unfortunately. Last but not least, when I took my boxer in the other day. Since they saw how she is they said for any future issues we can take a picture (if it's external) and email it to them and they will let us know if we should bring her in or not so she doesn't have to get anxious for no reason. That same day I also had a question before we left about our Pomchi and about her possibly have having " Doggy Dementia " and the vet answered in detail and then proceeded to send me a few links about it and how to help. I think that's HUGE for an office to do because most I feel would try to charge you for such simple input and/or make you set up a separate appointment for them to answer questions. I can't express enough how happy I am with this place. Also, they do this thing called a "happy visit" for pets who tend to have bad anxiety and issues with vet offices where they just sit down with you and your pet and give them treats and pets for 30 minutes to get them used to it. Staff was completely unprepared for my visit despite reassuring me that they would obtain all of the necessary paperwork from my previous vet. Not only did they fail to obtain said documents, they failed to tell me in advance that they were unable to get a hold of my previous vet for me to be able to get the information needed. Dr. Brown was incredibly condescending and rude and insinuated that I was at fault for not providing the necessary paperwork. Had I known her reception staff was incompetent, I would have brought everything I needed, but seeing as her receptionist GUARANTEED that he would obtain everything, I didn't see the need to. I was clearly frustrated when both Dr. Brown and her assistant were unsure of what shots my dog needed and was even more frustrated when their solution was for me to reschedule my appointment that I had scheduled in advance to accommodate my work schedule. Even after emailing them about my frustrations with my visit, they failed to respond, let alone apologize for my experience. Overall I thought the staff was incredibly unprofessional and ill-prepared for new clients. My visit with them was my first and my last. read more

Overall they have been a great vet for my dog the last few years, however as of recent, their management and service seem to have dropped dramatically. Most notably, I highly recommend not going by their stated hours of operation and speaking to someone directly the day of, before making a trip over there. Otherwise you may find yourself (as I did) making multiple trips, only to find a consistently empty office; even during their stated "hours of operation." My elderly dog will now have to go without her required daily medications until they return one of my various messages, because they were not open when their website, voicemail, and current door signs, all say they would be open (Saturdays from 9am-5pm). read more

I recently had a great experience at this vet clinic. I'm gearing up for a cross country move and needed to get my two kitties their yearly vaccines before I headed out. I'm really picky about vet clinics, having worked as a vet tech throughout my college years. After calling over a dozen vet clinics in the area, All About Paws was not only the most reasonable in their pricing, but was also the friendliest when I reached out to solicit a quote. When I showed up for my appointment, the clinic was modern and immaculately clean--no strange smells and plenty of room in the lobby in case multiple pets end up in there all at once. We were checked in by a pleasant receptionist and taken back to our room immediately with no waiting at all. Our tech, Erica, then quickly came in and was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient throughout the visit. She even went out of her way to promptly follow up with a phone call about a small question we had concerning our upcoming drive after we left. Our vet, Dr. Brown, was fantastic. She was friendly and knowledgeable, very calm (super important with nervous kitties getting shots), and took a practical, hands-on approach to examining our cats during their exam. For example, she took the time to show us small things we could be doing better, like their need for dentals by showing us the teeth that could need some work, without being condescending, causing unnecessary alarm, or pushing products/procedures on us. She clearly put the best interest of our animals first while going out of her way to make us feel comfortable. At the end of the visit, our final exam/vaccine price was exactly as quoted and the small additional medication we picked up for the drive was very well priced too. Overall, if I were staying in the Denver area, I'd absolutely make All About Paws and Dr. Brown my primary vet clinic for my two fur babies and couldn't recommend them more highly. read more

I originally came here with a groupon for their dental package deal. During my appointment, I was an extremely difficult client as the vet had said he would need at least 3 extractions for sure from the initial exam and maybe 3 more once she got in and did x-rays. I was obviously distraught, had a ton of questions, accused her up and down of needlessly taking my money just to pull my dog's poor teeth. She listened to me very patiently for a very long time during both the initial exam and when I came in to pick him up. That was about two months ago. He ended up having 3 extractions and some sort of structural stability thing put in while he was under. The latter was something I'd asked about, not something she pushed on me. During my hours of accusatory questions, she said, "his teeth probably are hurting him and he probably plays less tug of war like activities." And when I thought about it, she's right - my dog hadn't picked up his toys and gone into one of his "killer" modes in probably a year. Anyway, the point is, I was a very difficult client but the vet was really patient with me and explained herself to all my questions very thoroughly. I've now noticed that he does play more with his toys on his own. Like a lot more. So he'd probably been in pain for a year and I just hadn't known, thinking he'd outgrown his toys or something. He was due for his annual about a month later, and I decided to switch to this place from his previous vet to see how an annual with them would go. I felt slightly embarrassed from my first visit but no one there treated me like "oh no, this difficult person walked in" and much like their dental, their wellness exam and vaccine costs are very reasonably priced compared to other places. I'd recommend this place and if you're considering this place because of a dental groupon and debating the whole extractions thing in your head, I know it's really difficult to hear and accept, but I'm really happy to see my dog acting nice and lively again. :) read more

They were so patient with us and have us all the time we needed to make the right devious for our pet . What a circus. My pets vet is in Lakewood but I live in DTC so I was in the market to try and find something closer. We were checked in by two very polite receptionists and taken to the room right away. In the room a girl came in and told us she would be taking the dogs for the exam in the back. I am not sure why they are taking animals to the back instead of doing the exam in the rooms with the pet parents? The girl comes to take my first pet, a few minutes later she comes back and says she they can't do the exam to place a cone on his head. I was able to get the cone on with a treat but being a VET they should have been able to get a cone on themselves.... The tech comes out and tells me my total $169 and I agree to the visit, they did the labs and then came for my other dog. At that time she asks me to put the cone on his head, again being a vet you should not need a cone on dogs heads to do a basic exam. A couple minutes go by and I hear some really loud barking that sounds like my dog so I open the door to find 4 women hovering my dog covered in feces and stressing him out acting scared and finding no way to calm him down. This was completely unacceptable. Vets are trained to handled all types of behavior and these women were acting like babies. Lastly when I went to check out, yes they did not charge me for the dog they couldn't see but my total was $312! They need to be giving people accurate totals before check out. That was double what I was quoted in the room. I will not be returning as my dog left in distress and scared and soiled. read more

Like many others here, I came to All About Paws after getting a Groupon for dental cleaning for my dog. My vet initially quoted me $1,000 to get my dog's teeth cleaned, which was not financially feasible for me. I found All About Paws and was thrilled with the prices. When I arrived at the facility, I was even more pleased. The lobby and exam rooms were sparkling clean, the entire staff was welcoming and understanding of my super anxious pup, and I felt at ease leaving my dog there for the cleaning. I took my two dogs to All About Paws a few years ago. In preparing for their teeth cleaning this year I was reviewing their dental charts and noticed a discrepancy. The billing indicated a charge for 2 teeth that were actually not extracted. I contacted All About Paws who did not dispute the error but said they would not provide any adjustment because they had new management/owners. On one hand they choose to keep the brand name for financial reasons but on the other hand they want to disassociate themselves from the brand name for financial reasons. Kind of like wanting your cake and eating it too. Not sure if this is a money making scam but be very careful and watch your bill for any overcharge on work that was not performed or given. read more

By far the best place I have taken my dog. They are quick to get you seen and reliable. My poor baby needed to get a MCT removed and within 3 days of finding this mass, they had me scheduled for examination and surgery. They went out of their way to make sure that my baby was comfortable (he gets so nervous at the vet). They kept me informed the entire time Thor was within their care. We have a long road of recovery ahead of us but I wouldn't trust anyone else with my dogs health. Thank you for taking such good care of my baby! read more

I got a Groupon and took my first dog there. He is 13 and had not had his teeth cleaned in a long time. Dr. Brown showed me the teeth that were loose and infected so I was aware there was going to be extractions and the estimate they gave me included that. He has a heart murmur so they did an x-ray to see how bad it was, which they asked me if I wanted it done prior to them doing it. He has had a fat deposit that I thought was just a fat deposit but from the x-ray it showed a tumor in the middle of it. They called to tell me what they had found. I chose to have them remove it as I didn't want him to have to be put under again. Since having all that done he's got more energy and you can tell he feels better. He plays around and gets excited again and is able to eat his food and treats better. I didn't realize how bad his teeth were until they were removed. I'm sure those teeth were making him sick. The price for the cleaning, extractions, medication and surgery as well as all of the follow-ups was the same price as the vet we had been using wanted for just the cleaning. Today I brought in my other 2 dogs to get their teeth cleaned. One is 7 and one is 2. Dr. Brown looked at them and said they looked pretty good. She could not see the very back teeth well on the Chihuahua and said those may have to be extracted. When they called to give me an update and tell me when to pick them up they told me both did very well and there were no extractions needed on either of them. They also did not have to have any gel or antibiotics. The price charged was the price of the Groupon and no more. The facility is clean and the staff has always been helpful and friendly every time we've been in there. We will be going there annually to get their teeth cleaned. read more

This place is friendly, from the front office staff to the techs and vets. I was so impressed when I brought my kitten to them for his first check up that I decided to move my other cats to this vet afterwards. One of my cats had his teeth cleaned and they uncovered a serious infection with his teeth that the previous vet had missed! We're so thankful it was caught early and he's much better (as well as his breath). He's missing a few teeth but is doing great! Their fees are also very reasonable... much more so than the other vets down the street. read more

In addition, they have been extra accommodating to my scheduling needs. Recently, I had to fly out of town (emergency) both of my dogs needed some vaccines in order to kennel them. All About Paws allowed me to bring both of dogs in before opening, allowing me to pick up at my convenience at no additional cost (unheard of). They are very compassionate and it truly does show. Thank you all so much! Overall I have been very pleased with care my dogs have received. Dr. Brown is fantastic and was on top of things when my dog needed a second surgery due to an abscess post neutering. This was not only scary for me as the pet owner, but also my poor guy who was in a tremendous amount of pain. I do wish I was able to give a full 5 stars. Unfortunately for me they fall short due to front desk phone politeness. I have called several times and I feel I annoy them, or when they ask to hold and I say "sure not a problem" there is no thank you. I get a sense I bother them each time I call. I work for Swedish Medical Center and though we do not deal with animals, I believe in superior customer service both in person and via phone. You can tell if a person is genuinely happy to help you over the phone and I do not get this each time I call. In person everyone is great! read more

My baby hurt her eye, while in her kennel while I was out for a bit. I have lived in Denver for less than 2 weeks and this was by my home. They closed at 6pm and I think we walked in at 5:45pm and they still agreed to see us as new paitent's and all. Dr. Brown and Erica were awesome. Not only did they take care of her eye situation but we also discussed my baby's separation anxiety issues that cause her to have fits when we leave and caused her to injure herself. My baby has found her new doctor as we will bring her to Dr. Brown for all of her care. read more

I used the teeth cleaning Groupon and this was my first visit to this clinic. Their regular cleaning is just $199. so that's still a good deal. I loved Dr. Brown and apparently so did my dog. Very nice staff. The only negative is that they have you sign forms on an electronic pad and you cannot see what you are signing on all but one form which they can show you a paper copy of. The rest was just trusting the verbal brief description of it. So if you like to see what you are signing, this might bug you too. Maybe a second screen or turning the receptionist screen would be possible. The facility was nice. Tricky to pull back out of onto Evens as the neighbor business has a sign out next to the drive blocking your view. read more

Very clean with covid safety measures in place. The Dr. was very insightful. I asked so many questions and concerns and felt very confident leaving my fur child in her care. We can't say enough great things about Dr. Brown and Jessica at All About Paws. For the past year, this has been our home with our two senior dogs, Leroy and Maya...we use them for all services (pain management, wellness exams, nail trims, vaccinations, etc.), not just dental cleanings. Recently, our 16 year old dachshund had to have a tumor removed and the care we received was top notch. Elsewhere, this procedure would have cost much more and we appreciate the loving manner Dr. Brown and her staff takes each time with our old man. I 100% trust Dr. Brown and her staff - and I 100% believe any procedures recommended is in the best interest of your pet. Having a well-cared for pet is expensive and All About Paws makes an effort to provide the best vet care at an affordable rate. Very poor business/clinical practice, in my opinion(everyone is entitled to their own opinion). We feel like we were taken advantage of, and that our dog was bait for them to make money. Yes, I am aware veterinary services are not cheap, and I will pay whatever it takes to make my dog happy and healthy. But, when you slap services/fees on at the end of an exam, without ever telling us you were going to perform these services, then that is unfair and wrong. We gave no consent/permission to perform some of the things they did, but yet they went ahead and did them and charged us for them. I feel like they performed unnecessary things just to rack up the bill and make a few more bucks. Not to mention, we couldn't even tell they did anything! We took our dog there to be seen for a cracked dew claw. He has Lupus, so unless his claws 100% need to be touched/trimmed, then they should not. All that should have been addressed was the dew claw, and that's all we asked to be done. They never told us it needed to be trimmed or removed. The doctors ended up trimming all of his nails, without ever asking or gathering our consent. They stuck the fee and description on the bill at the end of the visit without ever notifying us exactly what services will be performed. My lady expressed her concern about it, once they showed her the bill. Then, they told us his follow up visit/services would be free of charge, again which lured us back in, and then they charged another 20$. It seems to me they try to lure you in, which I have seen many times at Vet clinics, and then slap on more fee's. Very disappointed on how they operate. I finally thought we found a new place to take our dog, and I was wrong. They're doing nothing to resolve the situation, as they said everything they did was completely necessary. If it was necessary, then great! But, ask the owner's first whether or not they want it done, as you should with all medical care/treatment. We will not be going back. read more

Great experience, I purchased a Groupon for their teeth cleaning services. When I called to schedule my dog's cleaning, the receptionist was very friendly and knowledgeable; she assured me they were experienced with dogs who may be at risk under anesthesia. The Groupon was so popular their schedule was booked pretty far out. I wasn't in a rush so it wasn't an issue for me. I received a reminder call about a week before my appointment. The day before the procedure, the office called to go over instructions, the young lady spent a lot of time answering and assuring my concerns about putting a 9 year old boxer mix under anesthesia. I was very impressed with this practice. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. The biggest surprise was how my dog reacted to her visit. She usually shakes and tries to go back to the car, during exams she shakes and hides behind me, it takes a lot of coaxing and forget taking treats from a stranger. Today, she marched right in tailing wagging, exploring and greeting the receptionist. The tech was so kind, my dog was relaxed not shaking. Dr Brown was very sweet, my dog instantly calmly sat and let the doctor look at her teeth and gums, I was given a treatment plan with worst case best case options and asked to sign a pre-authorized amount incase they couldn't reach me once they knew what she needed after X-rays and blood work. I was pleasantly surprised; Dr Brown did not feel my pet needed any extra dental work and the charge was what I was originally quoted. I won't hesitate to use this office again for a dental cleaning. We have been taking our now 6 month old puppy to All About Paws to see Dr. Brown since the first week we got her. The office staff are sweet, attentive, and caring. They always answer the phones by checking to see if it's an emergency so they can make your call a priority. The veterinary technician is a wonderful, kind-hearted, and clearly very well educated person! She always answers every obsessive question we have about our pup with care and concern. Dr. Brown is a wonderful vet! She is calm and understanding with our initially un-socialized and defensive puppy. She explains things very well, and she does great work! Having cared for many animals and reviewed extensive research on my own, I know what to look for in a good veterinarian. All I needed was my dog's teeth cleaned, but was unable to pay them to do this without current proof of rabies vaccination. Without going into the whole debate about why you shouldn't be vaccinating your pet every 1-3 years against rabies, as most good vets agree, all of the vets I have used in the past, who actually hold the animal's well being above a profit, have simply let me sign off on this vaccination and continued to treat my baby. Except here. They wouldn't even allow me to provide a titter showing precisely why my dog is protected, as well as their staff, in order to purchase this service from them. In summary, if you walk into a vet office and they're peddling Science Diet in their lobby, or, require you to needlessly update vaccinations that will only harm your pet, turn around and walk out. You can guarantee that these places are only out to make a buck, at the expense of your pet's health. read more
