What a ridiculous rip off. If you want to throw away hundreds of dollars for the same care you can get anywhere else feel free. We have bred dogs for years and years. We always get our puppies their first shots and dewormed. We have been to two other vets in the surrounding areas with MUCH larger litters that cost us less than 1/2 the price of this place. The staff was nice, the place was nice, but insanely overpriced. Our last litter of Eight puppies we took to Stoney Creek in Whitset cost us less than $250 this litter of SIX cost us over $450 for dewormer and a shot you can get at tractor supply for $15. We were quoted $60 for the first pup and $30 each additional. Which corresponded with what we had paid in the past. Apparently, that was only the DOCTOR fee not the $38 per shot and then dewormer. They conveniently left that part out. Make sure you get an accurate price before you have sticker shock like we did at checkout. read more

We just finished our first appointment and we're 100% satisfied with our experience. Everyone was professional and friendly. Our cat had their full attention from the moment we walked through their door. The entire visit was very thorough and organized from start to finish. Treatment options were fully explained (and reasonable) and they were very transparent with how much everything would cost. Dr. Jordan and the staff have cared for our 17+ year old dog for almost 3 years. Rocky first saw Dr. Jordan because he had life threatening pancreatitis and kidney failure which required daily sub-Q fluids. He received these fluids every day and Dr. Jordan and the staff went out of their way to make sure he got the fluids. We got to know everyone at the hospital and we care deeply for each and everyone of them. After 3 years of treatment, we lost Rocky last week. Dr. Jordan and the staff have been with us all the way as we grieve and miss our much loved baby. We know he is watching for us at Rainbow Bridge and we will re reunited someday. Anyone looking for a veterinarian and animal hospital they can count on to care for their loved animal as if it were a member of their family, Animal Hospital of Mebane is the best place and you can be sure they will do everything possible to keep your pet well and with you. We had an emergency situation and was turned away from a vet we had established business with. Mebane Animal Hospital made the time to see us and treat our pet right away. We now have established business here where we know all our animals will be cared for. I read complaints about staff and wait times and sympathize but it all happens for a reason. This place is busy because of emergencies and the volume of people coming here for their pet's care. This is a hospital too after all. I'm willing to wait a bit for quality care while they might be working on someone else's pet needing emergency care. I highly recommend this business because they do care for animals here, they are competent and your pet will be in good hands. read more

We took our dog to Dr. Brooke for two well-checks with no issues; unfortunately, the support staff provides poor customer service especially with regard to prescription refills. Cumbersome phone app and little opportunity to shop medications from sources other than their pharmacy. They will not provide electronic verification for refills. We will be looking for another provider. read more

Purchased a voucher through the humane society to help out a dog we found on the street. He marks and we were hoping fixing him would prevent this so we could find him a forever home. My friend brought him and forgot the voucher the day of the appointment, but tried to provide a confirmation email as well as proof of payment, and then offered to bring the voucher to pick up. We even offered to fax the voucher over. She was denied. I understand policy is policy, but the staff behind the desk was rude to her and basically told her that without the voucher she needed to leave when I was about to bring the voucher to her. Policy is policy (why I gave 2 stars instead of 1), but not an excuse for poor customer service. read more

Dr. Jordan put an adult dose of topical flea treatment on a 2.5 wk old kitten I was bottle raising. She went in for an late afternoon appt & we wound up at the emergency vet 2hrs later. Well, she lived after almost $700 later... I DONT RECOMMEND THIS CLINIC! read more

We took our dog, Chase, into AHOM yesterday afternoon for urgent care. They worked us in and examined him carefully. He had to stay overnight for IV fluids and medication. Dr. Jordan texted us twice last night to give us updates on Chase's condition. This morning, Dr. Jordan sent us a little video clip with Chase to let us know how he was doing. Tonight, Chase is at home with us. If his health declines over the weekend, we can reach Dr. Jordan at any time to ensure Chase receives prompt, appropriate care. He will receive additional treatment next week to determine the cause of his illness so appropriate further care can be given. I have total trust Animal Hospital of Mebane will give Chase the best care available. They genuinely care for all of their patients and provide professional, compassionate care. I wouldn't trust my animals' health to anyone else! read more

The wait here is horrible. They never see us at our appointment time. I'm always kept waiting well past the appointment time. They also always have problems with their appointment system. The time I'm told my appointment is when scheduling never matches the appointment time I'm given when they call/text/email the appointment reminder. Even when call to confirm appointment time, it still ends up being wrong. read more

We just moved in June and have taken our one yellow lab Cody there thus far. We had a good experience . Dr. was very nice and had previous records from surgeon who did TPLO surgery and vet who took care of him last year. I'm constantly frustrated coming here. The price I'm told online is never the price I'm charged at the end and is always much more expensive than I was told. My sweet 15 yr old cat needs to be euthanized and they charge $150. The other best in the area charge 29-40. It's sad to me they charge so much more when it's a service that's sad to have to need anyway. read more

I have been taking my animals to the Animal Hospital of Mebane since they opened. I have been very pleased with their service. You can tell they truly care for animals. They have the unfortunate task of putting to of my dogs to sleep. They were incredibly respectful and sympathetic during the entire process. I have seen all of the veterinarian there and have been pleased with them all. Shelly is always wonderful whenever I have question or concerns. Dr. Doug was very knowledgeable about our problem with Zeus and his recent medical issue. He could have tried to do the surgery himself but with a less than satisfactory outcome. I brought a puppy that we found on our property that was starving and lost. He is 8 weeks old according to Dr Jordan. In any case, the dog was checked and that went ok until the end of the visit. During covid the procedure was to wait in the car and then the animal and the owner were escorted into the exam room. The exam room was also where you paid your bill. I had the 1st visit coupon and my credit card on the exam table waiting. Dr Jordan saw the coupon and said I could use it again on our other dog's 1st visit, who also needed to be checked. I had explained that we could not afford to keep the puppy but would not leave it to starve. So the next day I called to make the appointment for my other dog. The lady said that they only honored the coupon for 1 dog. I explained my conversation with Dr Jordan. She agreed to ask him if he remembered. She came back and said the policy was one dog only. I wanted her to go back and ask again, because I believe she did not ask him. She came back too quick. So she puts me on hold. Lisa the office manager picks up my call. She wants to hear the story from me. I explained all and she also persisted in saying it was policy. I said she needed to ask him. She said she would ask him at lunchtime because that was the easiest time to catch him out of the exam room and call me back. Promised to absolutely call back. At 4:50 I called her and she said she was still in a meeting with Dr Jordan since lunch time. Really? ZERO STARS. She said no to the voucher for the 2nd dog. I asked if Dr Jordan was a man of his word, because I believe that when someones says something it is dishonorable to not keep your word. So I said I would not bring the 2nd dog to a place that does not keep their word. Also Lisa did not keep her word about calling me back. Every conversation with the employees there was just excuses and BS. I believed that Dr Jordan said that I could use the coupon on the 2nd dog because of the financial hardship of caring for the 1st dog. Here is one excuse I was given. The receptionist said that Dr Jordan would give me free first doses of preventatives (samples) as he did with the first dog and that would make up the $15 coupon. Really aren't samples free anyway, isn't that why the package says that they are samples? ZERO STARS. My dog that I have had for 8 years is medicated and has a supply on hand of everything he needs. So they believe pet owners are stupid too. Now someone is going to read this and apologize with an excuse for this experience. Just like all the other negative reviews on here. ZERO STARS. Here is another thing, everyone there and who came in there had to wear a mask because of covid. Everyone except Dr Jordan. Horrible customer service! There is a real communication problem at this practice. The groomer did not listen to my instructions and my dog was given a distemper shot (and i was charged for it) if the groomer would of called me as instructed I could of told her it was covered by my voucher from the Humane Society. I was upset but chalked this up to the groomer being to busy trying to get me to purchase additional products and not listening to me. But, sadly that doesn't seem to be the case. I took my dog to be neutered and at check-in the lady and I discussed that he did not need any shots, even tho a distemper and rabies shot were a part of the voucher. When I went to pick up my dog he had been given another distemper shot (2nd one in less than 2-21/2 months and he was also given another rabies shot...yes, he just got one in June/July and I had to take the certificate to them before he was seen the first time. So, as you can see communication and listening to the client's wishes do not seem to matter. I would like to say that the office manager was nice and apologetic with the groomer incident, I didn't even want to speak to her yesterday because I was so upset. read more

This place is absolutely phenomenal. I just recently moved to the Burlington area and needed a vet for my cat. Looked online and read the reviews and settled on A.H. of Mebane. There are not enough stars for excellence for this animal hospital. I had called four places before I called the A.H. of Mebane because I would make my decision based on the person I talked to when I called. I just figured they would treat my pet as they treat me. I was absolutely blown away with the lady who answered the phone. Courteous, knowledgeable, caring, and treated me with respect and devoted all her time to answering my questions. As a result, I scheduled that same day for an appointment. My cat had been lethargic, not eating, drinking for more than two days. She is an indoor cat and I often let her go outside for a few minutes. Unbeknown to me she had been in a fight with another cat which caused her issues. Dr. Ray upon examination found more than five puncture wounds which I hadn't noticed because she is long haired. He treated her, gave me medication and sent me on my way. The following day I received a call inquiring about my cat. The cost, time, care, and expertise are hands down exceptional. If you are like me and trust the reviews of others, then please notice that A.H. of Mebane has the highest customer rating of any Veterinarian in the area.
