Super kind folks at Creekside, we felt very well taken care of when we did our puppy's spay

I have been taking my pup to Creekside for a few years now. The staff and Doctors are wonderful!! Everyone is so friendly and professional! They are an AAHA accredited practice and offer a variety of treatment options including regular care, some surgical procedures and alternative treatments. My dog gets a monthly injection for osteoarthritis along with laser therapy. They even do acupuncture. If you want a vet that doesn't make you or your pet feel like a number... I suggest switching to Creekside! read more

My cat had a pretty large cut on his nose and I called this clinic a few hours before they were about to close. They squeezed me in and we immediately headed out the door. They were prompt and took such great care of Ozzy! They were so gentle too. He healed up in about a week with the medicine that they gave me. It's been almost 3 weeks now! Still wonderful care of my cats here, despite moving away. A separate cat area, Feliway diffusing, 3 year Purevax Rabies vaccines that are difficult to find elsewhere, and excellent anesthesia and surgical protocols for my fosters and geriatric babies will keep me coming back. Steven Swanner listens to concerns and goals diligently and patiently. Then, logically derives effective treatment. He takes into account home life, client compliance ability, finances, and benefit vs risk assessment. I've never been judged, pushed, mistreated, ignored or misled at Creekside AC under his careful administration. I've never utilized one of his associate docs. I stick with what's tried and true re: human resources. Now, technological and pharmaceutical advances, I'll jump in and try for my horde, and Dr Swanner has had some intriguing and successful diagnostics or treatments to try the last 8 years. I hope to see acupuncture as an added therapy as he helped 2 or 3 of my dogs improve QOL with this option at the end of their lives. The staff are great with online appointment management and phone/text communication. I always update records here from specialists I use or fosters' previous care providers and CAC never loses the email or has limited communication regarding this record keeping. Some clinics are not as organized or accurate. And, when a mistake was made regarding an appt or a record, they addressed it immediately and communicated very well in hindsight, learning from the error. That's progress! We only went there once before my sweet Bella passed away but I took her there for cremation. These folks were so kind. I'm sure I seemed crazy. I was sobbing and then wouldn't hand her over. They were so so nice and understanding. The box of her ashes was beautiful and it had her little paw print on it. They made me a little clay impression of her paw and painted it in and also saved a lock of her fur. I'm so grateful for the loving care they took of my sweet Bella at her end and how kind they were to me when I was so out of it. read more

UPDATE: After my review/complaint I received a telephone call and several emails from the owners of Creekside Animal Clinic notifying me that they took my review and my situation seriously. They profusely apologized for the whole ordeal and are in the process of rectifying it. I was told they had recently had staff development training and used my experience with them to assist in better training their staff. When a company takes the time to contact an unhappy customer and rectify the situation, you know they take their customers seriously and care. I have updated my review to reflect their customer service and care to fix the problem. read more

Dr. Swanner is the best. He is extremely knowledgeable and very personable. The whole staff at creekside make going to the vet a fun and exciting experience for my pets every time. They go above and beyond. You can tell they genuinely care about their clients. You would be doing your pet a disservice by going anywhere else. read more

Amazing, caring, professional vets and staff.

Creekside animal clinic is the best place to take your pets if you live in Alamance, Orange, or Caswell county! The vet, Dr Steve, is personable and smart. When our little dog got sick (renal failure) he laid out all of our options, explained the benefits and trade offs with each treatment program and allowed us to make our own decision. I never felt that I was judged for the decisions I made. We were able to extend her life by quite a bit with the help of the staff. All of them truly work together to meet the client's needs and goals of care. Everyone that works there is fantastic and a part of our family! read more

Incredibly helpful staff. I first went to Creekside with my puppy's hurt leg (after transferring from a vet who recommended Ibuprofen...enough said...) Dr. Steve provided great care in line with current practice and provided thorough discharge instructions. Since this was our 1st visit, they offered a free month of pet insurance. I opted to continue the policy after much deliberation, conversations in passing with the Creekside administration staff, and knowing my puppy is really clumsy! Two months after this 1st visit my puppy ended up having a probable bowel obstruction requiring a visit to a vet hospital & 2 visits to Creekside. On follow up Drs. Steve & Claire were thorough and found an issue (overlooked by the vet hospital) that was contributing to the bowel issues. I am extremely grateful to Catherine, the administrative guru who has gone above & beyond by helping file our pet insurance claims from the vet hospital & Creekside! Last but not least is the entire staff took great care of my puppy & reassured a very anxious doggy mom! read more

My dog was scratching a lot. Brought dog in and had steroid shot, skin sample, bought lots of meds and spent lots of money. Dog only stop itching for 1 day. I contacted vet upset. He said to bring dog for him to re exam at no cost. I did, and he suggested the same regiment, steroid shot and meds etc. I said no, it did not work last time why would I want to do it again. When I went to leave they tried to charge me. I told them no, my understanding was he was going to look at the dog at no charge. The receptionist was exceptionally snobby and rude. Summary: Paid lots of money for no results and was treated rudely. Glad to see another lady had the same misunderstanding about cost. read more

I finally rescued my first dog and took her to Creekside for a check-up. Everyone there was extremely friendly and helpful. I was very impressed by the facility and the capabilities of completing tests in the office. Needless to say my puppy is doing much better thanks to their work. I highly recommend Creekside to anyone with a best friend who needs a check-up. read more

As someone in rescue, I do to know how this practice has 4.5 stars. The number of complications from their spays and neuters is incredible. I took two foster animals for a checkup that a rescue used and I was not permitted back. One had coccidia that wasn't caught (I had my own cat at home). The other had severe gingivitis that the adopters discovered the day they adopted this kitten and took them to their own vet. I specifically asked Creekside about this kitten because of his breath and a gray tooth and they cleared him. Had I been back there I could have inquired further. I asked to go back but was denied several times. Regarding the spay and neuter complications, maybe this is some secret. But it shouldn't be. Just be careful. Edit: after my review, several people contacted me because they had been harassed asking if they had made the review. Not only by the clinic but by a rescue organization. No, it wasn't them. read more

I brought my dog to Creekside to explore a mass protruding from his (That's right, you guessed it) Not to be explored by my veterinarian to the north, Dr. Horn snapped on her glove and proceeded to dig in (The look on that poor dogs face, priceless). Discovering the mass was not associated with his gland we opted to have it removed that day and within a couple of hours he was back at home resting peacefully. This is an updated review. After my initial complaint, the owner contacted me determined to help. He listened well, apologized for my experience at the first two visits, and helped come up with an action plan to treat my pet. I've even received a follow-up phone call to see how the dog was doing, and was able to get meds changed then. He has talked with me rather than at me, and has valued my input as I have valued his. I am quite pleased with Dr. Swanner's level of commitment not only to righting a wrong, but also to my pet's health. I opted to delete the original review, and have left 4 stars instead of 5 only to reflect my initial interactions with a different vet at the practice. Otherwise, we have since received 5 star treatment, and I am very grateful to Dr. Swanner for providing it. read more

I was one of this clinic first clients, Since they have grown service has gone downhill. Now it's all about the dollar. I was treated rudely by a employee. And the staff back her rudeness and made excuses for her. I was always taught the customer is always right. Even when their not right. My Chihuahua is part of my family. And if they will treat me like this. I won't take a chance with someone being unkind to here. I changed vets right away. And I never received as much as a phone call asking me to stay. I brought in my dog that had multiple laceration to face with a deep one above eyelid blood all over face,I did not have apt but was to told to come in right away only to wait in the lobby fro an hour watching other dogs come an go ,my dog should have been a priority ,then called back in to exam room to wait additional 20 min ,still at this point vet had not even showed his face,at this point I left .Be advised if your animal needs urgent care look elsewhere! read more
