I genuinely wanted to love working with her, but unfortunately, my experience was frustrating from start to finish. From early on, communication was inconsistent and disorganized. Despite providing clear direction and feedback in emails, the designs I received often didn't reflect my requests. During calls, it became apparent that Stephanie was confusing my project with another client's and hadn't reviewed my messages beforehand. Responses to emails and texts were also very delayed, and at times, I wouldn't hear back for weeks. I was aware that Stephanie was going through some personal challenges, and I truly sympathized with her situation. However, I still expected a professional level of service--especially for something as meaningful and time-sensitive as wedding invitations. Unfortunately, many of our meetings turned into conversations about her personal struggles, which made me uncomfortable and detracted from the focus on my project. There were also quality and design issues that concerned me. I studied design in college and noticed multiple mistakes--letters overlapping with artwork, inconsistent layouts between cards, and overall execution that didn't meet the standard I expected for a custom invitation suite. I also found her capabilities limited, requiring multiple outsourced elements (for additional fees), and she wasn't able to source the scalloped-edge paper I requested. The most disappointing part was the financial aspect. I paid for a custom watercolor of my venue that was never delivered, and although my contract stated I would receive a partial refund if materials hadn't been ordered, I had to push repeatedly to get back a portion of what I was owed. The tone of those final exchanges felt surprisingly disrespectful and unprofessional. I want to be clear that my intention in sharing this review is not to harm Stephanie's business but to help future couples understand what they might experience. Wedding planning is already stressful enough--your stationery vendor should make it easier, not harder. I ultimately switched to Lewes Lettering Co., and the difference has been night and day. Their team listened carefully, brought my vision to life beautifully, and made the process fun and stress-free. I only wish I had found them sooner.

Ms. Somodi says that she is "high end". All that means is that she's expensive. My husband and I…read morehad her do our invitations for our vow renewal last year, and for what we paid, there was NO EXCUSE to have Swarovski crystals falling off of the invitations. There was also glue on a lot of the invites. To top it off, she put her business name and information on the back of each invite! Tacky! In addition, she is very sloppy when it comes to grammar and punctuation. Check out my photos for examples. EDIT: Ms. Somodi was obviously very angry at my review, because last night she sent a good friend of hers here to make an account just to post a bullying "review" in order to harass and vilify me. I reported it and the good folks here at Yelp agreed with me and took the fake review down.
