First, my wife was told that the premium "deep clean" was our only option because of our distance to the area she usually services--which is Alamo Ranch, just a 15-minute drive up Potranco to the house we just bought. I am still left wondering and flabbergasted about what exactly we paid for. She assured us that with the purchase of a deep clean that they "clean everything." We hired Mimi to clean the used house we purchased, which had no furniture and was to the naked eye superficially clean--ready for a walkthrough, yes, but not deep cleaned to belie the five years the previous owner lived in it. I am left to assume Mimi's crew saw that our new home was clean enough for a showing so they halfheartedly worked, thinking that someone else already did the job for them. She sent us pictures of her small crew cleaning our windows and a picture of a wet, mopped kitchen floor. But as you will see in the pictures, while the floor was likely treated with product, there was bits of trash and debris left brushed up against the edge of the floor as if the floor was mopped and all the clutter was sloppily pushed over and left uncleaned. Most disappointedly I am continually finding splotches all over the house that I have since had to clean myself and more often than not only required a gentle wipe down, which means it was never done in the first place (see pictures). In the end, we can be guaranteed Mimi cleaned our windows, mopped our small kitchen, and cleaned most of the baseboards. Does that constitute a "deep clean" in a three-bedroom, 1500 sq.ft. home? I don't believe so. Mimi, to her credit, refunded us the money that it costs to upgrade from a basic clean to her deep-clean service.

Diana came quite a few times, and I was happy with her work. She was cheerful, and patient, and did a thorough job. Sadly, one day she pulled a no-show, and didn't call me or Freshify. Alex with Freshify was very apologetic. I didn't blame the service at all; these things happen. I took the opportunity to discuss the language barrier, and requested that whoever they send next be fluent in English. The cleaner they sent, Cleo, wasn't as good as Diana, and spoke next to no English. Her housekeeping was acceptable, though. I spoke to Alex again, and they gave me a credit to account for that. The last time they sent two cleaners, who spoke almost no English. Streaks were left on glass table tops and shower glass. The bathrooms weren't cleaned very well, and one toilet wasn't cleaned at all. There was a ring of mold that appeared a few days later, and it takes a couple of weeks for that to happen. Things in general weren't cleaned very well, and I suspect it might be because they couldn't ask me questions. Freshify Cleans charges above average, so I expect above average cleaning - each and every time. I try not to be picky, and if I could clean my own house, I would. Unfortunately, I physically cannot, so I have to rely on others. I have decided to hire someone myself without relying on a service. It is much cheaper, and I am very happy with the person's work.

They also left the owner's closet and cabinets unlocked when guests checked in--completely unacceptable. The day before Thanksgiving, Trish sent a 30-day termination notice. She then failed to show up 2 days later to clean one of our units, which forced our family to clean it ourselves as guests were arriving. Throughout our experience, Trish's communication was consistently rude and unprofessional.

I didn't really know what I was in for when they showed up at the crack of dawn with gloves, buckets, mops and a vacuum in hand. When I returned, it felt like I had walked into the wrong house. The place smelled heavily of bleach and limpador. I was amazed to see what my floors liked like! I forgot I had carpeting in some of those places! They cleaned this place top to bottom, chasing out the dust bunnies from every nook and cranny. I've never had this place so clean. I texted him to let him know we had an unexpected meeting we had to attend and would leave the front door unlocked. When we came back we realized they had not cleaned. I looked to see if they had tried to call and realized the number I texted was a landline. They had not tried to call, though. I found the card he left me, and realized there as a mobile number and called it. The young lady who answered didn't know about the text, and said they had waited half an hour and then left. I told her about the text and that the front door was unlocked for them. Finally, several days later, I heard from Jim, who said they had waited an hour and the door was locked. I explained it was not, and the other lady said they had waited half an hour. I apologized to the young lady when I spoke to her, but, Jim's attitude was extremely rude. He insisted the door was locked, obviously insinuating i was a liar. Then he said she didn't get paid for that day.
