I took some pictures and explained exactly what I wanted and they gave me a fair price that I was very happy with. They double checked that we were still on the day before and morning of. They showed up on time and with all their own supplies. I work from home but was not bothered at all by their work. When one was done, they went over and help the other finish up. They dusted and cleaned the light fixtures, wiped down both sides of the doors and even the door frames. The ONLY issue I had was the mopping. Didn't care much for the mop they used on the floors but I'm super picky about that in general. Will be booking them again soon.

So, they sent a young lady named Diana who didn't speak any English at all, only Spanish. We used Google Translate, but it really doesn't help communicate complex instructions or certain expressions very well. Any professional translators reading this review should breathe a sigh of relief, because I really don't think AI translators will ever replace a live human translator! But I digress. Diana came quite a few times, and I was happy with her work. She was cheerful, and patient, and did a thorough job. Sadly, one day she pulled a no-show, and didn't call me or Freshify. Alex with Freshify was very apologetic. I didn't blame the service at all; these things happen. I took the opportunity to discuss the language barrier, and requested that whoever they send next be fluent in English. The cleaner they sent, Cleo, wasn't as good as Diana, and spoke next to no English. Her housekeeping was acceptable, though. I spoke to Alex again, and they gave me a credit to account for that. The last time they sent two cleaners, who spoke almost no English. Streaks were left on glass table tops and shower glass. The bathrooms weren't cleaned very well, and one toilet wasn't cleaned at all. There was a ring of mold that appeared a few days later, and it takes a couple of weeks for that to happen. Things in general weren't cleaned very well, and I suspect it might be because they couldn't ask me questions. Freshify Cleans charges above average, so I expect above average cleaning - each and every time. I try not to be picky, and if I could clean my own house, I would. Unfortunately, I physically cannot, so I have to rely on others. I have decided to hire someone myself without relying on a service. It is much cheaper, and I am very happy with the person's work.

I didn't really know what I was in for when they showed up at the crack of dawn with gloves, buckets, mops and a vacuum in hand. I saw them walk in, and say a little prayer as they made the sign of the cross. They gasped when they saw the restrooms. But I left them there to tackle the dirt and grime. They were at it for hours. When I returned, it felt like I had walked into the wrong house. The place smelled heavily of bleach and limpador. I was amazed to see what my floors liked like! I forgot I had carpeting in some of those places! They cleaned this place top to bottom, chasing out the dust bunnies from every nook and cranny. I've never had this place so clean. I found the card he left me, and realized there as a mobile number and called it. The young lady who answered didn't know about the text, and said they had waited half an hour and then left. I told her about the text and that the front door was unlocked for them. Finally, several days later, I heard from Jim, who said they had waited an hour and the door was locked. I explained it was not, and the other lady said they had waited half an hour. I apologized to the young lady when I spoke to her, but, Jim's attitude was extremely rude. He insisted the door was locked, obviously insinuating i was a liar. Then he said she didn't get paid for that day. Of course, my house didn't get cleaned either. i would definitely NOT recommend Texas Cleaning. Customer service is not in this man's vocabulary.
