The room has dimmed light and the heated bed was very relaxing. The whole process was very calming and I felt that the esthetician was very genuine. She does not attempt to scare you ("If you don't do X, your skin will look bad in 10 years...) to increase her/store sales, and she provided me a lot of tips about how to stay hydrated. So I was dressed in long athletic shorts and an oversized tee. Upon entering I noticed all the seats were taken and asked about the wait time since I knew I needed to be out within 2 hours. I was ok to come back another time. But was told to wait "a quick minute" 45 minutes later I was sat in a chair and continued to wait about another 25 mins. I got the cucumber pedi which is one of their least expensive (but for me, less time consuming that day) as I usually get a milk and honey. The lady doing my feet called me disgusting (oops I may know SOME words) and kept scrunching her eyes closed and looking away and continuing to talk about me. She kept her eyes closed with a disgusted face the entire time. It was pretty hurtful since my feet, while they did have a callus, were not that bad. She wiped the sugar stuff on one leg and rinsed it off and not at all on the other. Slapped on the lotion in her best attempt to not touch me. At the end I was charged for a premium pedicure. When I said I didn't get that. She told him I did. So I overpaid to get made fun of and not get not only what I asked for, but what I paid for. And I still left a tip because I always do.. just not the big tip I usually left my nail tech in San Antonio. I'll never go back. I will gladly drive to Lubbock to be treated like a person.
