We visited on a Friday night, the weekend of July 4th and had a great food! We ordered a Chicken Philly and a Turkey and cheese sub with a side of fries. Everything was made to order. We did call it in and picked it up. The establishment is a good size. The staff were very friendly and attentive. There is plenty of parking in the plaza. The food was good. We ordered takeout for dinner. We felt like something different for a change. It was close to authentic Italian food.

This location seems to be one of the newer Anna's locations on the peninsula. It was the only nearby eatery offering fried ravioli on a Sunday, which lead us there. The environs are bright with 2 dining areas and located in an easy access shopping center. They have a full bar and a few bar patrons, one of which was quite loud and exuberant. There is one bathroom, gender neutral of course. The unsweet tea was nicely brewed. The fried ravioli was as anticipated but served on some unnecessary shredded lettuce. We ordered a small cheese calzone and a small sausage roll. Both made to order and so large they extended over the plates! We enjoyed half and took half home. They looked to enjoy a steady take out business. For what we were looking for on a Sunday, this was a great choice! read more

Treated absolutely awful by an extremely rude waitress named Morgan. Waited 12 minutes after they answered and asked me if I could hold. Drove there in that time. Went in to place an order. Waited five or more minutes and when the waitress Morgan went by me to the counter I asked if I could place an order. told her I had been waiting and she said nastily can't you tell we are extremely busy. 1st time trying this Anna's! Food was good and plentiful. Baked ziti loaded with a meat sauce and melted mozzarella on top. Unlike most baked zitis, didnt have any ricotta under cheese. I haven't been over in this area for ages, but we were nearby and my kiddo wanted McDonalds and...I most certainly did not. lol. So I called in an order for a meatball sub here to revisit the place after what looks like now about 8 years. Took my order to go. Service was very friendly and quick, and the interior is still really old-school cute. Food was solid, but nothing to rave home about. Meatballs were okay, but the bread was horribly soggy. Now the upside - I didn't finish it, so I took the bread off and reheated the meatballs the next day in the oven with extra sauce and cheese, then put it on some much better bread, and it was a great leftover. I just had to do the work to get it there...which not doing the work is sort of why you order out, am I right? I'd put this sub a step above a Subway meatball sub, but not on par with some of the other Italian places around. read more

Ordered off of GrubHub. This is the first time trying from this local place. It is about 20 min drive so I expected it to be soggy by the both the fries and pizza were perfect. Even the soda is cold. The toppings are fresh and flavors are great. Considering the amount of toppings and size of the pie, you get more than you pay for. Fries were crispy. Good flavor. Overall AMAZING. It seemed family run for the most part and the service was amazing everyone was so so sweet. I had the shrimp fettuccine and holy shrimp I swear more kept appearing as I ate it. My boyfriend had the meat lovers pizza and said there was a crap ton of toppings on it (I tried his crust and that was really good). We had plenty of leftovers to go home as the portions were great, absolutely getting your moneys worth and more. That paired with the amazing service it's safe to say this will be a frequent stop for date nights. read more

Nothing tasted burnt, the garlic knots were so tasty and flavorful, calamari was fried to perfection. Price was fare for all the food! I decided to try a dish I have not had in years, their Chicken Scalopini, and unfortunately, I was disappointed. I was so hungry, but it looked and tasted so dry. It was as if the chicken cutlet and pasta were made separately, yet not married together with the wine and lemon sauce that was in the description. The angel hair pasta was the perfect consistency to be tossed with garlic and oil. The portion sizes were amazing, the salad was fresh, bread was good and soft, so I made a sandwich with the cutlet. Well, I haven't had a chance to actually try the food, seems like I couldn't even be bothered to be welcomed in to do so. I was coming in to pick up an order, and was not greeted once; in fact, was told to move over in a very rude manner and talked about by the two blonde women that i suppose are typically around the bar or serving. One of them I guess is possibly the manager due to the fact that when I called to express my concern for the fact that this happened, this person did absolutely nothing to try to resolve the issue. To whomever I talked to: if you wanna be a real manager, they get straight to the point and make sure you don't have any conflict with your locals, if somebody is telling you that they felt discriminated against, you apologize and invite them into your restaurant to have a better experience. You did the absolute opposite and not even close to the bare minimum of addressing the situation that you were obviously allowing in your business and inside of your infrastructure.. I suppose that's why you guys have three stars on yelp; I've lived here for 22 years and never not once been recommended to dine into this place. I'm not gonna lie. The customer service was TERRIBLE, when I walked in to get my pick up order this young Caucasian girl who seemed really hyper was moving entirely too fast and rung me up for the wrong order, charged me $26 dollars and when I proceeded to tell her that it's not mine she insisted that it was?? Mind you I got a pasta and she charged me for two subs, she said "oh the name is wrong but that's your order" after I told her it wasn't. she asked what the order name I used was and when I told her she yelled "WE DONT HAVE THAT NAME" mind you who's fault is that because I surely told them over the phone..?? On top of that she kept cutting me off before I could even get a word out or get a chance to tell her that I ordered pasta and not subs! Wouldn't want to ever go back based off her service alone. On top of that the food is very mediocre. I asked for cheese in my pasta and the put a weird nasty layer of cheese on the top of the pasta so it really overshadowed the pasta and flavor of it overall. You would think you would get good pizza at an Italian Restaurant, but for us this was not the case. We were hungry, ready to eat and wanted it quickly. We order the large Anna's special well done the green peppers on one side. I watch the server place well done in bold letters on the ticket. Well, it goes without saying that is was not. I sorta figured that when we got is so quickly. I mean it was well done but still not to my liking. The green peppers were cut into large pieces which made them over powering, even on the non pepper side. The toppings were limited and for extra toppings its $3.00 per. The pizza just was not good, we didn't even finish it. Service was good. Loved that the server placed the order prior to us paying for this to go order. I normally go here because the sandwiches are decent. The restaurant itself is in need of a serious make-over. I will not be ordering pizza here again anytime soon. read more

I've lived in the area for so long and have never tried this place until now! The restaurant is nestled in a quiet shopping center near Food Lion that I don't frequent often. The restaurant gives off a homey feel but I definitely feel like it could use some updating. It looks like it has had the same decor for many many years. Even the plates are that faded plastic. I haven't seen plates similar to that since I was very young. The food was amazing though. I love me a white pizza. And theirs hit the right spot for me. The mozzarella/ricotta combo with the garlic was heavenly. Probably one of the best tasting pizzas I've ever tried. My husband got the pepperoni Stromboli. It didn't wow me as much as the pizza but my husband seemed pleased with it. It was a pretty decent size and he was able to take some of it home for lunch the next day. The one off of Armistead has wayyyy better food. The food at this location tasted like it came straight out of the freezer. We ordered the fried shrimp and fries, cheese fries, garlic knots and cheese sticks. The shrimp was the best part but that also came out of the freezer. I had been wanting to order from here for a while. I heard some good things. While i was out grocery shopping i decided to order from them and give them a go. Needless to say, I was disapointed. During this pandemic, and small business struggling, this is supposed to be the time to shine, both food quality and customer service. So i placed my order online, while i shopped. When i went in to pick my order up, it was ready, at least i thought it was. Apparently it was wrong. They fixed me a veal parm dinner, instead of a sub. So now i had to wait for them to fix it. Slight annoyance, but not a deal breaker. The deal breaker when i got home and seen my food. I ordered a 12 inch veal parm with extra meat, and bread tosted extra. There was no extra meat, and my bread was soggy and soaked in maranara. 16.00 sub it definitely was not. I also ordered mozzy fries, they were under cooked and soggy. Also, not worth the 4.99. Almost didn't get my pizza, I missed my turn and to get back was massive traffic after work so I just kept on going home.
