Cheeseburger and fries
Jemecia B.

The food was amazing. This is the best cheeseburger I've had in a long time! The service was wonderful however it was a bit chilly inside the restaurant today. If you're looking for great food, this is the place to come very family oriented, homestyle atmosphere.

Salad (I just lettuce) noodles swimming in sauce with no flavor taste like was put in microwave and served as is

Let me tell u this is the 4 th time I've got food from them since they changed owners and if this is the kind of food that a owner is going to let represent there company then I am ashamed because I just ordered Alfaro spaghetti and I was just in awww how they sent it it looks like and tast like they took noodles and put it with a jar of Alfredo sauce put it in microwave and sent it to be diluvered it tast like u would think of jar sauce and that's it no seasoning nothing not even enough noodles so much sauce that you would've thought. This was Alfredo soup tast like I was eating a raw potato,

Ordered 2 subs Philly steak toasted xtra veggies and mayo Sub was wet not toasted no extra veggies and veggies were old steak isn't real beef weird texture and no taste Italian with xtra veggies toasted. Sub wasn't toasted and again old veggies bread was also wet weird tasting mayo Sure this place is using very low quality ingredients Bread is not a sub quality more like a hero size Restaurant has changed hands and the food isn't good Sad thing is my husband asked when checking out did items have xtra veggies and toasted and the lady said Yes. She said when I called and addressed that she said well I didn't make it but it was written on the ticket ?? That's amusing. When I called to tell them that food was disappointing we were told that we could bring them back to get remade Not sure of many people who want to make a 40min round trip to remake their food My husband said when he was checking out that he heard the lady tell someone the same thing over their phone about their pizza. So I guess they have a problem with serving low quality food. Wish we could post without any stars because it's just that bad

I have been coming to riccos for years. I always get the same thing but have experimented from time to time. The Alfredo is phenomenal most of the time. Other times the pasta and meat could use a little more seasoning. The service is always prompt and courteous. I just wish I could catch "the cook" that puts the extra pizzazz on the food consistently

Raw dough stromboli
Raven S.

Ordered using their new online ordering. Only gives option for pick up. Was supposed to be ready in 35 minutes. Arrived for pick up before then and it was ready. People behind the counter just looked at me for a minute then walked up to me without saying anything. I got my food. Checked it to see if it was what I ordered and it was all right. We went straight home to eat. Got a large cheese pizza, large Stromboli and small garden salad. The Stromboli is not cooked all the way. The dough on the bottom is raw. The salad looks disgusting. Tomato's are old, onions translucent and lettuce wilted. Also the salad came with no dressing. It seems there's always something wrong when I order from here except the pizza.

While others may have a more extensive wine list, Azzurri blends family-friendly comfort food with a warm, inviting, and clean atmosphere. Pair that with the friendly, personable staff and restaurant full of regulars and locals, and you have a winner all around. I even saw one couple walk in, hold up two fingers, and were recognized and seated immediately by the owner (by the way, this place is owned and run by a family--one gentleman even cooks in the kitchen some while his mother serves guests.) I've ordered the same dish elsewhere and this was the best I've had. It was absolutely clear to me that everything truly was homemade. If I had any suggestions, it would be a more extensive wine list and olives in the house salad! But that's trivial really, because this place is already a total gem. I look forward to many more meals here. Not pictured here is the pizza; a local fan favorite that I can vouch for.

You could tell the staff was hustling to keep up with all their tables, but they never dropped the ball. Nice cozy vibe too, felt intimate without being cramped. Portions were generous, no complaints there. We had a mix of pastas and pizzas across the table and everyone walked away happy -- food was solidly in the 7.5-8.5/10 range from all of us. Only thing , entrees come with a salad, but you can upgrade to soup instead. I'm not really a salad guy so I asked about soup, and I'm glad I did because it was really good. Just wish that was more clearly listed on the menu (maybe I missed it, but a few of us didn't realize it was an option until I asked). Definitely worth a revisit.

I'm not big into Italian food so maybe that's why. But just this Friday, a friend in a social group celebrated her birthday. So I decided to join in and finally check out this spot. Let's see how the night went, shall we? Our party had a reserved table up front by the check-in booth and the bar. Inside the decor is a bit dated, but everything was clean and tidy. Overall, it's not that big of a restaurant, but it can fit a decent crowd. After enjoying some salad and garlic bread, we were all ready to order. My meal was Pollo Marsala. Overall, the dish was good. I preferred slightly bigger chicken breasts, but what I had was good enough. The protein was cooked nicely and there was enough spaghetti to mix with the chicken and mushrooms. I also had some grated parmesean cheese which added some flavor to the dish. What a wonderful night for all of us. Table service, hospitality and good food. You couldn't have asked for anything more. Yours truly will be back soon :)

The restaurant is fairly upscale, dinner had candle lights and the tables were a little close together. Definitely a good spot for a date night. Highly recommend.

This has been high on my "want to try" for a long time and finally saw an opportunity with an available reservation, went for it and am so happy I did. I dined solo, which I rarely do, but this was the perfect place for it. It was apparent that most people dining were regulars. The owner was chatting with just about everyone and diners were popping over to other tables to say hello, as well. Felt like a very small town. Service was perfect - not overbearing, but perfectly timed for a good flow throughout dinner. Their menu changes often, so some of the items I loved, may not be available - but it does seem like their fried oysters are a mainstay and holy moly, they were delicious. I had one cocktail - I believe it was called Watermelon Sugar. It had vodka, aperol and fresh watermelon. Refreshing and smooth. I tried two apps: the fried oysters and the bao buns. Both were fantastic. Perfectly prepared, so much flavor. I think that next time, I would stick to the appetizer section and try many rather than getting an entree. I got the scallops, which were delicious, but the apps wow-ed me more. Prices aren't low, but you get what you pay for - really high quality dishes with lots of thought and execution embedded. I don't say this lightly - this has been added to my top 10 list in all of Hampton Roads!

Not a lot of parking in the front, but plenty behind. There is a large patio that has vinyl walls, but it doesn't look to be air conditioned at all. Inside is very small and is essentially the kitchen. They were remodeling so the dining room section was closed off. Unfortunately, it was very warm in the area we sat in. Waitstaff: Absolutely wonderful! Our server made our drinks and was knowledgeable in all of the cocktails we asked for which was a breath of fresh air because many places we have gone are not familiar with The Last Word or a Boulevardier (seems odd to me). Food: They started off with some bread and salted butter. We thought it was a little too salty for our tastes, but good none the less. We tried the watermelon salad and clams. Both were really, really good and would highly recommend both. We finished with a fig tart that was excellent! Overall: For the evening, I would rate this a 4.5 restaurant.
