Recently I've been trying to write upbeat reviews but I just can't this time because this place is terrible. The only positive I have is that the server was nice so here goes... When i was seated next to my table there was a dead water bug that was about two inches long, yuck! I ordered spaghetti and meatballs with bread. First of all the bread was undercooked and doughy, yuck! The sauce was bitter, yuck! And the meatball was rotten, yuck! Never again!

Pasta with other sauce (fettuccini alfredo with chicken).. Subpar..

Had it delivered to my home off of door dash. Maybe we expected too much from an "Italian" restaurant.. Im not sure what happened. When you think of garlic bread with cheese, you probably expect something a lil like pizza huts garlic bread with cheese. Not this place! You get a few big slices of, i think, wheat bread, with slices of not great cheese. When you think of a salad, you probably think, lettuce, tomato, maybe some onion, possibly some dressing even.. Nope you get just a box of lettuce.. Maybe a single cucumber (my husband was lucky enought to get a cucumber in his lettuce). So we get to the entrees. I got the "pasta with other sauce" (really its just fettuccini Alfredo with chicken).. Super greasy. Otherwise tolerable. Husband got a "lasagna".......... It was bland, the cheese was the same nasty cheese that was on the bread.. It was just not good pasta.. I would like to say they tried... But i feel like they didnt take the time to make sure we had a good meal. Might give it one more try just to make sure it was really they best theyve got. But ill need to give it some time..

One waitress is tough. She did a good job considering. They do pizza by the slice which is nice. Price starts at $2.45. Large portions. The restaurant could use some updating. It is the same decor from the 80s. Very dark.

Great pizza place. Staff is wonderful amd they make you feel at home! Our five topping pizza that included anchovies was cooked to order and everything was ready and right on time. This place is a local favorite and everyone who lives in the area supports it. You should come by and support it too!!

The place is small, somewhat intimate/ close seating, but we were seated in a booth so not directly facing any other diners. The place was hopping! I started off with some very nicely brewed unsweet tea. A large plate of garlic knots were placed on the table. They were a bit doughy inside, just needed another minute of cook time. Portions are huge. We ordered one of the specials, 3 canneloni topped with shrimp and scallops, 2 large pieces of chicken parm with spaghetti, and a sausage with penne pasta. All meals included a basic green salad. We each ate about half of our entrees. They were very tasty! Service was attentive. Bill came to about $80 for 3 meals, a tea and a soda. The parking lot is busy but plenty of spaces, entrance tight for a wheelchair user but no steps. Dining area is very crowded. Still, we were looking for a slightly more upscale Italian meal and this did fill the bill. Plus we have pretty much a complete meal to take home!

I could tell that they have a well-oiled operation in that regard! Other than that, I'm afraid everything else was just extremely mediocre and bland. The only good food item we had was the bread. My husband and I both got different plates of ravioli of which was undercooked (I realize al dente is a popular way to prepare, but we don't care for it at all). My dish came in a wine sauce and it just looked and tasted like a microwaveable Lean Cuisine meal. We wouldn't recommend and wouldn't return.

I'm not big into Italian food so maybe that's why. But just this Friday, a friend in a social group celebrated her birthday. So I decided to join in and finally check out this spot. Let's see how the night went, shall we? Our party had a reserved table up front by the check-in booth and the bar. Inside the decor is a bit dated, but everything was clean and tidy. Overall, it's not that big of a restaurant, but it can fit a decent crowd. After enjoying some salad and garlic bread, we were all ready to order. My meal was Pollo Marsala. Overall, the dish was good. I preferred slightly bigger chicken breasts, but what I had was good enough. The protein was cooked nicely and there was enough spaghetti to mix with the chicken and mushrooms. I also had some grated parmesean cheese which added some flavor to the dish. What a wonderful night for all of us. Table service, hospitality and good food. You couldn't have asked for anything more. Yours truly will be back soon :)

Well, it took a while, but they did not disappoint. We arrived there at 5 PM on the dot. My first question was, where is everybody? They explained that they just opened for dinner. We started with calamari that was so light and tender, was so wonderfully seasoned, that had the most wonderful dipping sauce-I could've had another order of it. They presented with the most fresh and tasty bread that was covered with cheese. Oh my gosh, my mouth is watering just thinking about it and then we ordered it and I wish I had taken pictures, but I did not two of their signature dishes. Mine included shrimp and scallops, and my sister's had seafood and sausage. They made the most delightful dinner salad and the freshest and lightest dressing you could ever taste. It was such clean food you tasted every single ingredient. The weight staff was polite and available -the ambience was absolutely beautiful. Before we left the place was full and I can understand why. The owner is delightful and I have to go back. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys good Italian food. We even had leftovers for lunch in the next day. They did not disappoint!

This has been high on my "want to try" for a long time and finally saw an opportunity with an available reservation, went for it and am so happy I did. I dined solo, which I rarely do, but this was the perfect place for it. It was apparent that most people dining were regulars. The owner was chatting with just about everyone and diners were popping over to other tables to say hello, as well. Felt like a very small town. Service was perfect - not overbearing, but perfectly timed for a good flow throughout dinner. Their menu changes often, so some of the items I loved, may not be available - but it does seem like their fried oysters are a mainstay and holy moly, they were delicious. I had one cocktail - I believe it was called Watermelon Sugar. It had vodka, aperol and fresh watermelon. Refreshing and smooth. I tried two apps: the fried oysters and the bao buns. Both were fantastic. Perfectly prepared, so much flavor. I think that next time, I would stick to the appetizer section and try many rather than getting an entree. I got the scallops, which were delicious, but the apps wow-ed me more. Prices aren't low, but you get what you pay for - really high quality dishes with lots of thought and execution embedded. I don't say this lightly - this has been added to my top 10 list in all of Hampton Roads!
