After calling around, I was told to take it to C. B. Perkins and "if they can't fix it, nobody can." This place is amazing! In addition to knowing all there is about guitars and guitar repair, these guys have so much history to tell about the music scene in the Bay Area. They were very upfront about what the cost to repair it would be and whether or not they could even repair it in the first place. They explained that this would take a while to get fixed because of the work involved, but that didn't bother us because again this is a family heirloom and we really wanted it repaired. But if you are serious about music, serious about guitars and stringed instruments, you won't find a better shop to go to. We have a sitar that needs repair and I'm hoping that they will do work on it but if they don't, I know that they will know the right place to take it to.

Took along time to get my repair finished but they did a good job. Been here a few times and that…read morealways seems to be the case.
