We shared the Pretzel and the fried pickles. Both were very good-but I will say the pretzel may have been the saltiest I've ever had and I bet if they gave them away they would make the lost revenue and then some back with increased drink sales...but having said that, we enjoyed it and love the accompanying beer cheese. The fried pickles were also very good and wouldn't hesitate to order them again. We LOVE the fried chicken sandwich here-so we ordered that again to split and split a basic cheese burger again. My mom was adventurous and ordered some kind of specialty burger and it was great! We all got the onion rings which are def what I recommend upgrading to personally-these are some of the best I've had and if I came solo I would get the chicken sandwich with onion rings. The pizzas do look solid but we had pizza already so that is another thing I would consider trying. One last note about the place, we visited this place in various states of business-the first being a Saturday and easily the busiest around 3ish. We went mid-week for lunch and that day it was slower but still had some folks in at around approx 2-3pm. Finally we came on Friday afternoon sometime after 3pm and left just before 4pm if I recall and it was fairly dead. I do think this place gets busy because it makes some good food and there is not a lot of other good options very close-there are 2 well reviewed on Yelp and one of them is another go-to for us...but if you like a good bar/roadhouse kind of vibe that makes good food I would def recommend you give it a shot!

They mentioned that they are closed normally on Sundays but they opened for school vacation...Yipee! Decor is classic Italian with a large bar and pizza oven looking right at you. We sat at the bar and ordered some drinks along with their wood fired garlic cheese bread. Kasey our bartender was extremely nice and conversational. She suggested a few of her faves! We also ordered the Polpette pizza xtra crispy. The restaurant was extremely crowded with families due to school vacation. You can tell its a popular neighborhood spot. The garlic cheese bread came out and it looked more like a mini pizza, but still delicious with the marinara sauce on the side. Afterwards, the Pizza came out and although not as crispy or well done as we would like, it was still good. We were full but had to look at the dessert menu because how could you not. Kasey recommended the Pistachio Risotto Cake and boy was it worth it. Actually to die for! Flavorful, soft and a delicious way to end a perfect meal. The white bean antipasto was interesting - we were all expecting more of a dip than just whole beans which were a bit difficult to eat on the bread, unlike a spreadable dip. This restaurant is open for only a couple of hours a day a run by one man and his pup . This pizza is homemade and the crust is really delicious. The pizza sauce was also very delicious as well and it had a special flavor to it and he says that it's his own special recipe and he will not tell anyone what it is. There are a downsides to this place though the one downside that I see is that when you buy a beverage you are buying it out of the bottle so you do not get refills you get one and done so you're actually paying more for drinks than you would in a normal restaurant where you would get refills for the sodas because it's a fountain drink. That is really the only negatives that I have about the place and the pup kind of just relaxes on the ground and you can't help but want to love them he's just adorable.
