Didn't get pizza but burrito instead. It was described as "stuffed with"... but I would say it was paper thin. The menu also said it came with guacamole on the side. menu shown here is way outdated - prices are doubled now - huge increase in prices while service and quality declined - $6 for a plain slice that are often old - this place was great before it began to decline - the very rich old owner apparently doesn't care and doesn't want to pay local kids so uses immigrants which is fine but it comes at expense of locals who also chat in recent years about decline of this once treasured local shack - the $20 burritos are gross. Stopped in for some quesadillas and pizza. I got the chicken quesadilla. It was decent. Hubby got the steak and cheese quesadilla and really liked it. We got a plain pizza and I really enjoyed it. Cute and quaint surf themed pizza place. Service was good, too. They were really busy with take out orders. Only one person working the counter and she was able to check in with us while also handling all the take out orders. read more

We were meandering through all the towns that make up the Berkshires and we landed in Lenox and decided we wanted to try out some pizza. Luckily for us we came across Betty's Pizza Shack. I gotta say, I wasn't too keen on this place at first sight because it was cash or check only (yes, i said check) and it looked kinda gimmicky and cashier was kinda awkward and seemed like we interrupted her in the middle of something even though there wasn't anyone around. Anyway, we just wanted slices so I ordered two plain cheeses which took about 10 minutes to heat up and get out to us. We were half way back to the car when we opened the box and noticed we in fact did not get two plain cheeses but two Hawaiian slices instead. Luckily for us, we're those people that LOVE pineapple on their pizza! The pizza itself was actually really phenomenal and the slices were huge - they come off of their 18" pies. The crust was nice and well done and the cheese and topping ratios were awesome. Would love to try a full one of their pies the next time around! read more

Loved the Greek chicken salad and dressing and the fresh mozzarella bell peppers, and mushrooms with pepperoni were all outstanding. Needed a nap to digest later! Favorite pizza in the Berks -- haaands down. The Ride the Pig, Maui Mushroom and El Cholo (it's a freaking cheesesteak pizza) have always been my go-tos but I'm sure you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I have friends who swear by the wings and burritos, too. The service could not be worse here. The gal running the show was rude on so many levels I am astonished that someone interacting with customers like that can keep their job. There aren't a lot of pizza options in the area, and we had two kids that had their heart set on pizza. At 4 pm when we arrived, she said it would be a 20 minute wait for a table, and another 30 minute wait to get the pizza. After many levels of rudeness we finally got our food and perhaps the pizza was fine but the rude and uncivil service had already left such a bad taste in our mouth that we found it to be meh. The crust was tasty but the sauce was bland, with white rounds of mozzarella. If you have another option, take it. If you don't, beware of the long wait times, cash or check only policy, and expect to be disrespected. read more

Great Club Chicken sandwich on a toasted sub roll! Eat in experience was excellent. Service was excellent. Wait time was less than 15 minutes for sandwich, but drinks were served right away. Darling Betty's...I spend the summers in Lenox, MA for work and this is one of my favorite places. Is it the best pizza I've ever had? No. But it's definitely delicious! It's also fast, friendly, fun, and affordable. I miss their pizza..so it must be good! Betty's has thin crust pizza and they use interesting and tasty ingredients (as well as the usual suspects of pepperoni, mushroom, etc). One of my favorites is the Mr. Zogg pizza, with chorizo, cilantro, garlic, pepper jack cheese, and other stuff I can't recall...but it is yummy!! They also have a few sandwiches and quesadillas, but I rarely see anyone order them. The place is decorated like a Hawaiian tourist trap exploded inside, which I get a big kick out of. They serve cheap beer ($2.50 or $3), and buckets of ponies (smaller, 7-oz bottles) - 6 bottles for $9. Awesome. Check out Betty's. read more

My wife and I decided to give this place a try for a new pizza place. The inside is pretty cool with the beach theme and all. We sit down and a very loud and obnoxious young 20 something girl greets us and sits us. Takes our drink order of a beer and a glass of wine. As she is complaining to a customer at the counter that she got called in on her day off. she delivered our drinks by literally slamming them down on the table, we ordered a pizza and began to wait. She would not stop complaining very loudly and using profanity. As it went on, I asked her to change my order to a pizza to go, there was no way we could sit thru that anymore. We got the pizza, finished our drinks,paid and left. The pizza was pretty good so for now if I get it again it will takeout. This girl was unprofessional, loud and obnoxious. Betty's pizza is a surf oasis in the midst of a quintessential small New England town. The "shack" is full of multi-colored lights, surf decorations, and trash can stools. Truly original. My kids enjoyed coloring their own paper plates and adding them to the collection of the wall. Great pizza and wings. A 14-inch "short board" cheese fed 3 hungry children with a couple of slices to spare. I loved the Surf The Goat combo with garlic, caramelized onions, sun dried tomatoes and, of course, goat cheese. Another plus: $3 coronas. Only negative: no credit cards accepted. We stopped at Betty's after a visit to Edith Wharton's The Mount. I recommend them both! read more

I found it annoying that I had to wait outside while one other customer was inside. I understand that with COVID-19 they are taking safety measures but if we're all wearing masks and can easily be 6 feet apart inside, there is no reason to not let at least 3 customers in at a time if picking up food. The door at the entrance also needs to be replaced and it is hard to exit while carrying a large pizza. The actual food isn't anything special, IMO. Extremely greasy, I could probably squeeze the grease out of each piece of pizza and fill a glass with it. The dough also did not seem too fresh. read more

The pizza was tasty and still hot after arriving at the hotel and the sweet/spicy wings were some of the best I have ever had! The sauce was delicious and the meat practically fell off the bone. Pizza is good. But timing is always questionable. Order at 5 for a 6 pm pickup and either get it on time lukewarm or at 6:30 due to large orders or an excuse about the oven.
