I'm just done with the fact cell phones use , not checked, ruins it for other people. I'm so over the non sense.

They have a pretty decent sized children's book area, so this is a great place to bring the kids for story time or for them to pick out some new books to bring home. When the weather's nice, this is a great place to come to and sit outside while enjoying a good book. There are benches in the "garden" where you can have a moment of reflection, or sit with a friend. They offer a lot of activities and events on site, so as you walk in the doors, be sure to check their bulletin boards for dates/times.

If you want a book that they don't have they get it for you. Well I guess that is a function of this library system. But you won't get any complaints from me about the library system in AA County Whoever runs it realizes how important a library is to the citizens of the County. This branch is near to a large school system and I see the students using it. This is an important resource for school children as well as older studenst and it is good to see that they have the chance to see how a good library can help them. And I hope that it will continue to be here for all of us for many years to come. My wife and I are senior citizens now, and we like to joke with the staff that we are their best customers! We use the books and, the DVD movies as well as the papers and magazines and of course the research of the Librarians themselves from time to time. I consider our library system to one of the best uses of our tax dollars. (And the Mountain Road branch is one of the best)

Each has great explanations and descriptions of the featured work. My only "complaint" is the restricted access to all of the library's levels except a few aisles on the ground floor. I'd have truly loved to explore more of this architectural gem with its abundance of literary and historic treasures. There are usually coloring and activity pages available near the children's librarian's desk as well. The staff in the area is helpful and courteous. There is a children's restroom in the kids' area complete with toddler-sized potty and changing table. There is a changing table in the lobby women's room as well. There are usually plenty of parents around, and if you're a nursing mom, you'll never get the evil eye here (though you shouldn't get it anywhere, y'know?). Throughout the year, the library offers programs for children of all ages. These range from Babies in Bloom (newborn-24 months) to teen classes and workshops. I'd love to give the West County Area Library five stars, but I just can't get past the modern architecture and the somewhat sterile vibe. I guess that I just like a library to have some character (and no, that doesn't mean cobwebs and card catalogs; just a more traditional look).

The first thing that caught my eye was the Dogfish Café vending machine to the left when you enter the library. I thought this was genius! If patrons are studying or spending a significant amount of time at the library, they're likely to get hungry and need a quick snack. The library also appears to have a study room and plenty of computers available in the main area, which is convenient for students and anyone who needs a place to work. The children's area was colorful and inviting, with fun window-pane decorations and an aquarium that I'm sure kids enjoy. This branch is a little farther from me than my local branch, so I probably won't visit regularly. However, I would definitely return if I'm looking for a particular book that isn't available at my usual branch.

The ceiling here is gorgeous, and I like the listing of the various services offered to people in the area. Apparently, there was a guy who he thought was clearly high or similar, staring at anyone entering the men's bathroom. From the bit I interacted with the staff, they seemed friendly and helpful. I looked through a bit of their offerings, and they had a surprisingly large number of old films to rent, among other things. In short, a nice place to visit and take a load off.

It was truly a great exhibit and so amazing to see and relearn about so many pivotal points in his career, community impacts and soundtrack to his life and career. This is the oldest library in Balitmore city. I'm sad I just found it a few months ago. It's such a…read morelovely place. It's quite small but packed with the best items and it mainly attracts children as there's a school next door. But the staff is always super friendly - I never have my physical card but they can find me or enter in my number. The library also does a summer reading challenge (I just learned about this). If you sign up for the challenge in June, you get a free book for three months. I only signed up in July so I got my first free book and I will be going back in August. They also do a reading challenge so you just tell them how many books you read that month and then they enter you into a raffle I will for sure be signing up early next year and I just recommend everyone do this. It's amazing!
