I got up , told front desk guy, he refused to address the situation because his computer games he was playing were more important. I politely walked out. Libraries are not what they used to be. Staff don't have a back bone to enforce the rules. People can't even come and study no more without some inconsiderate individual on their cell phone. I'm just done with the fact cell phones use , not checked, ruins it for other people. I'm so over the non sense.

Covid has made things a little different, but it seems like they have pivoted, updated, and re-updated their policies as things change. Just FYI, this location doesn't have the biggest kid section but I always am able to check out the books I went by requesting them online first!

They have a pretty decent sized children's book area, so this is a great place to bring the kids for story time or for them to pick out some new books to bring home. When the weather's nice, this is a great place to come to and sit outside while enjoying a good book. There are benches in the "garden" where you can have a moment of reflection, or sit with a friend. They offer a lot of activities and events on site, so as you walk in the doors, be sure to check their bulletin boards for dates/times.

One glance at the bulletin board got me excited as they have so many events lined up - all organized by the dedicated staff. This library is part of the Howard Library network and has a great set of books. Both their website and app are user-friendly to browse, hold and check out books. This location is utterly breathtaking in terms of accessibility for people in the city and the architecture. I champion all libraries and we should be flooding them to take advantage of the clubs, panels, classes, and other resources. Today I checked out the Carmelo Anthony exhibit which has been extended to the 19th of January. It's completely FREE! It was truly a great exhibit and so amazing to see and relearn about so many pivotal points in his career, community impacts and soundtrack to his life and career. You also can sign up for a Melo library card (limited edition)!! I think this is a great initiative to get people into the library again and reintroduce why the library is an amazing place to be!

One time you go " here" to find your schedule and the next time you go elsewhere. Then the next time you may find it in a totally different place. Then, you can't find it all. Sometimes when you find your schedule and it opens its empty and totally devoid of info such as start times and location. I've met at least 10 people telling me the same thing. What is the Webmaster doing?? Do they even have a Web person??? TERRIBLE for an institution of higher learning.

This is the oldest library in Balitmore city. I'm sad I just found it a few months ago. It's such a…read morelovely place. It's quite small but packed with the best items and it mainly attracts children as there's a school next door. But the staff is always super friendly - I never have my physical card but they can find me or enter in my number. The library also does a summer reading challenge (I just learned about this). If you sign up for the challenge in June, you get a free book for three months. I only signed up in July so I got my first free book and I will be going back in August. They also do a reading challenge so you just tell them how many books you read that month and then they enter you into a raffle I will for sure be signing up early next year and I just recommend everyone do this. It's amazing!
