Tram was absolutely AMAZING! I booked last minute for a wax. I searched high and low on Groupon for a good deal where they were open today and found them. A little far from the airport but doable. Just a tip, businesses especially smaller ones such as these prefer if you call and book with them directly instead of booking on Groupon because they take a profit out. They usually give you the same deal or better! The ambiance was very relaxing and nice. They have referral fees if you bring friends the best that I've never seen before out of a salon and spa. Anne is sooo sweet I found her on Groupon for $25. Her suite is in Salon Village on Dairy Ashford which is like 5 mins from my house. When I arrived Anne greeted me and was very pleasant. She used used honey wax and regular wax during my session. Not sure what the difference is. It actually didn't hurt as bad as other Brazilians I've had in the past. It went pretty quickly and we talked the whole time. Despite being in a awkward position the whole time Anne made me laugh and had great conversation. I was so nervous about getting my first wax because I'm not a size 6. LOL I sent Anne a text inquiring if she thinks she could wax me. She took time out of her busy day to text and then call me back. She alternated between the two type of waxes (bead wax and honey wax) and man she got every hair out, even my couple of ingrown! The best wax ever! **Let me say this will be long but I want to make sure that I give details to help others.** First of all I have a really low pain tolerance. So low that I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for 5 years and still shed a tear when getting them done. LOW PAIN TOLERANCE! I have had maybe 5 Brazilian waxes in my life but have always wanted to really get a hang of them to avoid the ingrown hairs and darkening of the skin that comes along with shaving. However, the first time I received a wax I had a bad reaction to the wax and it hurt so bad I almost peed on the esthetician. The other times that I went there was significant amount of time in between them because I couldn't make myself go and of course the pain hurt. I tried EWC and had to tweeze myself for about an hour once I got home because so much hair was left. Fast forward to present day when I told myself that I can go through the pain for 30 minutes so I can get the results I am looking for. So a month ago I made my way to PK and had a wax that hurt. Like it hurt. I was sweating, cursing, crying and just wanted it over. I noticed when leaving and driving home I was sore sitting down and it hurt for a good 2 days afterwards. (I am talking about my skin actually hurts.) I know they had good reviews but I was thinking maybe I should shop around to find a place that will not hurt as bad. From searching on google I noticed I started to receive pop ups from Groupon about waxes so I started to research each location. I saw the previous reviews posted by others so I decided to give Anne's Wax Spa a try. Mind you the spa is located at Dairy Ashford and I-10 and I live in the TMC. It took me a good 30 minutes to get to the location but I am thinking with the groupon driving to this location is still cheaper than me going to PK which is 7 minutes from me. Once I arrive I notice it is Anne herself. Now this I am actually happy about because I know that if I were to come to her all the time I wouldn't have many different women looking at my Debbie snacks. Cool with me. She immediately introduces herself, takes my groupon and have me lie down on the table. While there she starts to tell me about her honey wax that does not hurt as much and that I could benefit from using it in some areas while she will still need to use the bead wax for other areas. I am all about finding a less painful waxing method so I agree to it. I am not going to say it does not hurt, it is a wax after all, but the pain was very minimal and she did it with a total of 8 pulls. 8 do you hear me!!!?? She was talking to me about Austin and her daughter and pulled 4 times then she gets up to grab the other wax so I take the time to look down to see how many more of these yanks I have to go through and I was shocked there was no hair visible to my eyes. (Think about the position you are in....no hair in sight.) Let me shorten this up! 4 yanks later and I am baby smooth!!! I have no idea what the honey wax is..honestly when I am laying in happy baby pose with a football light on my debbie snacks there isn't much that you can say to me that I will retain. All that I know is that I will continue to see Anne for my waxing as she removed e.v. e. r. y. h. a. i. r. with 8 strips/yanks and my skin looks and feels amazing. Not only that, when I go back her regular waxes with half honey/half bead wax is only around $45. Not only do I get a less painful wax, I know that I will LOVE the results, and I will pay less than going to commercial franchised waxing spas. As I was walking to my car I called my bestie to tell her about my wonderful experience. Anne's Wax Spa is fairly new but Anne is very experienced, the wax that she use is amazing/not painful at all, and she is very professional & friendly. (I honestly think women who have been waxing for awhile or have a high pain tolerance may not feel any pain during her waxes with the honey wax. It was that good!) read more
