I have been a member of club orange for YEARS and been coming to this location forever; I've only been to another location once. About a year ago this location was bought by a new owner and they started making changes. It's taken about a year, and I'm finally over it and making my final decision and reviewing. First issue, when the new owner came around she let go many of the seasoned employees and all of the waxers that I was familiar with were replaced or left. Most of the new staff were friendly (some had major attitude issues) but it was hard to find someone I really liked (gotta feel pretty comfortable with someone in order for them to be touching around in my private areas). Just recently after a year of trying to find a good provider, it seems there has been another mass exodus of employees and everyone is new again. New isn't bad, but inexperience is. I've now seen 4 different girls and all of their wax techniques are different. Some use HUGE strips and some you can tell are rushing. Every time I leave, I'm in throbbing pain and the area that was waxed is very tender. This is not something that use to happen in the past. But now, this past year under new ownership, I don't think I've left feeling 100% satisfied about a wax once. Secondly, it seems that they are cutting costs and corners in some of the most ridiculous places. They switched the pre-wax wipes to these garbage wipes that are so flimsy they rip when you try to use them. The draping paper towels they use are smaller and more see through as well. It's little things that once you've been coming to a business for years, you notice when they change, and especially when they change for the worse. Lastly, three times in a row now when I arrive for my appointment during business hours, the front door is locked and no one is at the front desk to notice to open the door for me. I have to call the number and ask to be let in. This location is not in a sketchy part of town and there is absolutely no reason for the front door of an establishment to be locked during business hours. If you want to have the front door locked, then there should be a team member at the front ready to open the door at all times. Customer should not have to stand outside and wait to be let in after they call. I am not planning on canceling my membership, but I might try out a different location that's not owned by this person. I use to love Waxing the City and would rave about how great the membership was. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone now. read more

Do not sign up for a membership, you won't be able to cancel it. After trying to cancel Dec 8th, January and May, I had to finally call Amex and get them to block the charges. I called numerous times and they always say Management isn't in. What a scam. read more

Extremely disappointed with this business. I called back in January specifically to cancel my membership. Instead, they sent me a link to freeze it--which I did not ask for. They froze the account anyway and ever since, I've seen money going in and out of my account repeatedly. A few months later, I caught on and called again. I spoke with the owner, who was kind enough to refund the membership fee and assured me it was canceled. I thought that resolved the issue. Unfortunately, it wasn't. Months later, the same thing started happening--charges being pulled and refunded. I called again and got stuck talking to a manager named "Ms. Burns" who couldn't even provide her first name. She was rude, interrupted me constantly, and even hung up on me. I also spoke to someone named Jaden, but still got no help. They said they'd send another link (again, not what I wanted), and I still haven't received anything. I had to explain the situation three different times and still no resolution. At this point, I'm considering legal action. The customer service is some of the worst I've ever experienced. I won't be coming back, and I strongly recommend others look elsewhere. read more

I have been here twice so far. My first time was a day before my birthday. My cerologist is Melanie. Her smile and welcoming attitude confirmed I had the right person. I had brow tint, lower arms and legs and upper lip. Melanie was absolutely wonderful. If she is booked, I will come another day she is available just to make sure. Oh, I forgot to mention that Melanie was so thorough, making sure everything looked as it should, I felt like I was given the white glove treatment. My cerologist was named Kelly.. I RECOMMEND Kelly because my waxing experience was phenomenal. Kelly made me feel comfortable and shared so much knowledge with me about waxing. Logan did a full Brazilian on me today & I can honestly say this has been the best experience I've had! Pain wasn't bad at all! Even taught me a few things about exfoliating def recommend! Update: I went back for my 6 week full Brazilian and tried out someone else since Logan was out and let me tell you DO NOT cheat on your esthetician. Went home and realized that I didn't get a full Brazilian back strip wasn't properly waxed nor the inner area. It doesn't feel as smooth as it did the first time. i went today she did like average at waxing my eyebrows, i wasn't disappointed but i wasn't like super happy (lines weren't sharp at all & she did like 10 wax strips instead of the usual 2-3/ brow which was nerve wracking) but i wasn't gonna complain. about 20 minutes after leaving my brows started itching SO BAD ... i've been waxed at nail salons a million times and this never happened . she put some sort of "serum" on after waxing & im not sure what it was , i assumed it was the normal oil they use to get the rest of the wax off but idk . now 7 hours later & after washing my face and doing my normal skincare routine it won't stop itching really concerned & i for sure won't be going back.... would love to know what this mystery serum was or why this is happening. read more

I got the Brazilian done by Katherine. I forgot to take painkiller but she was really gentle and making sure that I was ok. She explained to me that in Waxing the city, the Brazilian usually takes longer because they do small strips so the pain is minimal. She recommended to get a Brazilian done every 4 weeks. Before checking out, we came to the front desk so she can show me the products that she recommended. After that, she left me with the receptionist (she was really nice too) so I can check out. They didn't push you to purchase the products so that was a plus. Another thing is they offer 50% off promotion for new customers so it doesn't hurt to try. Everything was great until I got home to realize I paid for a full Brazilian only to receive a full bikini. The waxer did not do the back strip, or lower labia. Mind you I am very pregnant and cannot see myself below the belly.
