The following review is for their standard manicure ($18, before tax and tip). *Atmosphere* The space is incredibly large for a nail salon, although you wouldn't know it when walking by as the windows are covered with a large decal. The salon is clean and bright, and there is a long row of tables for manicures, a row of chairs for pedicures, and several shelves filled with a wide selection of nail polishes. Everything is comfortably spaced out, and does not feel cramped at all. *Service* Service is stellar. The staff are incredibly polite and friendly, and really go the extra mile to make your experience pleasant. When I was selecting my nail polish at the beginning of my visit, they helped me find a family of colours that I could consider and compare. At the end of my manicure they also helped me zip up my jacket, backpack and wallet to ensure that the zippers did not ruin the fresh manicure. *Quality* When it comes to the manicure itself, the staff are all very detail-oriented and careful. Here, they apply two thin coats of colour for a beautifully precise nail polish, as opposed to globbing on a single layer like other places do. This way, the nail polish also dries a little faster. They also include a hot towel, a hand/wrist massage and hand lotion. In addition, I find that there is something unique about the hand drying machines that they use that really helps take the smell away from the nail polish varnish, which is much appreciated! One small area of improvement would be the entertainment or TV: the day I visited the TV was playing the news whereas in the past I recall they played movies. It would have been nice to watch something a little more entertaining and less dry than the news, but overall this ultimately does not affect the end result of my manicure. For a manicure, I would definitely recommend the Bayview Nails & Spa. It's a lovely, relaxing neighbourhood spot, and they really give you the star treatment!

Decided to check out Nail and Beauty Station after reading the other reviews and honestly, I was not disappointed! At first glance, the establishment was very clean with a cute interior design. Lindy was the one who did my nails - she was super nice, professional, and extremely patient with me, especially when I was trying to describe exactly how I wanted my nails shaped. She also helped choose the colour, which I am a big fan of! I had a full set of bio gel nails done, and couldn't be happier about the result. Definitely coming back soon for my refills (they also gave me a point loyalty card). I've previously been to a few salons in the past that for some reason, always managed to slightly knick my cuticle a little bit which led to some bleeding, but no problems here!

The first time I had Linda do my nails that was an amazing experience. She was so friendly and did an amazing job for a simple shellac change of colour. Her prices are very affordable compared to others in Markham. The shellac also lasted 4 weeks before one of the fingers lifted which is amazing for shellac and the same lasting power as my regular salon. So I decided to come back and get a change of shellac today. I got another lady to do my nails. She wasn't there last time. She was extremely fast- I was done within 30 minutes which is quick! But I only got a shellac change not a shellac manicure. But the whole time I felt rushed and she wound up cutting my finger (see picture) near the end when filing my fingers. She did apologize but it was clearly bleeding and no rubbing alcohol or anything was applied to it...I immediately went home to wash it obviously. That left a foul taste for me. It was my fault for cheating on my regular salon for a cheaper and closer location. I'm sure if I had Linda it would have been better but after this visit I doubt I will return unless I book with Linda specifcally. Price for shellac change is $20, shellac manicure $30. Her prices are very affordable but hygiene is a concern.

It wasn't even like I had fungus growing on me either. Notably, I had Cindy who was really slow on the pedi. Then today... I had Cindy, again. I picked a color that looked thick and nice on the example nail. But on my nail, it ended up being transparent. If I had nice natural nail tips... maybe I could pull it off as hipster/trendy, but this wasn't the case. Cindy did not tell me that it would look transparent, she just acted like everything was fine. The worst part was that when I told her how I felt, she tried to convince me that it was a good colour/look, and so did the manager. I mean, I think it's a no brainer that you're not looking for transparent nails, unless you ask for them specifically. So to rectify, they just took off the top coat, and put another colour that I chose. Obviously, to make it easy, since I was already there for an hour, I picked a dark colour. Right now, I have the remnant orange popping from the sides of the dark blue - poor job. Anyways, this experience took 1:30hr. Normally, a shellac experience should only take 45mins. If I was customer service, I would have offered a second appointment in the next couple of days to fix it for free. Now, I'm just never gonna go back. $25 + tip to waste my time and my money.

I had gotten my nails done at Daisy Nails a few years ago and decided to return for their services. My friend and I opted to go to Daisy Nails and Spa for our manicures (removal and shellac manicure for me, a shellac mani and pedi for my friend) on a Friday afternoon. I called about 3 weeks prior to the appointment as I wanted to make sure we got our manis together or around the same time. The staff were prompt to take my name and number down during the phone call. Day of our appointment, although we arrived on time we still had to wait about 10-15 min for our nail technicians. I probably waited a bit longer. The place was a little over half full and all the nail technicians were busy with other customers. My shellac removal and manicure took almost 1.5 hours long (usually would take me about an hour at another salon, however, I did have to wait a bit in the beginning). My nail technician was attentive and friendly. I had 2 split nails which she was aware of and took care to cover them up. She also listened to how I wanted to shape my nails and made sure I was okay with the length. Manicure wise, she did a great job! My friend was also happy with her mani and pedi services. If you pay cash you don't need to pay tax. They do however, accept credit and debit as well. Overall, good salon around the neighbourhood. It is a popular place so it does get quite busy, best to book an appointment ahead of time, especially on the weekends!

I like this spot, they always nail it! ;) They can do versatile nail art and attentive to detail on that. Cons. They don't have the friendliest service and don't listen as much. But if you show them a photo of what you wanna get done, they will do it. Overall, I always leave with nice nails and a happy mood.
