I use a cleaning service periodically for what I call "deep" cleaning...getting into the nooks and crannies, like the baseboards) that you don't catch with routine cleaning. I've used Annie the Maid services numerous times in 2011 and 2012. They are easy to schedule and punctual. I like the fact that they send several employees and get the whole house cleaned more efficiently than one person could. They go over a list with you before they start to ensure that they cover everything you want; including an option of hand-washing the bare floors! As with ANY cleaning company, you need to make sure you tell them if there is anything special you want done, but I have never been disappointed. They do a good job and are careful with your household items. Yes, they may cost a bit more than some of the "independent" services, but they are licensed, insured and trustworthy. read more
