I clearly explained how I needed them to fit and even told them ahead of time that if extra fabric needed to be added, I was completely okay with that. Unfortunately, it felt like my concerns were ignored. When I got the items back, they still did not fit properly at all, which completely defeated the purpose of paying for alterations in the first place. For the amount I paid -- especially with the added rush fee -- I expected much better communication, attention to detail, and results. I understand alterations can be difficult, but I would have appreciated honesty if the changes couldn't realistically be done the way I asked. Overall, this was a frustrating experience and I don't feel like my requests were listened to.

I thought this was plenty of time and she promised me they would be ready in a week. I went back a week later and she seemed confused and then found them in a pile of clothing. She told me they weren't ready (she hadn't even touched them!). Told me it would take another week. I was out of town the next week so I said I would pick them up the following week. When I came in to get them she handed them over and I looked at the job she did. She only ran two seams across the bottom of the pants legs. Entirely visible, ugly and crude. I expected that she understood what "hemmed" means. No, these were not hemmed (no seam should be visible)! I could have done this myself at home on my sewing machine. What a rip-off for $20! And now there was no time to fix it before the wedding (in 4 days!).
