If I could give zero stars, I would. I trusted Annie's Pet Grooming with my dog, Peanut, and I deeply regret that decision. My dog came home with cuts behind her ears, nails that had been quicked to the point of bleeding, and an uneven shave that was far shorter than requested. Her whiskers were shaved off, and within a day she developed relentless itching. We later found multiple live fleas on her despite her being on monthly flea prevention. I returned to request a refund because I did not believe this level of care was acceptable. Instead of any concern for my dog's injuries or any attempt to resolve the situation, I was immediately met with hostility. The owner called the police, had a report taken, and had me trespassed rather than addressing my concerns. While I was there, I personally observed the owner owner's dog that appeared to have numerous fleas bites. That only adds to my concerns about the condition of the facility. What shocked me most was not just the condition my dog was returned in, but the complete lack of accountability. There was no apology, no concern for Peanut's well-being, and no willingness to acknowledge that anything could have gone wrong. The physical injuries have been upsetting enough, but what has broken my heart most has been seeing the change in my dog. Over the past year, Peanut has slowly learned to trust people after coming out of her shell as a rescue. Since this grooming appointment, she has become noticeably more hesitant around strangers, and I've had to hand-feed her meals because she hasn't wanted to eat the way she normally does. Whether that's from pain, stress, or simply the experience itself, watching that confidence disappear has been devastating. Afterward, I went back and carefully read older reviews. I found multiple customers describing experiences involving dogs being injured, shaved much shorter than requested, concerns about fleas, and complaints being met with hostility instead of accountability. I encourage anyone considering this groomer to read every review--both positive and negative--and decide for themselves. Every groomer can make a mistake. What separates a reputable business from a bad one is accountability. In my experience, there was none. There was no apology, no concern for my dog's well-being, and no attempt to make things right--only denial, hostility, and escalation. She came home with cuts on her body, with fleas she did not have when I dropped her off, and with her whiskers cut off after I had specifically asked them not to. In the days afterward she wouldn't eat and was withdrawn. When I raised these concerns, I did not get an apology. I received voicemails from the owner accusing me of harming my own dog and threatening me. I kept the recordings. If this were only my word against hers, I'd understand some hesitation -- so don't take my word for it. Scroll down and read how the owner publicly answers other unhappy customers. In her own posted replies she has called a customer an "insane customer," claimed two different reviewers are secretly "the same person who tried to hurt my small business," told another they're "angry with whole world," and told a customer whose dog came back shaved that she "should report you to for an abuse the dog." That is years of the same response to anyone who complains: deny everything and attack the customer. Several reviews here also describe dogs coming home cut, bleeding, or with fleas/mites -- one needed a vet for a 103.5° fever and infections. When the same things repeat across years, and the owner's answer is consistently to call the customer a liar, that's a pattern worth taking seriously. Mistakes can happen at any groomer. She was absolutely lovely with my cat and did a great job grooming and bathing him, it was nice to be able to be there alongside her to keep my cat calm. absolutely unprofessional and rude. our dog was injured after being groomed here and is limping still because of this. the groomers refused to accept their mistakes and hysterically attacked us when we complained. I was appalled by their aggressive remarks and the absurdly baseless claim that she apparently MAKES SOME DOGS BLEED IN PURPOSE for better blood circulation. In short- rather than apologies or compensations all we received from this paid service was threats and insults against us and our poor bleeding dog! I cannot believe how a business so unsanitary, unskilled and rude is still in business. the WORST experience ever. read more

Worst place EVER!!! no call, no notification that she was going to shave my dog and leave her with NO HAIR. A poodle with no hair!!! WTF I really couldn't believe when my oldest picked her up and sent me the pictures below. Also I attached a pic of my dog just days ago. Big freaken difference. Grooming Salon butchered my Pomeranian I took my Pomeranian today 6.10.2021 for a grooming because it's his birthday and wanted him to look extra handsome. When I picked him up, he was very traumatized, and bald to the skin! I have never seen him act like this, he has been to other groomers and always was his happy little self when he left today, he's acting like he's been through a terrible experience. My heart is broken! There's something very wrong with this place and the owner. She is unapologetic and stated that she has already taken my money. I told her I was going to report her and give her a bad review and she has left me several voicemails threatening me that she knows where I live and not F*ck with her. I had to schedule an emergency doctor's visit and the police are now involved due to the threats. I'm hoping I could prevent this from happening to any other pets and owners. I never write reviews but she was so nice and super helpful and we were done in a super timely manner. went in with our cat and she was super kind to him and great to talk to. Gave us a bag and a calendar for fun great lady 10/10 if you need to give ur animals a cut I would definitely go to her she's been in this practice for 16 years so she knows what she's doing. This review is long over due as I still can't believe that my dog got very sick after I brought him here. I brought my 2 1/2 yr old shih tzu here for a regular dog grooming. When I picked him up I was shocked that they shaved all his fur that he looked like a chihuahua. He had cuts on parts of his body and contracted fleas/mites most likely picked up from other dogs who freely runs around all over the place. I ended up taking him to a vet hospital as he was running a high fever (103.5°). The vet found ear infection, scabs on his ears due to cuts. My poor dog couldn't walk as he had infection on his paws (skin separating from his paws). It cost us a lot of money just to get his health back. I like to support small business, but the lack of cleanliness and the safety of this place made me go back to Petco and I'm glad I did. I'm surprise this place is still in business. Our landlords recommended Annie when we moved to Edison 5 years ago. We've been taking our Maltese to her ever since. My husband and I believe in supporting small business, not big stores like PetCo (who actually did a horrible job on our dog when we first got him 9.5 years ago). Annie is a small business owner and such a friendly, kind, loving person. She always walks me to the door and waits for me to drive away and waved goodbye. If I could give this no stars I would! Save your money and do NOT take your pet here. I took my maltese there for his first grooming and I wasted $50 ! My dog was completely shaved down and it was horrible horrible horrible! The place was not good as all the dogs were just let loose running all over, I did not want my puppy aroumd so many dogs as he was small and I did not know how the other dogs were. and the back where she did the grooming was not clean and disgusting! read more

Where should I begin? I have a four year old shihtzu. He is a very hyper, stubborn dog and it is very hard for us to find a good groomer. We went to this grooming place three years ago and he loved her. She is great and dogs love her. I love the way she treats the pets. So we decided to stay. However, the place is not sanitary and it is not clean. She has dogs running around all over the place and I don't think it is a good idea. I told her once and she was offended. She also starts off with $50 for grooming and jacks up the price according to how she feels. You can't argue with her because she is very defensive about everything. I am in the middle of changing the groomer because every time my dog gets groomed at her place, he comes with rashes on his skin that turns into pus like pustules. I already spent over $500 for his treatment, not to forget that we changed his food and bathing products multiple times to see if he was allergic to it. One of the groomers told us that Annie uses older razors and she does not sanitize them well and therefore, she saw many dogs with those rashes. Please do not go to her. She is rude to her customers, and the place is not sanitary. One positive thing that I can say is that she treats pets very well and dogs love her. My dog loves her but unfortunately, I can't take him there anymore. :( read more

Most unsanitary and unsafe dirty place for your pets. My dog always coming home with rashes on body. Thanks God now we change groomer. She charge a lot of bucks.
